Equipment Issues

I have some diamond equipment that gives my ballplayers contact and power attributes boosts, however I don't get these boosts when playing Road to the Show, they only work in Diamond Dynasty, Does anyone know how to make equipment work in RTTS?
-
What I have observed so far is that the equipment gains don't appear obvious in RTTS in terms of your OVR or whatnot. However, if you enter the "pause" menu while playing a game and look at your player card, you will see + numbers above your various attributes (contact, power, whatever) which indicate that your equipment is, in fact, giving you the bonus attributes it should.
Could SDS have done a better job making it obvious? Yeah, probably. But hey, at least it's working...

That is not the case for me, for example when I play with my ballplayer in Diamond Dynasty his contact is a 91 due to equipment boosts, and while playing with the same player and load out in RTTS his contact is a 73. I get the badge boosts but not equipment boosts.

From what I gather, this is because the load out system is broken. Equipment boosts might only work when you have one load out. I notice a majority of the problems tend to be players that are pitchers or have load outs with different archetypes.

My player is a CF in RTTS but for some reason play 1B in Diamond Dynasty, not sure why but could this be the reason?

Maybe, I have also seen that the dual position is causing issues. I am a CF in DD and RTTS which is why i dont think ive had the problems most people have had. From what i can put together, the forced second position is because your architype isnt compatible with your chosen first position. This is why i changed my archetype to sparkplug as CF was listed as one of its typically positions. My guess is you are a power archetype which is why DD wants you to be on 1st base.

Yes that is true, I have a power archetype, is there a way to change positions in RTTS?

Not sure. Maybe the manager will ask you at some point? As an xbox gamer, this is my first time with The Show.
Try this, go into DD and set your player as a CF then play a game or at least one at bat. Then go back to RTTS to see if you have your equipment stats.

That didn't work, I even tried starting a new RTTS career as a 1B and I still don't get to use my equipment boosts

I don't know, It forces me to 2nd Base in DD as a SparkPlug when I am a LF :shrug
I tried some messing around last night. Deleted all loadouts and started with one named "Default". Seems that SparkPlug is the only Architype I will get points/stubs from if I only use that one, more than not. Pitcher won't give me any at all, and if I have both loadouts, SparkPlug is hit or miss if I get any credit, Pitcher is always nothing. Also Equipment boosts don't seem to work, as I never get a Fielding boost (quick look to tell as that is only boost from equipment).

Bummer. Judging by the forum traffic (RTTS 3.6k Posts, DD 212.5k Posts) my guess is fixing these issues will be put on the back burning until all the DD issues are sorted.
This seems like a pretty botched launch. Not sure if this game will hold my attention for much longer, especially if it keeps forcing me to jump through so many hoops to play as intended.
I'd probably be looking for a refund if I had put down money for this game. Gamepass just saved my some money/a lot of hassle.

My issue is batting gloves,... I put them on both hands but whenever a game loads they default to only my front hand,... frustrating

Yea I didn't even mention that also. That is also an issue and it happens to other equipment too. If you have Bat Tape it always defaults to spiral and won't stay at crossed if you select it also. I am sure there are other pieces too
*I look at my pose, most times it has a batting glove only on one hand so I go in and "fix" it. with the other stuff -
In DD if you look at your player card it’s all added in and makes sense so when at base or bat you see your total added up stats from gear, archetype and perks. In RTTS it just gives a + for your gear on top of the attribute bar and doesn’t add into the bar so this messes up your OVR and in game when at bat and stuff it doesn’t show the full CON, PWR, VIS numbers so I still wonder if the gear is actually working. It’s confusing to say the least.
Also every time you enter you profile or restart the game your batting gloves and sleeves reset. It seems that the gear in the profile changes the custom equipment settings so if you set it and never open your my Ballplayer profile it stays until the next time you do.
