Honestly the overall of a card does nit really matter. There are some gold cards that are better than Gore and Lauer. Don't let the blue diamond fool you into thinking these are great cards. To me the biggest issue with SDS is releasing those FOTF cards which are really great cards, it's going to be hard to replace some of those for the next month regardless of what new overalls they release.
I agree, but the realease of 85's this early leads to in increase in overall rank faster...we don't need 95+ diamonds that are close to end game that's based on a guy that stuck out 3 batters in an inning. Sorry, but we don't need a 97 Joey Wendle that's a better card than a 97 George Brett. Keep them low. Let them be useful for Early Team Builds, BR, Events. But we don't need High Diamond cards that are based off of a Single Game achievement.
I understand why people don't like high overall Topps Now cards but no one uses them anyway, even if they are extreme. The only Topps now card all of last year that I saw more than 5 games was Grandal. I saw Brett more times than Wendle too
That Grandal was a beast. Slow, but a great bat.
At least we aren't getting super juiced prospect cards like Edward Cabrera last year, (or was that '20?) this early.
