Does Hr/9 still affect gameplay and card overalls?

I was looking at cards in the MLB app and I saw that pitchers still have a Hr/9 stat. Is this a possible reason for the weird hits? Ik they said it was gone in the streams and it shows in game it’s gone but why does the app show it and why is it different on different cards? This raises the question.

Did SDS lie and say they took out stats that don’t affect gameplay? Or is this a visual bug in the app and the stats screen needs to be redone. Or is this a hidden stat that is affecting gameplay and card overalls and we don’t know it because we can’t see it in game.

If it does affect overall and gameplay, why not just show it. Is it’s a visual bug then why not fix it but also why is it different? If we were lied to on purpose why? And is this the reason why some cards feel good and others don’t.
Just curious if anyone else say this and have thoughts.
Also there are hidden stats for hitters like discipline.

Yup! People wear mint green, baby blue, light purple and pink (Harrison Bader) all the time. Yet they still have their colors off so it’s annoying when they are in game and look off.

2K basketball does 1 thing right. I can make my uniforms look HOW EVER I WANT. More customization does not hurt the game. It makes me spend more time on it before I play what I want to play. Would just be nice to make a jersey that looks like and MLB one but it’s mine.

Defense is good and will be seen as so the more better cards come out. Baserunning is terrible, and hitting feels like it went backwards. We need the old skill gap for baserunning and more control over situational baserunning. If I want a guy going on contact, let me set that plz. Pitchers need a pickoff rating like catchers have catcher poptime. The inner PCI (the dot) needs to be a vision stat and get bigger and smaller based on that stat, the inner bubble needs to be a contact stat, and the outer needs to be affected by Ks/9 more or less based on that stat to reduce foul balls.
Other than that game is fine but frustrating. Also more customization with jerseys and colors on players should be aloud. Why has it been the same since 2013.

@SavageSteve74_PSN Crawford has 47 ABs for the Phills in 2026 Spring Training. Painter has pitched 4 games and has a 2.31 ERA. So outside [censored] of Future Stars is wild and 2 they are playing?!? Why give the Mariners 4 or 5 cards and not either of these two 1? They are playing, spring training break out cards aren’t performance based or some of the guys they dropped wouldn’t have cards. I use the stats to prove a point that they are playing not they need a card. Just saying spread the love to other teams.

Kinda sucks for no Phillies love. Andrew Painter and Justin Crawford would have been nice.

Because of the one park that messed up everything last year they aren’t porting them over.

Defense is solid and I like the way u actually have to gamble on players at postions and it opens the field for baseball to be played.
But there are still too many good swing outs and perfect outs.

I don’t get why they don’t have streams just be the colored commentary for him so he can just announce and leave all the colored commentary to people who do it for a living while recording and playing the game.

To stadium creator mainly but I’ll take a camo jersey pattern at this point for DD. Just something plz. Let us the users and fans of the game make the fun, just give us the tools.

@JDHalfrack_PSN difference in DD is there’s not plot or backstory other then some words no one reads. If they wanna make a short playable film then give us good ones that are sick. Hell pick the cover athlete and do a storyline on them each year and tell their story to present day.

I get the history is important but can we plz add storylines that make history sense and are cool things everyone likes and want to see?!? Like how many years do I need to get negro leagues stuff down my throat (pause). Can we go back to stuff like the Jeter storyline? Can we do a steroid era storyline and touch on how the McGwire and Sosa race kinda saved baseball. Can we touch on the Giants winning every even year? Can we touch on the Nationals crazy turn around to win the World Series? Can we touch on the Yankees crazy dominance with 3 WS wins. Can we touch on baseball history as a whole and not 1 small corner of the game. This way we get legends that tie into it and kinda build the hype to them more?!? Like storylines has been the same basically, stadium creator, franchise and uniform customization the last few years. Please make a change that actually builds hype PLZ.

It’s the reactions and speed on guys letting the soft hits fall more. But yes the hard hit outs are crazy bad.

Does anyone know? I don’t wanna waste my time but I like using my own park.
