Having played a while now, I can tell you the big advantage is already being familiar with certain players pitching animations that everyone tends to use. If you used Kershaw today against anyone who was semi decent two years ago, you would see him get lit up. If you tried to face him not having lots of experience, it will be very frustrating. Probably why Cabrera is so dominant, he is new.

I agree somewhat but I think it's more about the pitch mix. Kluber is still pretty good this year despite how many hours we logged against him last year. Any pitcher with three direction breaks with multiple speed differentials on same tunnel pitches with high h/9/k9s is going to do well.

I can't give you a review since I sold mine immediately last night when I got him. To be worth that price the card would basically have to hit a home run every two games without you even pressing the button to swing. Let him come down another hundred stubs in the next week as more people finish the program.

Nice review. Some people got 5mil stubs, 350k is a drop in the bucket to them.

And those people don't need to know how a card plays or if he's "worth it".

Play third base at any level above high school and tell me baseballs don't slice that much.

The shortstop is about as useful to me as the Alan Trammell they just dropped a couple days ago. I actually like both their cards and both their swings for BR or events but they definitely do not make a Ranked Seasons roster unless you are doing some sort of theme or something.

He's a good cheap versatile SS for people without top level squads. Or for me he's a cheap signature to grab and hold for collections to drive his price up.

I thought you were taking about this gem.

Your post was not sarcasm. It was a passive aggressive attempt at making others that may play the game a different way feel inferior to you because their priorities don't align with yours. Your entire first post was to be an internet tough guy. I simply pointed out the irony of how you went about it.

Just finished the stronghold game and won 5-0...shows I earned 5520XP which I admit is strange

idk specifically how XP is earned but you all complaining about not making enough XP is simply ridiculous

Edit: considering that the map was finished by beating the stronghold last, that XP total above may have included the XP for completing the last few missions within the conquest program...just a thought

It isn’t ridiculous because not everyone is getting those levels of XP. I think that is the issue here. I get between 1-2 k xp for a conquest game regardless of how many runs scored or strikeouts.

That’s not the issues here, that’s not even the subject of this post

Even if you’re making 1-2k for conquest games, playing that and playing online modes will easily get you to 350k by end of program

That’s the point here...OP thinks people won’t have enough time to get enough xp to get a boss, and that’s simply not true unless it’s a personal problem

Define easily? Do you mean 2 hours a night every night? That is closing in in 60 hours of play and a lot of people wouldn’t call that easily.

Assuming you’ve completed the program missions, player programs, conquests, and showdown, after completing those....if you play 2 RS games a night, I’m sure you’d hit 350k easily

If you’re an offline player, you could grind through the USA conquest map, showdowns, moments etc and that should still net you enough XP after completing the other listed things above

I am a big advocate of making programs like these inning programs completable by the average player so they too can have access to great cards for free. I think 350k shouldn’t be an issue now with smoother servers. I hope you make it!

Oh I’ll make it. I’m already at 175k but that is with over 4 hours a day but I do think the time needed to just get to 350k starts going outside of casual. TWo RS games a night is almost two hours then start throwing in moments and conquests you are absolutely looking at 60 hours to complete the program.

I don't think casuals (based on your definition of casual) should get the bosses. Henchman feel like the perfect reward for someone that does not play the game that much. Bosses are for more dedicated players and the bundles and live series rewards are for the maniacs.

As a Reds fan I love Winker and what he is doing this season but he has posted a -2.0 UZR in left this year. There is a reason they are working to see if they can convert him to the infield.

Soriano just has a slow swing so unless you adjust you approach you will struggle with him. The others combined with your success with Abrams sounds like you might be pressing with your big hitters and swinging outside the zone more, combined with opposing players pitching around the big hitters more out of fear this leads to strikeouts and weak contact. I do the same thing when I get shiny new cards. Their first few games I end up hitting sub .200 with them. Right around the time I write them off and stop caring they start climbing up to .350-.400 due to me not pressing and opponents not fearing them due to their average and challenging them.

Love the card on paper but that strike zone on legendary vs any pitcher with movement, good luck.

Still throws the second best sinker in the game but worth depends on what level you mostly play at. Below HoF not really. HoF, maybe. Legend definitely. HoF and below you can do just as well with free cards as you can with Leiter.

So what cards should I, and the rest of us, be buying for future collections?

I have all the current collections done, Jackie, Mo, live series I'll do the ohtani collection later this month. But should I buy all the breakout, 2nd half, veteran, rookie ect..

I usually try to keep 85-90% of the number of cards available in a series in my binder. If you have more than you need when it releases you can sell them when the prices rise.

I think they will more than likely have 6 or 8 new cards today so you can skip one or two top tier guys or the flashback derby cards.

Agree. There will probably be about 50 total cards to pick from.

Maddux's 94 has been beyond incredible for me. Sub 1 ERA even throwing him on All-Star in the events. His upcoming signature card may be the only card I have ever valued over 500k stubs.

That he acted like was a game 7 grand slam. Didn't see him taking his jersey off and pounding his chest last week when he single handedly booted two balls giving the Cardinals 4 runs in an inning and hanging his pitcher out to dry.
