No worries. But I will definitely miss the old POTM program. Kinda like I miss the old Innings programs rather than the XP Reward Path.

Yes, but the old POTM format was a lot better. You got it each month April-September, it took longer than all four “Season Awards” drops combined, and it was just a lot more fun.

I 100% agree. POTM was my favorite program every year. And you got to do it six different times per game. Now we get four “Season Awards” drops per month that take like 30 minutes each to complete. Not nearly as fun.

I’m guessing a 97 overall Mookie in a pack and a 95 overall Witt Jr. that you can earn through Season Awards collection.
I just played a team in Mini Seasons that had a 97 overall Lou Brock. After the game, I went to the St. Louis Flashbacks page, but he’s not on there. How is he on a team if the card isn’t in the game? Never seen that before.

Whenever the ball comes, push A (Xbox)/X (PS5). I’ve always used directional, and you literally just time the button press to when the ball comes across the plate.
But fair warning………there are times your timing will be “good” and you’ll still whiff.
The worst part is under their blog post discussing today’s drops it says “MLB The Show 24 bringing you more content than ever to live out your baseball dreams.” That’s laughable. This is the least amount of content I’ve ever seen them release this far into the cycle, and I’ve been playing DD since 17 or 18.

I have no issues with no 99’s at launch. I prefer it that way actually. What I have an issue with is now there are more Topps Now cards in a pack than there are in the “program.” Although it’s hard to call what they released today a program.
Yeah this is what I was afraid of when they said no more POTM and they were changing Topps Now. It’s like, “here’s possibly 20-30 minutes worth of content for some [censored] rated players. But oh, check out this fancy new pack with good players!!”
I’m fine with them selling packs. I just don’t buy them. But don’t make it to where the only way to get usable players is through packs or the market. Idc if they’re not sellable, let me earn them through content!!

The “try again” gets you 100 stubs, not 750

Season awards is basically POTM with a different name and a little different structure.
It's either this way or have POTM drop at the beginning of the season and have you guys cry when the cards would be 85-90 and the lightning card is a 92.
The way they described season awards doesn’t sound great at all. And I’m fine with the lightning card not being a 99 every month. A few years ago I believe the lightning card for the first POTM program was like a 95 or something similar. I don’t them to always be 99’s. I just enjoy the program.

Im fine with this. With 3 team affinity chapters coming out per season, we have more than enough of a grind without the tedious Topps Now grind to unlock POTM cards to grind for a lightning card
Oh they’re still doing Topps Now. Just no POTM. And TA is ok, but I’ve always preferred POTM to every other program they do.

Yep. Said it’s due to it not working well with the power creep or some similar BS.
At least I get the game on GamePass each year I guess. I couldn’t see paying $70 for the game based on the past two years.
So according to the content stream, there’s no more POTM Program, which is BS. That has always been my favorite program they do, and the “season awards” program that’s replacing it sounds like it won’t be nearly as good. Further down the hill goes The Show.

Or, how about this, since cards earned in the XP Path, that aren't tied to packs, aren't sellable; how about letting play how long we want and get rid of the XP cap altogether.
I like this solution the best!!
