Who's better at Catcher?
I have Pudge now, buy was thinking of buying Jansen for my BP and getting Foxx for the 75 Stars.
-
Foxx is a beast offensively but is unplayable at catcher. Might as well stick Big Papi back there. But I hate Ivan's swing so go with Foxx

Foxx is better at hitting by a mile.
Pudge is better at defending by a mile.Depends what you value more. Foxx is my starting catcher but i have prestige Posey on my bench as a late inning replacement in close games just in case.

I am such a terrible hitter that I have to win games with pitching and defense.
Pudge is guaranteed to bring A+defense while Foxx isn't...

Balanced CAP.

Foxx is significantly better at the plate. I’ve had him catching since he came out and on perfect throws he seems to throw out almost everyone and I haven’t had a problem with him and passed balls but I purposely avoid throwing too many pitches in the dirt.

I can see a big difference in blocking between him and Biggio (my last catcher), especially on HOF and legend. My move is to start Foxx and then pinch run/ defensive replace with Biggio in the 7th or later. That way I still get 3 or 4 (maybe all) AB's with Foxx and some speed and better defense late in the game to avoid any late game blunders.

Unless you're constantly burying balls in the dirt, which if you're over 700 RS won't work anyway, Foxx is quite serviceable behind the plate. I was one of the early guys saying I couldn't see running Foxx at catcher, but I have him there, and most times I forget to pull him for Posey who I have on the bench for a back up because he does nothing to hurt me there.
Once in a great while I'll have an errant throw to 1st, but I have way fewer past balls than I expected, but I have adjusted the way I pitch some to account for his lack of range.
