If the ball is hit foul you always dive for it. No matter if it's a ground ball 1 foot from you or a fly ball 150 feet from you

I tell myself I do but then I'll play a few games of it and then want to slap someones grandma that's how frustrating it is. But then I don't play for a few hours and I get the itch again. Rinse and repeat.

What makes it lame is every game is the same. Who can keep their opponent from hitting the fewest homeruns. Because there is no other way people score besides HRs. LITERALLY. No other way. 90% of the games I play are like 1-0, 2-1, 2-0... The default sliders for the game are bad so you see a lot of things like outfielders being able to run from a mile away to get under a ball and catch it. Line drives off the bat arent realistic at all. It looks like when you hit a golf ball with a 9 iron.

But yeah my biggest gripe is the lack of diversity when it comes to plays on offense. All you see is. Strikeout. HR. Slowest hit ball ever for infield single. Pop-out to catcher that only went 7 feet in the air. Or line drive directly at an OF.

I cant tell you how many games I have been up 1 or 2 and have out hit my opponent by 3+ hits all to surrender a late inning 450+ bomb via contact swing. My dogs just stare at me across the room like I'm the animal.... I probably am.

I pitch to contact every game. I throw my waste pitches when I need to. I am well above average at pitching but once they start the contact swing it changes your entire approach to pitching. You have to tip toe around the edges. Man it's the worst feeling lol.... even more annoying with the little zit i am playing immediately messages me "scoreboard"

And before anyone says "hOw Do YoU kNoW tHeY aRe UsInG cOnTaCt SwInG?" bro just look at the pitch feedback.... the PCI isnt 3x the size just because they have 105 contact lick my sack.

Alright rant over time to go give up a contact swing homerun in the top of the 8th to Simon Birch.

Not being mean man but it sounds like you're just bad... Right now at least. I really get annoyed with people playing any sports game and always blaming the game. Show some accountability... The game doesn't make you have bad timing and no patience or an eye for what pitch is coming when batting.

Go into practice mode. Choose a good pitcher and have them throw only 4 seamers. Get your timing down. You have to really let the ball get up into you before swinging. It will probably look or feel late to you.

Here's how you need to view it.. You're the catcher. Like literally you physically outside the TV playing. If you view it like that then you'll know when to swing. Try it out. Be patient. There's a reason baseball is one of the hardest sports to play in real life.

What was the point of making this post? Did you really think people wouldn't call you a cheater after you're trying to flex over finishing 3rd inning in 27 minutes? So this entire thread is just you trying to make a case for yourself....

I dont know if the cards for these monthly reward events have their attributes based solely on the month but if it doesnt then Buxton is a joke. Dude is a career scrub. A career .240 hitter but in this game people mash everything with him. I am talking about ranked seasons only. I dont know how he performs in other modes. But no matter what I throw or where I throw it, this dude gets on base lol. A single is basically a triple. Then once he is on third, every pimple faced loser lays down a bunt. Even If i have him nailed at home, we get into a run down and i throw it to 3rd and my player is frozen in place all of a sudden. I can throw it but I cant move. This has happened like 5x to me now. Not just vs Buxton but other plays as well.

Slider away is it for me. I have gotten better at it but I am still impatient so I swing at a lot of pitches out of the zone. I love the moment every game where I am mad at myself and he's been throwing 75% of his pitches outside of the zone. So I put down my controller so I dont swing.... boom 4-seam belt high.

All I really care about is the pitcher. Not being able to see their pitcher is ridiculous and can dramatically screw up your game.

For example I have Harper, Griffey, Ohtani, Seager who are all lefties and I start them every game. But if my opponent is starting a LHP, then I wont start all 4 of those guys cause my bench is really deep and I want to be able to play matchups later on in the game if I have to.

But since I cant see my opponents SP, I am forced to either start my lefty batters against a LHP and be at a disadvantage. Or I can put myself in a better position and once the game starts i can substitute in my right handed batters but then I lose those left handed hitters the rest of the game.....

It's absolutely stupid and makes zero sense to not show the pitcher.

Dude the kids are just spoiled these days lol. Back when we were gaming, you had to put in months and months of time to complete it. Most of the games, if you died and out of lives you had to start over, no save points.

There was no tutorials or websites giving you tips and tricks as it wasn’t readily available to the general population. If there was a trick and tip, it was generally shared from word of mouth. Those were the days man!!

I used to go to Borders (the bookstore) and read strategy guides on games I was playing. I stole the Resident Evil 2 strategy guide and my mom found out and made me bring it back AND give it to a manager on duty and tell her what I did.
