Thank you SDS....

Thank you for the double xp week and additional conquest map. For those that work and need the double xp to finish the program, I hope you do this toward the end of every inning cycle. I know some finished the program faster than it will take to read this post, but I appreciate the double xp for those that take a bit longer.

I got two kids and a full time career. It’s nice to be able to finish innings. I need all the help I can get to do it.

The only reason things like this (double xp) are done is because enough of a percentage of players have stopped playing (for whatever reasons i.e. dissatisfaction, moved on to another game, etc.). You may benefit from it, but it has nothing to do with helping you. They've lost players and they're giving them an incentive to come back. They'd like to get them hooked for another cash grab surge on the next Inning and to help solidify interest for the playoffs.
I would rethink "thanking" the people who are trying to con you. Best you could do is tip your hat to them for how well they manipulate people, if you're in to that sadistic sort of thing.

If you’re so wise in what they are doing, why are you a part of their scheme and on this forum?
The fact is, you can play this game fully without microtransactions. You don’t need to be “conned” into their cash grab. Many, like the OP and myself, enjoy this game and like the double xP. Nothing wrong with thanking them for making the rewards, only obtainable through gameplay, easier to obtain. They have employees in the forum. Positive feedback usually incentivizes a company to repeat things.

There is always one who can't say anything positive. It's a great game, it has it's issues but overall it keeps us all playing. The fact that you do not have to ever put a penny into it and still be very competitive to me shows it's not a cash grab by the company. I appreciate the hard work and effort it goes into making these games and they do it with a relatively small staff compared to other companies.

Kind of, but not really. My hypothesis is they've got some internal metrics as to how many people SHOULD be hitting 350/650 each inning and their numbers for the current inning wasn't on track to meet their intended projection. Hence, the 2X XP.

You guys can rationalize it all you want to make yourselves feel better, but this game is about making money not about helping you hit. The CEO doesn't care about hitting metrics. He probably doesn't know what that is. He cares about revenue and stock holders. He tells Ramone "Our player base is dwindling, offer them some free [censored] to lure them back and get them spending money on micro transactions again". Ramone comes to us and says "Hey guys, we're excited to announce a double XP Week (or whatever the promo is) woohoo! You can finish out the 3rd inning in time for the 4th, woohoo!"
Listen, it isn't about being negative. It's the truth. LMAO, it looks so ridiculous watching people thank them for a few scraps. But hey ignorance is bliss, so I won't blame you there.
And I never said the game wasn't fun to play. It might be the best it's been for offline gameplay. I'm having fun in my Franchise and not lying to myself about what a con these games have become. I guess I could thank them for keeping Franchise in the game even though it has AI team management problems, schedule problems, you can't use created stadiums at night, Full Minors was a complete lie, etc.????
