FYI about speed and fielding...
-
I've been using Clemente (95 fielding, 72 speed) and he seems WAY faster than a 72 in the field. This actually made me remember something about fielding actually increasing speed, so I double checked the in game guide and I was correct.
It says that speed is a "factor" in running speed while fielding, and that fielding ability influences fielder run speed.
Just an FYI for anyone who didn't know...It makes a huge difference

That’s all fine and dandy, but it doesn’t make any sense for the same player to run faster in the field than he does down the line. It’s illogical
I agree with your premise, same as fielding doesn’t matter as much if you have speed (see Trea Turner). Just seems weird to me the game acts this way

I'd be using Turner in center before I got Mookie and Clemente and they both seem faster than Trea was. It's hard to say for sure, but it's VERY clear that Clemente is much faster than 72 out there

All Ik is the panda seems extremely bad at 3rd for me. Has diamond feeling with 40 something speed and he has no range down there at third and has already made more errors for me than anyone I’ve had there previously. Ik pandas aren’t the fastest but come on man

Acceleration and reaction make players seem faster. A quicker jump to the ball. Byron Buxton for the win.

So is this why the CPU fielders get a magic speed boost to tag me out in a rundown? Specifically, I mean first basemen. Who are usually slow.
