Happy Holidays everyone!
Last night my buy order for Prospect Joe Adell went through allowing me to complete offline DD. I have now completed every player program including extreme for Gehrig, Ruth, Postseason, Monthly etc. I have completed every conquest map, every moment (including cap, Tops Now, etc.) and every collection, including live series (and free agents), equipment , stadiums, every Trout collection and I am 100% on all Stage 4 Team Affinity and have collected every player who can be prestiged, including every inning boss. My only incomplete task in all of DD is the prestige collection which can’t be accomplished as an offline player, save for the 5 I have from the XP reward path. I’ll probably never have the time to do this again in the future. Anyone else complete everything in DD?

I think it’s funny how predominantly online players say that offline players don’t need prestige cards to use against the CPU because the 3 point increases don’t matter that much anyway.....Then they turn around and say they don’t want to play prestige cards that have been earned by grinding offline. Does it really matter that much online if it wouldn’t matter offline?

Salty offline only player here saying none, because I'm not allowed to Prestige any of my players offline.
-
Are you referring to the "always intense" Matt Chapman?
-
The only card that never leaves my bench is Mondesi Flashback POTM 85 OVR. That's because he can pinch run, steal a base and stay in 7 different positions and not hurt you if he has to hit again. I also keep Santana most of the time because he can play catcher first or third. I like versatility on my bench.
-
Because he is a douche
-
Of course. The card isn't worth anything to anyone other than those of us who want to complete the collection.

Play the Red Sox with your #5 to get their lefty Johnson. Pick a pitcher for you in the 5 slot that you dont care to take a loss by disconnecting.. Put Jackie at lead off and play on veteran. Take the 1st AB then quit and restart till you get er done. Took me about an hour.

I'm a big fan of Brandon Lowe in showdown, love his swing
I'm on the Lowe train too!

Same experience with Banks. Bought and sold him 3 times trying to make it work, but sometimes you have to let go. 200 ABs is plenty buddy, you gave him an honest shot!

Maybe now SDS can focus on getting us a real player's card like Mookie instead of deciding which Padre to bump in the rosters update this week. But I sure enjoyed watching your beloved Padres get upset at the Dodgers celebrating when they have been the one doing it all year. They may be on their way to the NLCS, but this year they will need tickets!

Yes, I am a completionist. My goal this year as a strictly offline player was to complete all collections (live series and Trout Collections), all player programs and all moments. I just spent $200k on Logan Gilbert and around $550 on Adley. I will never use the Prospect Adell because I have his Future Stars, but that prospect collection requires all 29 cards to complete.

I don't understand playing the game only offline... sounds like a personal confidence issue tbh... the fear of losing or failure, but it's an important fear to overcome, to realize winning and losing are both parts of life and both must be taken in stride. Playing only offline, you are never really challenging yourself. All of the offline modes can be exploited once you've figured out the AI, but you can only get a true game when you play against real human's in direct competition. Plus, there's no real psychological reward for playing offline... there's no feeling that you accomplished something awesome by beating an AI team or scenario that is designed to be beaten. Stop being a wuss and learn to lose so you can enjoy the wins.
Wow! It’s pretty interesting that you would take this approach with my post considering you don’t know me. So I will enlighten you. I am a retired Air Force Officer with 27 years of service. I am in my high school Hall of Fame for my military service and the fact that I earned 16 varsity letters in high school. I have a Masters Degree and have taught college for the past 12 years. I can assure you that a lack of confidence is something I have never been accused of. The reason I play offline is because I enjoy the solitude and I don’t get upset with people acting like...people act. I simply ask if anyone is like me in setting collection and completion goals in the game to accomplish what they want with the time they put in. I certainly don’t need online video game play to validate myself, and I’ve had plenty of real life competition for one lifetime.

The threshold for disrespect is 2-0 in my opinion. If a bunt hit gets the tying run to the plate, then I don't have a problem with the bunt, but a 3 or more run lead should not see a bunt attempt after the 7th inning,
-
His finest card last year was very underrated. He literally killed left handed pitching.

I dont think I made my point well. I'm not disappointed in Trout's current price and I'm happy to get the 200k. I'm just saying I played 630 hours to earn Trout at Prestige 45 and then they give him to me 20 seconds before I get him myself.
-
Yesterday I finally made it to Prestige 45 with the XP boost from completing the 30 new FOTF. I only needed Trout to complete the Live Series. I was either pulling him from the high diamond choice pack, or selling the best card from that pack and buying him to complete the LS with NMS. I had 6 Ballin Packs to open as well and low and behold I pull Trout in the last BIAH pack. Then,of course, I pulled him in the High Diamond choice pack. Dont misunderstand how lucky I feel to pull 2 Trouts in 2 minutes, because I've never pulled a card worth more than around 60K. However, it was a bit of a let down to grind my [censored] off, 100% offline, all summer and reach the moment I will get Trout and Mantle only to have one given to me seconds before. I am extremely grateful, but I didnt get that holy [censored], I pulled Trout moment I've always wanted.
-
If he is your favorite player and you like his live series gold, then I recommend buying him. He's a stud and you would enjoy playing with him!
-
My last diamond was a....National League.....Starting Pitcher....Live Series....in a....Washington Nationals uniform.....not named Max. I Straused out! Not as bad as getting Sprigered but still a huge let down.

I don’t know exactly who it is, but one of them is where the guy just lays the bat on he ground.
Derek Dietrich does this. Some others too. Fantastic animation.
Yaz is also laying the bat down on a no doubter
