Buying or not buying a game based on a fan animation might be one of the more ridiculous things I’ve heard.
PS. The game is fun. Worth the buy.

If you haven’t checked out the Negro Leagues game mode, you’re missing out. It’s more than the static “Moments” that were added a few years ago. The story telling by Bob Kendrick is a baseball lovers dream. It’s low key, the best addition to this year’s game. I hope they expand on it and tell more stories of those who built the game.
I never got hemmed up playing a video game... So he we are with 13 p5s and Finley at 9k...
Playing the Show is 100% better than repeating past mistakes. Keep up the good work, my guy. Don’t mind the negative comments some will bring your way.
Welp, I’m definitely a hypocrite. I always tell people to spend stubs on the market and not on packs... but the stubs are on sale and I took some pain pills and decided that I wanted to see the diamond pull intro.
Two gold cards and 9 thousand bronzes. Ugh, I’m an idiot.
Seriously folks, earn packs in the game and use stubs on the player you want on the market. If you need me, I’ll be on the market for the next hour selling off all this [censored].
If the third-party investigation caused the MLB to cut all ties, The Show will probably follow suit soon. Selfishly, I hope they replace the card, since he’s my starting 2nd baseman.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen such a difference between zone and directional hitting. In years past, I would switch between the two with conquest maps. I started this year with directional (I know, but I have kids and it’s easier for when I’m laying around with them), but there is no pop at all with directional. Meat ball? Lazy fly ball. Guess the pitch? Hard ground out. I think I only hit two homeruns in 10 conquest games.
What I’m getting at… Directional appears to be nerfed hard with this year’s version. Stick with zone hitting, even if you’re a casual.
That’s how stats work in real life. If you don’t get enough at bats, you won’t show up on the BA and slugging leaderboards. You have to average at least 3.1 ABs per team game played. If you only bat in 3 out of 5 games, you’ll be under the threshold.
For a while, my guy also led the league in hits but didn’t show up on most hitting categories.
Prospect CJ Abrams. High speed and contact. Can turn a single into a runner on third in a few pitches. I’m batting .400+ with him.
Diamond prices will fluctuate. If you wait, you may break even....
But you can make up a 3k loss with some Moments and Conquests.
Means there’ll be a PSN sale in the next week or two… at this point though, I think most full time players have made enough stubs to avoid the need to purchase
If you have a disposable income, why not buy something you’ll enjoy. I haven’t spent any money, but I think it’s ridiculous to trash those that do spend money.
Last Show that collected all LS, I spent $50 to buy Trout. Felt good to collect them all, even if I spent some $$$.

Imagine being so upset over a video game that you pay $100 for a deluxe edition that your gonna play hundreds of hours on that constantly updates and releases new content for free and is known as the best ultimate team because of how you can spend 0 extra dollars on it and still get the best cards in the game. I love hearing everyone cry about spending 80-100 bucks on a game where in reality it works out to where they are gonna pay less than a $1 per hour of entertainment, please tell me where else you get that value in? I’m fine with issues with the server because I know they’ll fix it, because they always do. People who spent extra money on stubs and lost them will get their stubs back and more than likely sds will give out free stubs and packs to make up for it. I know it’s frustrating but a class action lawsuit is just petty cry babying
I was going to say something similar about how ridiculous this post was. This person did all the heavy lifting. Agree 100%

but they did attribute changes 2 weeks in a row, granted second was a small one but...
Some players got an overall attribute change last week because they moved positions. Their baseline attributes didn’t change, but because of the new position, their base skills cause the overall to change. For example, a SP going to RP may see a dip in overall rating because H9 are valued more for a RP than SP.
I’m more ok with creating a 99 future card with someone who has that potential than trying to say Jason Bay was ever a 95.
With that said, it looks like Wander will be my future 6 spot.
I got two kids and a full time career. It’s nice to be able to finish innings. I need all the help I can get to do it.

The only reason things like this (double xp) are done is because enough of a percentage of players have stopped playing (for whatever reasons i.e. dissatisfaction, moved on to another game, etc.). You may benefit from it, but it has nothing to do with helping you. They've lost players and they're giving them an incentive to come back. They'd like to get them hooked for another cash grab surge on the next Inning and to help solidify interest for the playoffs.
I would rethink "thanking" the people who are trying to con you. Best you could do is tip your hat to them for how well they manipulate people, if you're in to that sadistic sort of thing.
If you’re so wise in what they are doing, why are you a part of their scheme and on this forum?
The fact is, you can play this game fully without microtransactions. You don’t need to be “conned” into their cash grab. Many, like the OP and myself, enjoy this game and like the double xP. Nothing wrong with thanking them for making the rewards, only obtainable through gameplay, easier to obtain. They have employees in the forum. Positive feedback usually incentivizes a company to repeat things.
This is easily the most polished start for the game. Still a few bugs to work out, but I think there was a 5 year span of servers not working the first week.
It seems like I lose way more in-game challenges than I should...
“Get a hit with contact swing” - I used contact swing but squared it up and hit a dinger. FAILED
“Advance the runner” - I hit it into the gap and everyone scores. FAILED
These were the last two I can remember, but I often leave challenges with a fail that shouldn’t be there.
Venting over.

Did you play against the CPU in diamond dynasty (extra innings) or play now at the games main menu? Not sure but I think you have to play against the CPU with your DD team.
I did it as Play vs CPU in DD
Unpopular Opinion:
I miss the team souvenirs from The Show 18. I was able to grind through trading and exchanging them, and walked away with enough stubs to buy every LS player within a month.
