    Will unlinking cause me to lose my progress/data?

    Hello,

    I’ll try to explain this concisely! My Xbox account appears to be link to my PSN and MLBTS account. I want to link a new switch game to the account.

    However logging in to MLBTS account none of my systems appear.

    If I unlink my Xbox account in game- will I lose my progress (this is my main and only system I play with).

    • I want to create a new MLBTS account and link my Xbox and switch to that new account.

    Anyone ever unlink on their main system? Did you lose your data?

    I tried to get a refund from PSN and they told me their system wouldn’t allow them to give me a refund because SDS are the only ones that can do refunds for this title. I finally got a response from support yesterday after submitting 9 of them and I told them I was starting to lose my patience. I get home today and fire up the game and my content was back! Hopefully your issue gets resolved soon.

    Nice, do you think support put your content back? I’m in a similar back and forth. But with Microsoft and SDS support. Microsoft even emailed me saying we cannot solve your missing preorder content. Last email with SDS they sent me a link to PlayStation support. Which is frustrating because I even pasted photos of my game for them.

    I just wish they’d provide clear instructions on the linking and unlinking. I can currently unlink my Xbox from everything. I’m wondering if that will truly restore my preorder content.

    But then if I do, I’m afraid I’ll lose all my current progress and so I’m just holding off on linking/unlinking anything.

    Hello,

    My account was unlinked (in game). Now it is linked. I’m not sure what MLBTS account it’s linked to, since when I log into my MLBTS portal it shows I do not have any game (Xbox, PS) accounts linked. However when I log onto my game accounts (PS, XBOX) it shows I’m linked in all 3 accounts.

    I’m really confused. I was part of the group that lost preorder content. I don’t want to unlink again via my Xbox to only lose all my progress. I just want my preorder bonuses back.

    @Victor_SDS_PSN can you advise on how to properly unlink? And potential obtain my lost items.

    The PS5 seemed to link on its own. On the Xbox I just went for it and used the link code and it worked without a hitch.

    Hey Kyllin. Did you use the in game link code to link your Xbox to your MLBTS account?

    My stuff still hasn’t returned but my PSN and XBL are not linked to a MLBTS online account. They’re linked to each other.

    • We recently deployed some server side updates that reduced the number of "server exception" errors players were seeing. We will continue to monitor and prioritize server stability as we move forward.
    • We have server maintenance scheduled for 4 AM PT on Tuesday 4/27 (tomorrow). Barring any setback, this maintenance will include a fix to the unlinking issue that users have been reporting to us here on the forums.
    • And yes, we have a game update in the works. I can't go into details, but it includes many fixes to reported issues and more. Stay tuned for more info.

    Victor provided an update about the unlinking stuff in general discussion thread. Lord willing this fix works.

    I got pretty far into the game smh, but I’ll take my preorders. I enjoy the grind. Check out his post. Hopefully this fixes this.

    And hopefully SDS can make up for the delay and frustration. I’m hopeful.

    Kind of .. I worked the system... so I decided to buy the digital deluxe on the Xbox and redeemed all the stuff that came with it. And since it’s attached to that other Ps account still, I had it there except for the stubs that don’t transfer... I paid with a gift card and PayPal for the remainder. I requested a refund after I got everything and played a game with the items on PS.. the refund was approved and I still have all the items. And now I’m about to take the refunded money and buy stubs since it’s on game pass.

    XBOX/Microsoft refunded your money for the digital?

    Is anyone else getting “Error logging in” when trying to log into their MLB the show account (not PSN or XBOX)?

    Over the last 72 hours I can’t even get into my show account now :(.

    I tried resetting the password and I get an automated email that says here is your reset password code, but there is no code in the email.

    Now I can’t even access that account.

    I think people want their money back because at this point they’re doubting whether SDS will provide that (what you outlined for us).

    It’s been a week that many have been experiencing these issues. And we have yet to have any sort of solution (real solution, unlinking the account does not work for many!).

    I agree with you though, ideally I want to play and just receive what I paid for.

    I can no longer log into my MLB the Show account (username: JLafontNYC).

    I get “error logging in”. I can log onto both my PSN and Xbox accounts. Those accounts remain linked to one another, without the option to unlink.

    I bring this up because before I could access my MLB the show account (where I could try to unlink accounts). Now I can’t even get access to that.

    I did this too. However it didn’t restore my content. I am still missing all preorder bonuses from Jackie Robinson edition.
