Someone else said this so please take credit if it was you. But it’s completely accurate
SDS takes away the things we as a community enjoy before fixing the real issues with the game.

One example, HR derby used to give you a good XP amount. While some may say, it’s unfair cuz that person is getting a ton of XP. My response is. If you want to sit down and play HR derby for 5 hours. You should be rewarded with XP. Like home run derby isn’t that fun. It’s tedious. So if you’re gonna put in the work and do that for 5 hours or whatever it may be. You should be rewarded. And this is coming from someone who didn’t even use that method

Oh my goodness. If one more terrible fielder makes a gold glove play in showdown that’s gonna be it. I swear. Players with less than 70 fielding consistently make driving plays to get me out. It’s so annoying. Like SDS you made them bad at fielding for a reason

For the past year I have been bragging to anyone I talk to about video games that San Diego studios is the best developer out there. That EA sucks and honestly any game made by EA would be 100x better if SDS were to create it. I thought Mlb 19 the show was amazing and had real effort put into it. I’ve thought SDS was the best company out there and anytime someone said “what’s a good company and why” I would say SDS bc they aren’t money grabbers and actually listen to consume feedback. Well. Every good thing I thought about SDS has gone out the window. Absolutely terrible job making this game. Online sucks( read my other reviews. It’s just bad) and I just watched a clip. Where someone hit a walkoff homer in in MTO and the ball ricocheted off the bleachers and into the outfielders hand and was called out. Inexcusable.

After seeing a lot of people comment and post and playing the game a lot myself I’ve come to the conclusion that at this point in the game the hitting engine has to be mostly RNG(random number generator, which basically means everytime you hit the ball it is random whether it is good/good or good/okay, not based on user skill) and this really does seem to be the case. I’m not complaining so much as I’m just asking the devs to make the game more user control based. If I hit the ball completley in the pci with good timing give me a good good base hit. If I miss the pci. Give me a slow dribbler or slow fly out. Just make it user based and give us control of the outcome

So your telling me people who sit and play something so mind numbly boring that takes no skill should be awarded more XP than those that complete collections for as many teams as possible? Yeah ok. Sure it's a grind.. a extremely tedious one. It's still exploiting a glitch. The HR Derby wasn't designed to give that much XP. That's why they are patching it. I don't really blame SDS.. they would think people bought their game to play and try to get cards.. not play a mode for 10 hours out of a 24 hour day. Lol.. but sure .. big time grind.

I don’t blame SDS for that specifically. The thing that bothers me is that outfielders still can’t lock on the ball and the thing they decided to prioritize is the HR derby XP. Like fix the actual gameplay. Like you said. They should focus on people who play the game. So okay. If you wanna get rid of Hr derby xp. Do that. But actually fix the fielding in gameplay first. It wasn’t an issue for me the first half of the game but latley my fielders never lock on and it gets annoying. Or my center fielder will be running torwards a ball hit right up the middle and it’ll go right by him

Okay so this might make some people annoyed but I’ve been somewhat posting a lot on here lately and at times been rude to some of you. I want to take this post to genuinely apologize and say I’ll do better moving forward. Love Mlb the show and while it has as many flaws as the next game I’m grateful for the devs hard work nonetheless. And to the community. If I was rude I apologize

Doing the Paul konerko moments and yordan Alvarez robs me of a home run. 49 fielding yordan alazarez. Who has never robbed a home run in his life and is clearly an awful fielder. Like cmon now

It bothers me that I’m not allowed to delete my own post or comment. It says I do not have enough authority to do that action. But like what do you mean? It’s my comment. It’s my post. I should control what happens to it

Stop having terrible fielders rob home runs and make gold glove level plays in moments and showdown. It’s the most unrealistic thing ever

The answer is: you can’t. Bad job on SDS’ part to introduce two way players into the game this year but not make it an option to use them in online DD. I was bummed about this

It seems pretty clear that everyone in the community wants MTO to go back to double points. Any realistic chance this happens?

They should honestly give people refunds at this point. The game is terrible

I was 15-3 before patch 1.04. Now I’m 15-9. Yeah. I’ve literally lost six straight games and I don’t think that can be a coincidence. Just played a game and almost every fastball labeled me as late. But I really wasn’t late 80-90% of the time. This game needs a lot of fixing and atm it’s actually unplayable. SDS needs to fix the game. Cuz I know I’m not the only one saying all this either. The game is awful right now. Worst show game made. However. It has the potential to be better. Just fix it

Conquest isn't offline technically but I bet you Franchise games XP is tweaked they just didn't mention it because who the hell is playing Franchise that cares about XP.

At this point who’s playing franchise mode. They have no updates to it every single year. And it probably sounds like I’m just whining but I don’t intend to. I really enjoy DD and have OTTP for when I want a franchise experience. I’m just saying we can agree there is no effort put into franchise mode in the show

I feel like after dropping 30 of them with TA I’m kinda over it. Like don’t bring out more future stars in headliners and things like that. We get it. You have their rights. But we want to see flashback players of guys already good in the league. Maybe just my opinion

Why lie? That’s my main question. Why not just tell the truth and say “hey there’s gonna be news every Tuesday or February and the first Thursday as well” why say “every Tuesday and Thursday until the end of February there will be news” and then not follow through? I understand maybe things come up but this is two weeks in a row now that you didn’t follow through. Hopefully there is some sort of apology only because you lied about it. Again, not upset there isn’t news per say. Just upset we were told every Tuesday and Thursday and then that hasn’t been followed through on. You gotta be held accountable at some point

I really hope we never see a future stars card as a boss. Like please don’t do that. Aside from a way better rutschman, I’m over future stars at this point. I like the ones in game now. But if they push any more in. They’re just finding guys that prob won’t be as good as their card ever

I think it sucks that no matter how well I do in the showcase I’m drafted in the 15th round irregardless. Like when I’m playing a mode like road to the show I want to have the option of being that prodigy number one overall pick. I think it would make the game a lot more enjoyable

Would really like to see a better version of him than his 90 overall. I mean guys like bohm and madrigal, etc. got multiple cards. I think he should too.
