@LHUBison58_XBL You make no sense. It's always somebody else's fault I don't get the gratification I want? What gratification am I not seeking and not getting? I don't get gratification of subsidizing people like you, that's for sure. I'm sorry I posted, I usually don't post in these types of forums because many have problems with simple concepts. There was no app, and now there is. I can't be unhappy about changes in the game? Whatever. Pound sand.

@Talkingben9558_XBL No, I get people bidding on cards. It's the same people who bid on all the cards every day all day. A card is bought after an exhausting 1 up bid, and 10 seconds later it's for sale. Once that one sells, whaddya know, there is a bid 1 over yours. All the time, every day and night. It's ridiculous. If you can' be on the console, you shouldn't be able to affect a console game. Sorry. If you took 20 minutes to watch the market, it isn't hard to see. This is a recent change, it hasn't always been this way. "Soooo we're getting mad that people can also bid on the card you want?"...whatever.
-
@LHUBison58_XBL Doesn't have the patience? I can look at any card in the market and all it is is flipping. All day and night every day and night. "Engaged'? Sorry, it's a console game, not a phone game. Go shop on Amazon or something. Ya, why do we have to pay more so you can play on your phone? Some of us want to get cards and play the game, not subsidize ne'er-do-wells. Moral superiority? It isn't a phone game. Maybe they need a mobile card flipping addition for those like yourself. It never was a phone game, and it's been changed. Yes, people who have been playing for 20 years can be unhappy about changes. Talk about the pot calling the kettle.
Better yet, go grind the draft conquest and play the actual game. Doesn't affect me, you get easy stubs. When it does affect me, and you're trying to leech a percentage of my stubs and have me support your card buying habit, then I can not like it.

@TheBigPapa55_PSN Apparently it's MiLB the Show 25, they need to rebrand. Talk about a disappointing drop. I get prospects, but multiple rounds of prospects? We're playing this to use people who are (or have been) in the Show, not minor leaguers. We still don't have good cards for our favorites and we're heading into September.
I'm a Tigers guy, but why does McConigle have 2 cards but Henderson, Musial, Gywnn, and Brock (not even a realistic Gwynn or Brock but clown cards) only have 1.
-
@SaveFarris_PSN Agreed. Of course McConigle should be better at this stage than Trammell. It only makes sense. Will probably have better stats than Judge while they are at it.

@xRatedGProdigyx_PSN Offline and online (vs friends). I think it's just the reaction time settings they use which don't allow fielders to move immediately on grounders. And as far as the crappy fielders they select, that's just bad AI. It used to be you had control over the fielder the ball was coming at and the one behind (outfielder) would be on his way automatically so you could then switch. Now the outfielder is the initial guy they give you so when you think you can get to a ground ball with say SS, you pull the outfielder off because you were never given the opportunity with the infielder. I just hope they blow the whole fielding engine up and start over. A previous poster had it right I think in that they must have made these changes to stop cheater from taking advantage of a smooth fielding/running game. Now we get this clunky unathletic quagmire in the field instead.

@GixxerRyder750_PSN Off.

@GixxerRyder750_PSN Sure, I think there are constantly people every hour of the day and night bidding on Eugenio Suarez...constantly bidding up by one til they get the card for the cheapest price possible, and then within 10 seconds apparently someone else is always putting the card up to sell at the highest price possible and bidding it down by one until it sells. For almost all cards, especially the ones with the largest spreads.
Sure...that's what happens buddy. Millions are constantly playing this game. This isn't a phone game, it's a console (and maybe PC) game. You should have to be on the console (or pc) to keep ruining the game and making it more costly for everyone else.
Eugenio Suarez was just an example, but it's any card with a spread of more than 10%. All the devs did by putting in the tax was keep the prices of cards inflated. Now the flippers need their profit plus the 10% tax that the rest of us get to subsidize.
And if we have all these sophisticated buyers and sellers constantly buying cards for their collections using bids, who is using the "buy now" or "sell now" option? That's another good question. Clearly the masses of people who are buying Eugenio Suarez and need him immediately and don't know they can often get him much cheaper with a bid? Or people with so many stubs they can afford to throw them away?

So I've adjusted about every setting I can find, but I still don't really get to control the fielders. I play on All-Star or veteran, does that give me less control?
My middle infielders will make plays on their own, and my corner infielders often won't allow me to move them until the ball is already upon them. I often can't get to a ball 2 feet away, it's like they are stuck in cement shoes. Also, I often get the wrong fielder when there are popups in shallow outfield or in foul territory behind first as well as bunts. Do HOF and Legend provide more control? I haven't seen many people complaining about it so I assume it can't be this bad for everyone. How do I get smooth fielding? These animations blow. -
@x-814-x-MAFIA-x_PSN So you're hitting about the same now as a few months ago? That's my point...shouldn't we be increasing our offense with 99's going against bronze/silvers? What is the benefit of these 99's? Do they only matter in multiplayer?
-
@yankblan_PSN Is this for a technical reason or just because you find it to be easier? Just curious as I can't find much out there other than generic explanations for the difference between Vet, All-Star, etc.
-
@x-814-x-MAFIA-x_PSN Depends...sometimes veteran, sometimes All-Star. Veteran for programs and stat accumulation, All-Star for fun. Do the higher attributes on high cards affect one more than the other?
-
I've seen others post about this as well, but they clearly have. Before nay-saying, don't be lazy...compare your stats (vs. CPU) with your 85 era cards vs your 99's. Your game history as well. These same conquest foes sure hit a lot more homers and I bet your offense hasn't improved much with these 99 cards. Just sayin'. Are the scores significantly different? I know I'm just a bad player, everybody has a bad day, etc., etc. But be honest...if ya look I bet you'd find the same. These conquest boys have scaled up. The cards get prettier, but they don't do much better. We're just dogs chasing our tail as far as SDS is concerned.
-
@PriorFir4383355_XBL So basically, buy these expensive cards that are supposedly better and then SDS ups the CPU players abilities so it's exactly the same game and we see no benefits to the new cards. Great. It's kinda like all the games now having you repeatedly chase better armor only to have the enemies scale up to your new level. Anybody else feel like a hamster on a wheel?
-
I posted something similar questioning the 99 cards, but mine is probably a 60 game (3 innings) sample size so it isn't because of a bad day. I don't notice a change in my offensive production now vs when I used the 85 diamonds. Playing the same bronze/silver/gold cards I still hit the same amount of homers, similar BA, etc., in conquest. I wonder if anyone else notices a large bump which would be expected. As far as becoming more difficult, if you do the Inked it would obviously be harder due to the better cards. But conquest should be much easier you would think.
-
I don't notice much of a difference. Shouldn't there be a huge disparity since 99's are now playing against the same bronze/silver/golds etc.? My homers are way up, I hit about the same amount. is it just me?
-
@sbchamps17_NSW I'm sure lots do. Those are the free riders. Unfortunately, the people who actual buy stubs will soon be sick of subsidizing them. Normally there is a cost to price fixing and hoarding in a market, but there isn't as this one is currently constructed. You don't have to pay for storage, etc. So the only people bearing the cost are the people who spend money and we don't like paying artificially fixed high prices and thus subsidizing those free riders. So for those of us who want to actually play the game, the money flow cuts off fast and we spend somewhere else. This is the first year it has been this bad, and Im sure the sales are down without Gamepass on Xbox. They want to make cards more rare and more expensive to get, and on top of it we have to pay your freight as well (card flippers in general not necessarily you personally)? No thanks!
-
@Teak2112_MLBTS Actually the thing missing isa version where two friends can play against each other and use the players they want and expect when they buy the game. Like we always had until they dropped online leagues. Now we don't get to use the players we want and have to constantly grind against the CPU, play people we don't know or care about, or continuously pay more. Why should we have to wait to use our favorite player til the end of the season, and have it be another 99 that is just like all the others but with a different skin.
We'll here from the diehards that it needs to be a sim, yet I didn't know recently drafted rookies should have better attributes than perennial all stars and legends.
-
@Talkingben9558_XBL Without the Show on XBOX Gamepass this year I doubt it.
-
I'm sorry, there aren't thousands of people buying and selling cards at all hours of the day. It's to the point now where no matter what card I'm trying to sell at any time in the day it is immediately within seconds undercut. I'm sick of subsidizing these a-holes. They should at least have to be in front of the game like I am, not getting notifications and flipping while they are at the dentist office. The cash spigot is turning off for me. Not only are they immediately undercut, but they repeatedly undercut for an hour in a race to the bottom. On almost every card. This hasn't always been like this.
And apparently there are bot apps out there that automatically list and relist....come on SDS, this is BS!

Yeah didn’t know that employees of SDS get to change prices of cards in the marketplace.
