Except you can get all the stat missions done before you even have the card....which is exactly what OP meant. As soon as you hit 300 stars and collect him, you’ll already have him prestiged.

I won’t post their PSN. But their team name is “xbh with postseason players I quit please” and they bat Joc and Muncy 1 and 2 with no other postseason players.

I’m just trying to prestige Kershaw and quit after 2 innings usually anyways. This guy squared up to bunt before I can even decide if I’ll help him or not. Whatever I let him bunt his xbh’s. He tries to score the lead runner so I throw him out. When he doesn’t quit I’m now determined to win and realize I have to strand the runner with one out. Doesn’t work. He hits a bomb first pitch and replays it. I eventually fought back and hit a walk off for the win. I’m not very good so to come back in a 3 inning game on hall of fame was by far my most satisfying win of the year.

Keep an eye out for that guy.

I know this community sometimes gets a bad rap, with all the hate messages being posted. And I know people are split on helping others with the prestige grind (boosting). But right now my messages are filled with nice messages and pleasant exchanges.

I go into event games with every intention of playing it out. I don’t send messages for help but if someone messages me I usually help because we’re working towards the same thing.

I’ve had games where I’m being waxed and with no communication at all my opponent will start grooving me pitches to Didi and Belli later in the game. So I’ve started to return that favor if I’m winning by a lot. All the messages I’ve received after have been super grateful or offering to help more.

I know there’s bad apples too but they’re way fewer in between at least for me. So I guess this is my thank you to everyone who I’ve played that I may not have been able to exchange messages with.

So you’re assuming he actually believed you could unlock the prestige card to be used without owning the original card? And then hit 300 stars and take Ortiz or Walker? I highly doubt that.

I have no idea, you'd have to ask him. I just responded to what he said. Lots of people on the forums are new, and may not understand the process to prestige someone.

So about halfway through the prestige stats with Belli I finally caved and tried the hr and quit name method. I know, I know...I was disappointed in myself too. But I want to finish it before the lefty event and I’m not that good. However not many people even oblige and that’s fair, I just play the rest of the game out.

Just now someone struck my Belli out first batter of the game. He must’ve thought I’d quit but okay game on. I pitch to his Belli...hit, but I strand him. Next time up he IBB walks my Belli. 2 run homer with Cargo and now I got a 2-0 lead. Next time up...IBB walk again. Smh.

With one on and one out in the bottom of the 3rd up comes his Belli. The IBB crossed my mind but then I’d probably give up a walkoff to Reggie...or whoever was next I don’t remember. I bring in the 1 lefty on my team to match toxicity. He tries to hit and run and strikes out..I threw behind the runner and as he turns around...tag! Game! Best believed I sent a “turned a free win into a fat L” message after.

Man that felt good!

So I’ve always been an offline player. Mostly RTTS, however last year I started grinding the programs offline (really just to sell the bosses to buy better equipment for my RTTS player). Eventually I found collecting the cards I like and building my team actually really fun. But there’s only so many conquests you can conquer.

Now this year I’ve found myself logging in and not even wanting to load up RTTS. With all conquests conquered, and a decent enough team, I decided to play my first couple RS games tonight. I went 1-1 and now I have a couple questions that hopefully y’all can help me out with.

1. My loss was a “forfeit”. Tied 3-3 and coming up to bat in the bottom of the 8th, my opponent went in to the quick menu. I paused to pinch hit for my pitcher. The screen froze outside the pause menu. After a few minutes I got the message I forfeited. Does this happen a lot? Or was it a one off I was lucky enough to see on the first night?

2. I’m a total noob....how do I bring up the quick menu? Haha

Anyways I had a lot of fun. If my opponent sees this, you deserved the win. My team was far more stacked and you did more with less.

Yeah he’s a whole lot...but I only spend my stubs on players I like or grew up watching. I don’t really use legends before the late 90s. I’m not very good so having the best team isn’t that big a deal to me. It’s more fun for me to lose using players I like haha.

No not at all. Like I said I go into games with full intent on just playing and don’t send messages myself, only respond. There’s nothing wrong with just wanting to play the game. When I said bad apples I meant the stories you hear about people tricking others into wins or the angry screenshotted messages you see on here. I in no way meant if you don’t do what I do you’re a bad apple. I get there’s some people who just want to play the event and it probably gets annoying getting messages every game or seeing the “Belli hr and I quit” team names.

I’ve seen several complaints across multiple posts about RTTS players being traded. All the way at the bottom of the sliders page is a “trade frequency” slider. Turn it all the way down and you will no longer have to deal with your RTTS player being traded off the team you pick.

A’s stronghold has another prospect pack. Set 3 I believe.

I thought that might be what happened. The pause menu never actually pulled up when I pressed it, the game just seemed to freeze. So I didn’t even see the timer go down. Thought it might’ve been one of those “freeze offs” I’ve read about.

Anyways I appreciate all the answers!! I’m looking forward to jumping back into it this weekend.

Card looks awesome. Hitting stats make it hard to justify the BR reward price. I’ll probably still cave. This really should have been a ducks on the pond rare round card tho.

I played a low scoring RS game, where late in the game my opponent got hot and put up like 8 in a half inning. I decided to quit but wanted to step off the mound and show a sign of respect first. I’m an idiot though and didn’t know the button. After I spammed the dpad buttons and triggers I realized what you saw was “opponent entered quick menu” over and over again. The game eventually threw a pitch for me, you hit a bomb and then replayed it. Probably because my quick menu stunt. I humbly accept the HR replay for my actions.

Your messages were turned off so if you see this...that’s my bad. I was trying to show respect and accidental came across as a sore loser.

Is a Dodger card....he should be #9 not #24 smh
