Every series I have to turn off tutorial tips again and again because the game won’t keep them off. I’ve checked my setting at the main menu out of RTTS and sure enough, every series start, they’re on again.
Why do I have to keep turning them off? Anybody else dealing with this or know how to fix it permanently?

Bro that’s like really bad. I haven’t heard anybody else like that. I’m not even sure a patch would fix that if it’s your entire game

I’m only a few months into my AA season and I’ll tell you I’ve grown bored of this being the exact same mode as last year. Same podcast episodes that do nothing for me because they’re generalized and offer nothing to the gameplay. Same trainings maybe once a week that only do 2 attributes per session. Same perk/progression system as last year that takes an eternity to progress. Same in-game challenges that I’m not even reading. And same bugs plus a few new ones. Stop putting me in for a fielding “opportunity” at SS when it’s a base hit clearly past the infield. And why is it every time I go to check on my ballplayer progression, it refreshes his appearance to high socks and wearing every piece of equipment I own? I turned those equipment pieces off in the appearance page for a reason. I wouldn’t ever wear a compression sleeve under a 3/4 sleeve jersey lol and I’ve heard yall are having major issues with the game stopping you from starting year 2.
I remember that perk tree thing from a few years back and I’d rather have that back over this. It’s just so stale so quickly and monotonous. Bring back the training points system! And SDS WHY JUST WHY can’t we do the whole combine thing again to determine our starting stats, then progress to 99 in every attribute like we used to? If I wanna be the best five-tool SS or catcher or outfielder there ever was, let me! Get rid of this segmented archetype [censored] where I can only have two or three of the five tools.
And lastly, on behalf of all RTTS players ever,
BRING BACK YEAR TO YEAR SAVES. It’s not worth grinding hours and hours of seasons to have to call it quits next March just to start over.
If you read this far, I’m sorry -
@PushedSatsuma2_XBL
Just a guess here but in the past, overall had a correlation to which you were called up and given special perks. Could be that the reason equipment doesn’t apply is so that you’re not in the majors with what’s really a 70 OVR player swinging with what would be a 90 OVR players equipment. It wouldn’t make sense a 70 OVR player is beating a 85 OVR player in his position on the majors club -
Switch to timing and rely on attributes lol you’ll suck more believe me. There’s only one zone to be considered a “perfect” swing and it’s dependent upon location. Which sucks bc you can pull and push a ball and hit it 95+

I’ve never played ranked period lol

@tmichae10_PSN
I guess I don’t understand why zone is better than timing? The attributes of the players dictate what results you get at the dish. And it’s much easier to suck with zone so I think for newcomers it doesn’t make sense to throw them into the fire -
I’d say timing. I’ve been playing since The Show’s creation and zone has always been tricky because it gives you a whole new thing to worry about placing in the right spot every pitch. Since you’re new, you’re already gonna have a hard enough time timing pitches and recognizing balls vs strikes. No need to add more difficulty to that
-
I played the whole thing through the last few days and didn’t experience any of this.

@raesONE_PSN
Eh not really. When you guess pitch it gives the dot of exactly where the pitch goes if you guessed pitch and location correctly -
I feel ya dawg. But more importantly 34 games is too long for me to be devoted to that mode
-
Reading this thread I’m like “you guys are buying players?” lol I never pull any good cards out of packs so I just have to grind for anybody good through programs. I’m broke all the time

I know I’m in the minority on this issue but let me present it in a different light. This is only a video game, and as such there is so much less control over how the ball is hit versus reality. The main factor on the game is swing timing, i can’t tell you how frustrating it is that there is only 1 green zone to hit the baseball in game because in reality there are multiple. You can pull, push or go to center with a perfectly timed swing, and all of those regions have what we would call a perfect perfect contact spot. Regardless of pitch location, these three options are always present in reality versus the show doesn’t put these into play. So, when you get a perfect perfect on a 95+ fastball and it turns into a groundball, that’s really frustrating. Not that I’m saying all should be auto homers, but even some of the weakest bats in the majors hit 5-10 homers a year. I’ve been saying it for years that the swing timing mechanic needs to be revisited. Just because a pitch is on the outer third of the dish doesn’t mean a batter HAS to push the pitch to make the best contact, and the same goes for inside pitches, and down the middle pitches. Just because it’s inside, doesn’t mean you have to pull it to hit 95+ exit velo

As a Mariners fan since age 3, I can unfortunately say I’m not on the hype train for Julio because he is not ready for major league ball. He’s got the glove and the speed to field because he’s young. But he does not have the bat speed or pitch count IQ to hit against big league arms. I know we’re only a week into regular season, but he is hitting atrociously and strikes out so much. I was at the ballgame tonight and Verlander made a fool of him, twice. It’s embarrassing to have Julio replace Kyle while Kyle’s on the IL. And now that Haniger is on the IL too, we’ll see how the lineup suffers with Kelenic in RF. I should also mention I dislike Kelenic for the exact same reasons as Julio. They need way more AAA time to get up to speed

Big fan of RTTS, but I’m bored
Equipment should increase your overall rating
Hitting is way too easy this year
