I've been doing so many pxp missions with so many random guys for so long I don't remember who I actually like anymore...

I agree and made a similar post yesterday. Way too many good cards all at once free for everyone. You could literally get the game today starting totally new, spend a day doing TA3, and have a team of 99s...
-
FYI for anyone else that couldn't find him to get the 5Ks lol...
-
Just came up with this info replying to another thread, the only 3 cards in the game right now with 80+ contact and 100+ power vs both arm sides are Frank, Pujols, and Rizzo.
Yes he's slow as dirt, but if he wasn't he'd be a 95. He's also got over 70 vision and more than adequate fielding at first. He's one of the best pure hitting cards in the game, like it or not.
-
It sucks being done with the inning/program and xp counting for absolutely nothing. There should be a bonus pool that can carry over a bit to the next one or even just like a basic pack every 5k xp or whatever. Doesn't have to be great, but SOMETHING would be good.

What’s the goal to get through Stage 2? Seems very long and half the players u don’t get in packs so?
Exactly, is it get to Rizzo unlocks stage 3 or do you have to clear every stage 2 pxp mission? If it’s the latter I would need to spend about 50k to get no sell cards and that won’t happen. I will just stop with rizzo.
It does seem you need to do every pxp mission unless u buy all 9 of the POTM cards in order to get to Dawson and Rizzo
Why are the Topps now pxp and Monthly awards pxp not repeatable in stage 2? That’s confusing
No. You don't need to buy any of them.
Ummm, you do know that you CANT complete the Optional Collection UNTIL you get past Rizzo?
There are TWO collections. First one is to Collect Five POTM cards, which you HAVE to do to get Rizzo, and they give you Five packs to get those cards.
Then after you get past Rizzo; you get the last 4 of the 9 total POTM players. Those 4 go towards the Optional which is 9 cards.
They made the last four non sellable so you had to pick the remaining four and couldn't pick doubles of ones you already locked in.
I must be missing something then what do you need to accomplish in order to get all the points needed for stage two I see the collection where you lock in the five for 15 points I did all the moments and I did all of the PXP for many points like to 15 points but I still feel like I don’t have enough
After doing all the moments you need to do the Topps Now mission for 10 points. That'll get you 3 88 packs. Then you have to do their pxp missions. Then you'll get a 90 pack. You have to do that guys pxp mission. Then you have to use those 4 guys to get 2500 hitter pxp and 3000 pitcher pxp, which is quite a grind. Then you'll get the 2nd 90 pack and can do that that guys pxp mission and will be able to to the first collection. Then you'll get Dawson and have to do his pxp mission and then you're done stage 2

Double XP starts the 13th. I've only played offline so far (conquest and mini seasons) and I play on rookie 90% of the time with the occasional veteran or all star when needed in conquest. I don't have any issues finishing missions.
3000pxp with a team is painfully easy. Just use only players from that team. Pitchers get 40pxp just for pitching an inning! If you play a 3 inning game you'll get 90pxp just for 9 at bats, and the pitchers will get 120 just for 3 innings. That's 210pxp right there for getting no walks, no hits, no runs, and pitchers getting no strikeouts, no win, no hold and no save....
And you don't need to buy any diamonds or anything I have most of the team's gold and below done just from all the free packs, and I'll occasionally buy a gold or missing silver because I'm going to need them to finish the live series anyways. And if you're trying to get an individual player's pxp stick them near the top of the lineup to do two things at once.
-
I like the game a lot, but there needs to be more to do offline. I can only run the US conquest map so many times. There really should be offline seasons, playoffs, tournament, home run derby, etc etc. I don't even need "rewards", just another context besides conquest to work on parallels and other missions. Or even if they just stick with conquest there's really no reason why there shouldn't be at least 2 new ones a week.

That said, I have no interest in a made up stadium from a crappy movie.
It's a real stadium, that the White Sox and Yankees will be playing in on Thursday...

This is a new one lol

Not saying it's fun or easy or makes any sense, but there's a lot of confusion on how to finish POTM so here you go:
Stage 1
This is easy, although shockingly excess program points do not carryover. No matter what you do, you're starting stage 2 with 65 points. Do the moments, do the collection, and you're done. A lot of people think they are missing out on the Topps Now mission because it stops counting when the stage is over but you aren't, you just can't go past 65 stage points. There's 52 points in the missions and 40 for the collections. That's 92 and you still only progress with 65. Great game design here...
Stage 2
Now it gets grindy. Do all the moments and this will get you to 98 points and unlock all three 88 OVR packs. I suggest taking all 3 hitters here but you can take 2 batters and 1 pitcher. Just keep in mind that you're going to have to use JUST these 3 players plus 1 player from the 90 OVR pack to get either 2500 hitter pxp or 3000 pitcher pxp. Put these 3 players in a lineup where everyone else is a Topps Now (POTM players at the top of the order) and work on their player pxp missions at the same time as the Topps Now pxp mission. Once you finish the Topps Now you'll be at 108 points and once you finish one of the 88 player pxp missions you'll get to 111, unlocking the first 90 OVR pack. Finishing the other two 88 player missions and the 90 player mission will get you to 121. You'll be stuck here for a while. Using the 4 potm players you've gotten you need to grind out 3000 pitcher pxp and 2500 hitter pxp. You need to to both eventually, but after finishing one of them you'll get to 136 which unlocks the second 90 OVR pack. Now you can do that player's individual pxp mission and use him to help with the hitter/pitcher pxp that you didn't finish yet. After doing all 5 player's individual pxp missions as well as both the hitter and pitcher pxp missions you'll be at 155. Now do the required collection to get to 170, this unlocks Dawson. Do Dawson's pxp mission to reach 175 and unlock Rizzo.
Stage 3
Pretty self explanatory from here. The missions are repeatable, just grind out pxp with Rizzo and all POTM guys until you unlock the last 4 packs. They're no sell but it's probably a good idea to finish the program and get all POTM players for future collections. Also, once you finish the program you may be able to complete the Stage 2 optional collection. You won't need the points as you'll be done the whole program but you'd still get 1500 stubs and a pack. I haven't finished yet so I'm not sure it lets you, but I assume you can.

Mini seasons is faster and fewer games.
Offline is for simps

I don't we're all going to agree, seems like your opponent's are having a good time...I wonder why the game boosts them and screws you...
-
TA2 was pretty perfect, it was harder and a few chase cards that could last a while but nothing absurd. But these cards are just too good to give away to everyone so easily. And I'm totally no money spent so it's not like I'm salty about having spent money for worse cards.
It's not like these cards are insane or anything, you could even make the case that only Degrom is clearly better than other options, but still with a couple parallels these are all 99s and what will be on every single team as a bare minimum. Just seems a little silly to give everyone a full team of 99s for nothing and we're only at the all star break.

They’ve already had 2 free ones in the Acuna program so I’d say we’ll get more

No other online mode has more stuff to do singleplayer. Not even close. So start a franchise or road to the show if that isn't enough try going outside a bit while it is still summer.

There's almost nothing to do single player. There's tons of free content for sure, but what is there to do single player? There's showdown, which is awful, and conquest. And that's it. Unless you count moments, but that's not really a game mode.
It just seems like it would be really easy to have some kind of single player season, tournament, or whatever. And at the very least far more conquest maps.
And save the going outside comments, I don't need your snarky nonsense. Does that make you feel good and superior?

I've been using Clemente (95 fielding, 72 speed) and he seems WAY faster than a 72 in the field. This actually made me remember something about fielding actually increasing speed, so I double checked the in game guide and I was correct.
It says that speed is a "factor" in running speed while fielding, and that fielding ability influences fielder run speed.
Just an FYI for anyone who didn't know...It makes a huge difference
-
I'll worry about it next year
-
But the Topps Now led into Player of the Month program and it was stuff to do. I want to collect more cards for larger collections, not have some bronze become gold for 2 days.
-
I'm pretty furious they are changing stamina for 3 inning modes. I play 99% offline and this made things so much better against the CPU in conquest and mini seasons with them going deep into pens. And for online players it affects both sides equally so who cares? Now mini seasons is gonna be 3 innings of 99 randy Johnson every other game.
Who's everyone's favorite hitters?
The All Star/Derby Series makes every card irrelevant
Rookie Joe Nathan is a SP
To the Rizzo haters...
We need a bonus xp pool
Are we really being forced to do pxp missions this hard?
Sorry but all the programs especially featured program is impossible to beat for casual players
