I thought I wouldnt even try it (I never have any other time they did it) but......decided to try conquest extreme, and it was pretty easy with only the first 6 games on either AS or Veteran if you get lucky. If you do the conquest extreme, and can do 4 of the moments (recommend Pujols 2's, 1HR, 8 HR with Griffey, Shohei is a unicorn and likely either the Wood 20 K's OR Delgado 10 TB for the 4th one. If you just do these, and get Wood to P4 and one set of 25K PXP, you get to Aroldis Chapman, and that is as far as I will go, as the rest of those moments stink and Showdown Extreme, absolutely no way I'm doing that! But most players should at least be able to get to the best LH Closer in the game, which is super cool.

Man, Degrom has had an insane month of August. 29 IP, 14H, 2 BB, 46 K's, 0.54 WHIP. With Madden releasing, and SDS maybe wanting to make a big splash to get players back to grind, Degrom would be a perfect 99 Lightning card.

If I start now, and get to the point of the Mini Season playoffs before Monday, does the mini season reset OR when the new rewards are released, will I just be able to play thru the remaining playoff games for the new rewards? (If the rewards are based on winning a mini seasons championship like before?)

If so, I am thinking I will play through a mini seasons regular season this weekend the prepare for this.

I ended up selling most of them at their top prices, but bought back a few recently close to quick sell. My two favorite hitters have been CG Garrett Mitchell and CF/IF Austin Martin. Mitchell is very underrated, has a great power swing and that speed and defense is second to no one. Martin has Trea Turner's swing type and mashes (and can play so man positions. If you need an incredible CF platoon, these two are amazing.

I actually like Peraza better than Foscue at 2b as well, Peraza gets Diamond Shield at parrelell 2 and his speed, along with his well balanced contact and power is fantastic.

Lastly, Kahlil Watson has an open stance similar to Adam Dunn, and just rakes.

Not a bad thought, or just get one first and sell if I don't like. I bought Kahlil Watson first. I just love his top level speed at SS and his crazy power in such a small frame (5'7). He'll be a heck of a leadoff hitter (and if he's not, i'll sell him and try Bryson)

Trying to decide between Bryson Stott and Kahlil Watson. What are your guys experiences with them. How do you like their swings? Very similar cards, but curious as to what your gameplay has been like with them before choosing.

Congrats to Devers and those who wanted him to win, although I am confused. I knew Goldschmidt was out since he was just given a 91 overall card. But Devers has a 90 overall card so I don't see a a lot of difference there. Why one would get lightning and the other would get passed over is a little baffling.

Devers had a great month of May though so at least it is not another Rizzo situation.

Raffy Devers had same WAR as goldy in June. He will most likely be the lighting card. If not him then Harper. Ain’t gonna be a pitcher unless it was someone like Verlander…..

My guess is that they begin a Stub Sale on XBOX June 2nd to try to prop the market up. With the release of ALL of the new FREE 95's, Most of these lower lever cards will become unusable, and there ONLY value will be for the BIG Collection.

There are currently "Nine" Cards currently on the market that are "(95 or higher).

With the massive influx of FREE new 95's and With the new market minimums, IF the Collection reward is not a massive card, my guess is that there will be a MASSIVE Selloff on friday, especially with the BIG Dog packs and headliner card cards (And likely 95's like Pujols, and Betts, who will be no better then cards you can now get for free). Sig Series and Awards may be immune to this, since there are so few of those.

Not to mention that if I were a betting man, that there will most likely be a Flash Sale Friday as well, which will drive down prices even more. For me, there is just no collection reward right now worth locking in probably close to a million stubs (Well, maybe a 99 Chipper or Griffey, but I don't think we'll see that level of card this early.....more likely a 99 Miggy), for "ONE" Card. No way. I'm selling high, and will wait until later to complete the Babe and whomever the collection reward is.......

POTM Betts. Having a great month with a couple more dingers today (NL Leader 12)... I think he has 2-3 OF assists this month also. Regardless, SDS should give Mookie his arm back!

This has always been my favorite sports game, but I'm done, and very quickly. I understand the frustrations others have, and I absolutely respect those of you who grind through the game despite the problems.

It's just not fun anymore, they removed all the content we love, they killed the market, and the programs, while enjoyable at times, are far too time consuming for working adults.

Thanks for the entertainment here, I appreciate all of you who contribute to the forums in an attempt to make the game better.

I wont be playing this this year, or in future years, hopefully there will be competition when it comes to baseball games in the future, there's a lot of potential out there!

Generally never comment on posts like this.....but....I 100% agree with you. This is by far the worst iteration of MLB the Show since I started playing it in 2016 (And 2018 was really bad, so that's saying something).

The "franchise" is literally going backwards, and all of the needless changes have made it even worse. Not to mention of horrendous hitting engine, constant diving stops and catches, etc, etc.

Getting rid of Team Affinity and Innings programs was a horrible choice, and the changes to POTM month programs are awful.

I'll keep playing as its the only game I play, but I may go back to play 20 and just play franchise at my own pace with the players and rosters I like at some point if they don't make some changes soon.

Lastly, I've always been a HUGE supporter of SDS, but as much as other possible choices don't seem great, I think they desperately need some healthy competition to push them and their product forward, and stop mailing it in each year. I hope it happens soon

Just use Trea Turner as a bit of a comparison. I think he was around 55-60k after about 2 weeks and now like 20-25k. One thing to keep in mind though, is that there is a VERY good chance, that for Memorial Day, their is going to likely be a stub sale, and that will greatly inflate the market. If i didnt have him already, I think i'd wait a week to buy him at least, but i'd 100% purchase him before the next attribute update and make sure I get him before the stub sale happens.

Totally get it. If you are going to go back to just franchise, I'd recommend going back to MLBTheShow 20 (Javy Lopez Edition). It's by far the best Franchise experience over the past 4-5 years, with the best CAPS and Custom Rosters..... and the trade logic, while still not great, is still way better than 21 and 22. Getting rid of year over year saves starting in 21 has basically killed the golden goose with Franchise.

JRAM as well....Freeman and maybe even Manny Machado (SDS loves their Padres) have outside chances at 90 I think. Betting Wander and Lindor will boost to an 84. Carlos Rodon is now a lock to go Diamond and JT Realmuto along with Ozzie Albies also have a decent shot at Diamond.
