Can’t believe I’m actually going debate this with you but what heck. The Mariners dump a ton on money on players, their problem is given the chance they leave. Why? Not the money, but whatever else. Location, organization, lame fans, the culture, etc
So yes, it’s Seattle it’s self along with the fan base

For the most part, the days of buying teams are gone. It’s about player development and young, controlable talent
