    Let’s be honest

@YOSHI24_XBL - Baseball sim based on today's baseball? No thanks. There are 8 MLB players hitting .300 or better this year. In the late 80's-90's, there were 40-45ish. Even 70's, 60's, 15-25ish. Baseball right now blows and they need to make the game somewhat fun. No one wants to basically play catch with the pitcher and catcher for 9 innings with a couple homers sprinkled in. BOOOOORING!

Not to mention all the draft picks who somehow are better than the Aaron Judges and Tarik Skubals of the league. Next everyone will have a 99. How about that slow Lou Brock with power and no speed (albeit only warning track power)...what a stupid collection. Does that sound like a sim?

If you want a sim, go play OOP.

  • The Conquest teams sure have gotten a lot better!
  • dinkus_MLBTSD dinkus_MLBTS

I've seen others post about this as well, but they clearly have. Before nay-saying, don't be lazy...compare your stats (vs. CPU) with your 85 era cards vs your 99's. Your game history as well. These same conquest foes sure hit a lot more homers and I bet your offense hasn't improved much with these 99 cards. Just sayin'. Are the scores significantly different? I know I'm just a bad player, everybody has a bad day, etc., etc. But be honest...if ya look I bet you'd find the same. These conquest boys have scaled up. The cards get prettier, but they don't do much better. We're just dogs chasing our tail as far as SDS is concerned.

  • How come?
  • dinkus_MLBTSD dinkus_MLBTS

@PriorFir4383355_XBL So basically, buy these expensive cards that are supposedly better and then SDS ups the CPU players abilities so it's exactly the same game and we see no benefits to the new cards. Great. It's kinda like all the games now having you repeatedly chase better armor only to have the enemies scale up to your new level. Anybody else feel like a hamster on a wheel?

  • Hitting is such a inconsistent mess IMO
  • dinkus_MLBTSD dinkus_MLBTS

It got much worse after the update Tuesday. Seemed fine to me before that. Since the update, no pop in the bats whatsoever.

Edit: Playin all-star the hitting seems fine. Veteran apparently was nerfed.

  • Just to reiterate the stupidity of buying packs
  • dinkus_MLBTSD dinkus_MLBTS

In the 150 Show packs I just opened, I got 1 diamond...a Corbin Burnes Threads card.

Yes, the 3 Chase packs players totaled about 25k in the 3 guaranteed diamonds, but for 225k, that's a little light in the loafers.

Before you start, yes, I understand odds, etc. But 1 in 150 on 1:50 odds is still pretty bad. Especially when its a 16k card. If you don't have money to flush down the toilet, there's a good chance it's soon to be on its way to the sewage treatment facility.

  • Ideas to add in MLB The Show 26
  • dinkus_MLBTSD dinkus_MLBTS

@PapaRicanTX_XBL I do believe that if you only play a couple innings of the 9 inning vs CPU and then quit, you still keep everything as far as XP. I could be wrong, but that would be an easy solution unless saves or wins are what you're looking for.

  • Please get rid of card flipping on the phone app, it's getting ridiculous
  • dinkus_MLBTSD dinkus_MLBTS

@GixxerRyder750_PSN Sure, I think there are constantly people every hour of the day and night bidding on Eugenio Suarez...constantly bidding up by one til they get the card for the cheapest price possible, and then within 10 seconds apparently someone else is always putting the card up to sell at the highest price possible and bidding it down by one until it sells. For almost all cards, especially the ones with the largest spreads.

Sure...that's what happens buddy. Millions are constantly playing this game. This isn't a phone game, it's a console (and maybe PC) game. You should have to be on the console (or pc) to keep ruining the game and making it more costly for everyone else.

Eugenio Suarez was just an example, but it's any card with a spread of more than 10%. All the devs did by putting in the tax was keep the prices of cards inflated. Now the flippers need their profit plus the 10% tax that the rest of us get to subsidize.

And if we have all these sophisticated buyers and sellers constantly buying cards for their collections using bids, who is using the "buy now" or "sell now" option? That's another good question. Clearly the masses of people who are buying Eugenio Suarez and need him immediately and don't know they can often get him much cheaper with a bid? Or people with so many stubs they can afford to throw them away?

@x-814-x-MAFIA-x_PSN So you're hitting about the same now as a few months ago? That's my point...shouldn't we be increasing our offense with 99's going against bronze/silvers? What is the benefit of these 99's? Do they only matter in multiplayer?
