Is Betts at 2B better than 99 Biggio??
Umm yes, it’s not even close, and I like Biggio, I have him on my bench.

No. Plus with Ruth, Musial, and Ortiz, why would you want to? LF for Soto
I'm not good enough/ patient enough for Ruth. I could not hit with Stan. Ortiz was a stud but at one point he was going for 200k so I sold him. Big Frank has been getting it done but he is just so slow. Who would you bench in the OF? Griffey? Trout? Mantle is my only guy who is staying put.
If you 100% insist on Mantle staying put take out Griffey and sell him. All three of Soto, Griffey, and Trout are better than Mantle though IMO. Mantle is still a top 5 outfield option, but he is certainly overhyped just for being the collection reward
I don't know about overhyped. Mantle is a switch hitter, with speed and can play defense. Not many can match those three things and thats not even considering his great hitting stats. I hate the Yankees but Mantle pretty darn good. I'm just worried Soto cant play defense in the OF.
Soto is a bench bat, nothing more. Trout, Mantle, Griffey, and Mays are the only real acceptable starters in the OF right now if you want to run the best possible squad (defense included). Just be happy with the 1 AB a game. I've got him and Williams on the pine.
@pfcorporate said in Foxx or Awards Rodriguez:
Foxx is significantly better at the plate. I’ve had him catching since he came out and on perfect throws he seems to throw out almost everyone and I haven’t had a problem with him and passed balls but I purposely avoid throwing too many pitches in the dirt.
I can see a big difference in blocking between him and Biggio (my last catcher), especially on HOF and legend. My move is to start Foxx and then pinch run/ defensive replace with Biggio in the 7th or later. That way I still get 3 or 4 (maybe all) AB's with Foxx and some speed and better defense late in the game to avoid any late game blunders.

i recommend Ted Williams. He is just awesome
He's great, but he's coming off my bench rn. The defense just isn't there to justify starting him over Mantle, Trout, or Griffey imo. So I have him for one AB a game atleast.
Alright we are full for now, thanks guys.
Hey guys we are in need of a replacement in our 16 team league. The playoffs are scheduled to start this Saturday and the previous owner couldn't complete the 6 games left on the schedule in time. Each season we pick new teams and points totals are awarded to determine the overall leaders. We are only in our first season. Send me a PS message @ JJ15ASU if you would like the invite. It's preferred that the new owner be able to complete the 6 games by Saturday night, but we might be able to extend a day if necessary.
