WAR is a terrible stat, it's an estimation with a bunch of assumptions and makes for horrible baseball conversation. It's not meant to be used the way most use it either.

Could it use a couple tweaks? Yeah. But its so much better than 18, 19. I dont get these fielding issues some of you get, so If pitching gets touched a little bit id say this game is in the best state its been in awhile.

I mean whats even good about it? This is by far the worst hitting has ever been, pitching is still awful. Fielding I guess has been better for me? Bad bad look from SDS. There is no point in trusting what they say anymore. They promised something good this year, then took it all away within a week lol. Depressing really. I just want to play 9 innings online and have fun and its not possible right now. These games are playing SO bad right now.

Can it be better? Yes. But its better than 18 and 19 by a long shot for me. The pitch speeds are a lot faster and its made all you borderline WS guys drop down to the 700s. So rather than getting better, you cry about the game. Its not the games fault you have good PCI placement 4 times a game. When one of those four times happens and you lineout at someone you come here and cry. Just understand you just are not very good. This is the first year in awhile where the better player actually wins 99% of the time. Get better. Stop crying.

No you don't. This has nothing to do with skill. This is AI generating animation that determines the outcome.

There ain't no secret you have to pitching or fielding that would prevent this. Don't even try..it might work for the gullible, but not for me...and most out here actually.

And, I won't get into a pizzing match with you. Just don't try to use the stupidity on people that know better. Makes you look dim.

Online play is turning this game into a steaming pile of garbage, this year's game is way too easy and its because online people want to have team averages in the .600s and football scores....that's video game baseball. And for the noobs that's gonna say "but its a video game gooble gooble gooble" yes, we know noobs, but some of us want to play Baseball in a video game that leans towards a Simulation...sorta like Microsoft Flight Sims or Racing Sims. Baseball already has an arcady one, its called RBI Baseball, it gets released every year. So my suggestion is to make two games, one to satisfy Online people and one for Simulation/Franchise people, fine maybe it doesn't have to be two games just release like a DLC for Sim players..I don't care paying an extra 50 bucks for it but please stop dumbing this game down.

Exactly ... Let the casuals have there online stub fest and battle with there super teams .... I want a simulation baseball experience...

So? There is still options for sim baseball. Thats franchise. The fact that you call DD players casuals when the best dang players in the world play it is pretty mind numbing. Id argue guys who want to play vs the CPU are the casuals.

Can you make a case that Boggs is better or do we only look at WAR.

You're making strawman arguments when it comes to WAR. I don't know anyone who seriously argues WAR in this way. Those two examples are basically the same WAR total. There's a negligible difference between the two players.

My argument and points is WAR is not the only thing you measure or compare players to debate who is better.

Im currently being a record [censored] at 23-2. Not playing many games as well as Taking my time with RS because the game is in a bad spot and I dont spend money so I have to grind. A few games from WS last night so I tell myself Im going to play til I get there. Start up a game with a guy who is 50-30ish. Not great, not horrible, and hes flailing at oswalt early. Cant time up the sinker, cant hit the curve. He also starts kluber with about half his energy and bunts against the shift. Hes that guy. I get a couple runs across to make it 2-0 early. The next few sequences almost made me delete the game. Hes got a runner on third, 2 outs, i dot a sinker up and in on Ryne. He somehow makes contact on very late and bloops it over first. 2-1. Next inning grandy tries to make a running play in left with the shift on devers. Stumbles like an idiot misses the ball and devers gets to third with no out. I will admit it was sort of my fault trying to make the long running catch. But my god. He hits a single next AB, i hang a slider and he deposits it into the seats. Down 4-2 just like that. The next inning i hit two just early squared up foul ball dongs, and a perfect perfect right at someone. Then I ground into a good good DP. Im fuming. Raging. Go to the top of the 8th and i get some luck back. Load the bases after an error and infield hit and hit a grand slam with grandy to go up 6-4. Tack on another to make it 7-4. Then get toxic and close with kluber because he started a tired kluber. Point is I should of won probably 10-2. But the game quite literally let him stick around and almost beat me if I dont lock in the last two innings. I check the PCI feedback after and he had four balls in play over a “12”. I had 14.

I didnt really get the good/okay nonsense for a few days. Vida blue silver vs grandy with 100 plus pop vs lefties. Fastball down the middle, Ball is dead inside the PCI, bat even made a [censored] near perfect perfect bat crack. 93 exit velo, 98 MPH fastball. I made sure that one got recorded. It was insane. It was almost like the game half knew it was a good swing due to the bat sound, then it just died.

We should base our judgement of batters solely off HRs and pitchers solely off Ks.

Idk what you are getting at really. Im just not sure how its terrible when front offices use it and the best players in the game have the highest WAR year in and year out.

I don't recall saying it happened online, and I don't recall OP mentioning anything about online play either. OP was just making another "hitting is broke" post, which is true online and offline.

Ok? That just makes me think that all you people who cry about hitting are complaining about showdown feedback. Showdowns sliders are probably all janked to make it harder. You have never once had a perfect/perfect online with that exit velo. So why even say anything? And do you know what broke is? The only thing “broke” right now is the okay contact on one swing, then the same exact feedback giving you good on the same kind of contact. Thats it. Just because you cant catch up to pitch speeds on HOF/Legend does not mean anything is “broke”. Get better before you cry.
