You cant train if you're on the bench? If you're on the bench, its because you're bad. How are you supposed to get better without training?

Its been working okay for me. I'm a position player with one loadout so maybe that is why. Gear perks still seem to be broken. Progression was sped up a little bit and the archetype tasks actually tracks without weird workarounds. I havent played the game outside of RTTS so your mileage may vary.

CF for the Mariners. Moved up to AAA a few games after the All Star break. Was a stud in AA, struggling in AAA so I don't expect a phone call soon...
-
I think the RTTS mode would be fine if it wasn't so broken. They have a lot of bugs to fix.
-
I don't think the computer throws balls in rookie difficulty.

Yes, everyone is and its why we are all here instead of playing the game.
You can try this for progression, it worked for me but i am a position player with 1 load out so results may vary.

I had a hard time navigating DD so the video was helpful for me. Maybe people more familiar with the series wouldnt have that problem.

Yeah - I said no to starting. Was a 2B and then moved to SS. DD still shows as 2B and not expecting that to change
Cant you just change your position in the DD team management?

Bummer. Judging by the forum traffic (RTTS 3.6k Posts, DD 212.5k Posts) my guess is fixing these issues will be put on the back burning until all the DD issues are sorted.
This seems like a pretty botched launch. Not sure if this game will hold my attention for much longer, especially if it keeps forcing me to jump through so many hoops to play as intended.
I'd probably be looking for a refund if I had put down money for this game. Gamepass just saved my some money/a lot of hassle.

Here is what I've learned.
Make sure your archetype and perks "fits" your position. Each archetype lists what position its recommended for.
Do the progression bug fix (work around) in DD (i posted a video in this forum somewhere)
Delete all of your loadouts except for your default one and spend your stubs on equipment and perks.
GrindGood luck.

Not sure. Maybe the manager will ask you at some point? As an xbox gamer, this is my first time with The Show.
Try this, go into DD and set your player as a CF then play a game or at least one at bat. Then go back to RTTS to see if you have your equipment stats.

My player is a CF in RTTS but for some reason play 1B in Diamond Dynasty, not sure why but could this be the reason?
Maybe, I have also seen that the dual position is causing issues. I am a CF in DD and RTTS which is why i dont think ive had the problems most people have had. From what i can put together, the forced second position is because your architype isnt compatible with your chosen first position. This is why i changed my archetype to sparkplug as CF was listed as one of its typically positions. My guess is you are a power archetype which is why DD wants you to be on 1st base.

@hwalker1267_xbl said in Equipment Issues:
That is not the case for me, for example when I play with my ballplayer in Diamond Dynasty his contact is a 91 due to equipment boosts, and while playing with the same player and load out in RTTS his contact is a 73. I get the badge boosts but not equipment boosts.
From what I gather, this is because the load out system is broken. Equipment boosts might only work when you have one load out. I notice a majority of the problems tend to be players that are pitchers or have load outs with different archetypes.

Thank you! Not sure how I missed this in the tutorial.

I have made so many god [censored] base running errors because I have no idea what’s happening in the outfield or where the ball is. At least there is a 3rd base coach that will tell me when to head home sometimes. If you’re on first and the CPU hits the ball, I have no clue if I should hold up on second or head to third. Am I missing something? Is there a camera setting I should be using?
Don’t even get me started on the CPU’s insane pickoff move. Can a brother take a sip of water and enjoy his base hit for a second?

I followed the steps in this video and haven't had an issue since.

As an Xbox gamer, this is my first experience with The Show so I am not familiar with how this mode has worked in the past. I played my first 5 hours of the game without even going into the load out section so I had no idea I was even experiencing the bugs everyone is dealing with. Once I finally did discover architypes and perks, I quickly noticed they weren’t progressing and was able to successfully fix the issue using the DD work around many people here have posted. Since I have done the DD work around, I believe my player has progressed “as designed” by the developers (other than the equipment not seeming to add anything).
So here we are at the All Star Break of my first season. My player is a center fielder with a “sparkplug” architype and is leading the league in batting average. Overall I’m playing fairly well, but I have attributed this to me playing on Rookie difficulty.
Here is the question. My base stats (which all started at 30) have only increased by 1 to 3 points so far. Some stats are even still at 30! This is after playing close to 80 games and maybe 10 “training sessions”.
Does that seem right? Maybe my player isn’t leveling up fast because I am playing on an easier difficulty? It seems like the best way to level up your stats is with gear, but I can’t even tell if that is working. I dunno, maybe its meant to be a grind. I was excited to give this game a shot after all the hype it had been receiving. I am a bit letdown by all the bugs and grindy game mechanics. At least the game was free on Gamepass. I would be beyond pissed if I spent $100 on some legendary pre-order addition…

@acamp1900_psn said in Equipment doesn’t seem to be counting for RTTS:
How’d you get the archetypes leveled up? Mine won’t progress. I’ve been on the 3/25 hits or whatever to level up spark plug for like 20 games now and I have like 30 hits... it won’t track
This is a known bug, there are a couple youtube vidoes showing possible work around/fixes. I havent been able to verify if anything works yet.

Does XP actually get you anything in RTTS? Does it unlock gear or perks? Will enabling sliders stop your player progression completely?
Dear God please fix gameplay.
Just stopped by to get a lay of the land after I heard about the patch.
