My Show career is on hold until The Show 21 drops or possibly Show 22 if there is a covid delay. Had fun playing & debating/arguing with everyone. I know I came off as a [censored] sometimes but I truly did enjoy you guys. Take care guys & peace out

Ok well Im sorry I said that then. Thanks for relaying your story for others. I still think there is more to your story than you say though b/c I dont think you would be banned for 30 days if that was your first time just for saying what you stated you did.

I don’t think you read the entire thread then. As I have already stated - I have been suspended before this for the same type of thing - arguing with people in messages & using foul language when doing it. The previous suspensions were not 30 days, This is a multiple offense punishment.

I guess I see that perspective. Idk about you but I've been gaming online on PSN servers since they began 15 years ago. That spans FPS/Sports any multiplayer game, it really isn't that hard to just decide to not put yourself in a position to get banned, lol. To think you don't trust yourself to not say something to get yourself banned says to me you're either immature, an instigator; or both. That's honestly how it comes off.

I’m Irish...I have a REAL hard time not raging when someone comes at me. Just how I’m wired. Wish I wasn’t but it’s just how it is.

First time I hear of them banning off of voice chat, pretty wild. Didn't know that could happen. Sounds like you're self-aware here so I won't dog-pile on what you should've/shouldn't have done. I can understand why you would think it’s silly to switch systems. My concern is this - After my suspension is up I will be on my last chance. If I were to get in trouble one more time I’ll be banned. I know people keep saying just turn off your parties & don’t talk to anybody. While I could do that for games like Madden & The Show, I couldn’t do that for COD & Battlefront where you need to be able to communicate with your team. If I was to irritate someone or accidentally say something I just don’t know if it’s worth the risk especially when I’ll be investing in a PS5 once they’re readily available. In talking with some XBox players they have told me that 1) XBox doesn’t monitor parties & 2) If you get in trouble sending messages then XBox just suspends your ability to send & receive messages for awhile - You can still play the games. I’ve always been a Playstation guy but this does have me considering switching.

I did post it there also. And yes, It was a game of Madden. I’m just posting everywhere to let people know what happened & to be aware so it doesn’t happen to them as well.

Although I sympathize with the fact that you got baited and I feel bad for you that you got banned, Sony doesn't ban first time offenders. They always give multiple warnings unless you took it to the absolute extreme which I doubt you did. Either way it sucks.

I was suspended awhile back for 7 days for messaging back & forth for the same thing - Salty language. So this 30 day suspension was the next punishment. I’m guessing next time would be the 3rd strike you’re out ban. Oh well, It’s on me for not being more disciplined.

If I were you, I'd turn off the ability for people to message you and protect yourself from being baited into something where you'll end up on the losing end.

If I stick with playstation I definitely will.

Evidently playstation records all party chats now & someone can just report you from the party - Playstation can then listen to the whole conversation. I guess this was in the message 2.0 update. Beyond what happened just now with this incident - I don’t like that. I don’t like having a 3rd party monitoring all chats at all times. Which it does say in the T&C that they have the right to do. Microsoft doesn’t do that. That along with being 1 strike away from being banned definitely has me considering my options.

Why join the party chat? Its not like you guys were going to exchange recipies for apple pie. The honus was on you. Dont blame the results of your bad decisions on someone or something else. Yes we are all free to make our own choices, in the same way we are all free to live with the consequences of those choices.

Because it was a heated & competitive game & in the moment I was ready to drop the gloves so to speak. That’s sports man, At least to me. Tge competitive juices get flowing. But you’re right, It’s on me for going there. I just think it’s silly that if someone invites you to a chat & proceeds to talk trash & then you serve it back that you should be suspended. It’s a sports game. No threats were made or anything like that - just alot of swear words. But it is what it is.

I was beating a guy in a h2h seasons game in Madden last night. He then invited me to a party & started talking trash, I gave it right back to him. 5 minutes later I got booted from PSN & got an email from Playstation saying I was suspended for 30 days for violating TOS in voice chat...Be careful what you say in parties anymore boys, Evidently there’s some way to report people for that too now. I didn’t even say anything threatening, Just the usual “Hold that L you f’ing B, ect”. Think it’s time I switch to Xbox before Show 21 comes out, My brother in law says party monitoring & reporting is just a Sony thing.

He was a fun card. Singles machine. Excellent bunter & Can swipe a ton of bags.

I don’t know how people play this game or any game for that matter everyday all the time. I don’t think it’s healthy. I myself have 4 games that I play equally & I think that helps prevent me from getting enraged like alot of people I see post on here. If you have a frustrating game just go play something else, I promise you this will help.

He would be a right handed Tony Gwynn but with a 99 arm. By no means a useless card but if 21 plays like 20 then I agree - Probably not an end game starter.

You do understand how RNG works right? The R stands for random.

Kind of funny seeing this old thread pop up. I actually still have Britton in my bullpen & like him very much.

I don’t do anything. I let them burn through their pause time.

The only time I occasionally accept one is if it’s one of those 0-0 games in the 13th inning, But that’s about it & those are rare.
