This is disappointing to hear that you've lost so much enjoyment from playing, and for the reasons why. It's extremely frustrating and disappointing to submit tickets to SDS, and they do nothing about them. I've had a similar experience. I can only imagine they are getting flooded with tickets and can't respond to them all. But still...make a game that doesn't have so many bugs, and you won't get complaints.

I think for me, the biggest ongoing disappointment has been losing the licenses to players like Ty Cobb, Rogers Hornsby, Ted Williams, some of the older classic all-time greats. In their place we're getting guys like Brian Roberts, Kevin Youkilis and Chase Utley. Yes, I know we have gotten Pedro and Randy and Clemente, and those aren't to be ignored. But I think on a macro level, the quality of legends has really gone down as a whole. I'm sorry, I just don't care about Grady Sizemore or Brian Wilson. Give me back Williams, Cobb, Hornsby. I want DiMaggio, Satchel Paige, Carlton Fisk, Yaz, not Vinny Castilla.

Never in my life did I think to myself "Man, I really wish Harold Baines was in this game," but...here we are.

Man, we agree 100%. I posted before the game launch that other than Randy, I would prefer to have Cobb, Hornsby, Williams, etc. back as opposed to the other guys they are replacing them with each year......I have to think they purposely let some of those licenses expire so they can promote them (as big names) a few years later as "new to the game". It gets hard to land super big names each year, especially if they won't consider the steroid era/cancel era type guys...

I would be really curious to understand how the licensing issue works with SDS and former players. I'd be surprised if they "let players go" just to bring them back in a few years to sell the game. Baseball is a 100-plus year-old sport with more great legends than you can possibly fit into the game, and legends that will drive sales. You can add at least 2 marquee names every year, without losing any of the major ones, and almost never run out ESPECIALLY now that the Negro Leagues are considered a major league. They literally have a whole new league of legends to procure.

I'm curious as well. I'm sure some players' name/likeness is expensive, and even though is a game, it's still a business with trade-offs. I also wonder if some players or their estates want their player to be more relevant in the game so they would be the best card, no debate, like Ted/JoeD folks saying give him more power or no agreement (cause we know you're gonna give Jeter diamond defense when you put him in the game so we know you can do it).

Oh, agree. Just seems like undermarket deals have become increasingly rare. And when people say it's not about the money, which is almost never true when those words are spoken; it's sorta refreshing to see the actions rather than the words. Players have every right to risk going for a max deal; but I'd have a hard time not locking in that money and enjoy playing the game.

So far I have over 200k in stubs missing, my mini season record shows 7-8 when it actually should show 14-1, I just played a Central Conquest game only to have it not register and it shows I have to beat that stronghold again.....Add in the gameplay issues that I won't go into as RAES has summarized nicely, and it is a mess....But I keep playing.

The Show is the only video game I tend to play due to my love of baseball.(I have a PS5 and have bought other games but they just sit there).

SDS has not handled my ticket (they said they fixed it, which was not done and no response to my numerous responses requesting they look at it again), no word on the other issues...

Honestly it is sad...Sad that this outlet for me has been made hollow, and sad that I keep giving them the benefit of the doubt.....But shame on me for continually playing

Yeah man, completely understand, and like you also mentioned about getting all cards in the game, I've started working towards that but, like you, have had some issues/missing items am starting to wonder if I should continue. As some here know, I took a long break from the game last year and am trying to be excited about being back and would prefer to keep playing, but time is ticking...

Was the hitter Vlad Sr? I mean, he could hit balls in any location for a hit. Didn't he once hit a bounced ball for a HR? If he had that hidden quirk in the game I could see this. Anyone else, I hope this is an isolated issue.

I got the exact same email for my missing Gerrit Cole and it wasnt there in my inventory either

Same here, received an email last night that all verified items should have been returned to my inventory. Was some cards and stubs in my case; but I received nothing. Seems to be a bit of a trend.

How many teams? Is it points or roto? Is there a innings minimum to hit? Hitting looks good, you may struggle with SP if you need say 1000 minimum innings pitched. Should've drafted Anne Hathaway.

Welp, can't play - I might as well go have a gsme...

Saw something similar yesterday - at 14-5 and playing a team 11-10; all hitters are super hot with a great approach at the plate up and down the lineup; and yet, sure enough, only 4 freaking hits and even got screwed with 2 errors and lost 6-1. Unbelievable that this could happen.

There is real irony here - the folks that say they care about custom leagues and then drop an Hbomb in it by dropping out and ghosting the league so the referenced above “Someone dropped from our league need someone to fill in” post needs to be made, is one reason perhaps the mode struggles so much to focus on improving it.

Is backward overflow that feeling when my dinner comes back up as I watch a perfect release change float effortlessly towards the middle box? If so, I think they've effectively synergized that feeling across the fanbase quite well. Either that or you mean to lay off the 10% that didn't check that code....

I honestly think it's being light on the button and not mashing it. I feel like I have a pretty good feel for this and can tell when I'll check swing, and can react mid-pitch - and even notice when I believe it should have been a check and my guy swung out of his shoes anyway. It feels realistic - to me, anyway.

What isn't always said here, is when I check swing and know I should have full swung because I was on it but didn't quite get the button hard enough, or when I hit that frustrating as hell swinging bunt for the double play.

I’m struggling to see exactly how today’s news makes these guys suddenly much more likely to be in DD. Obviously SDS either hasn’t been interested in getting their rights or hasn’t been able.

Can someone explain why they are suddenly more likely to be in DD now? Are they now added to some pool of former MLB players that SDS can collectively sign to obtain their rights? Or what?

The reason, I believe, was to recognize the stats as legitimate stats in MLB record books. A more important distinction than appearing in this game. (Though would be neat to see some appear here).
