SDS has been great at content in general, but this one is a little too out there for me, personally. I think it’s a little childish and silly, but also completely irrelevant. It’s a baseball game, let’s stick with that guys.

Just watched his first start in AA. They only let him go 3 innings, but he still managed to get 7 Ks. I was fortunate to get pretty good seats behind home plate, and oh my, this dude can throw. One of the best curveballs I’ve seen in person (best was Zito). Hope he turns out well, because the Rangers could sure use some pitching.

There’s a definite RNG element built into the game. Not all good input is rewarded, that’s for sure. I’ve come to except it and try and just enjoy playing. It’s not worth my aggravation
That’s actually a great mindset to have.
I personally couldn’t get there and had to stop playing. I just got to the point where I was frustrated more than not and wasn’t really having fun anymore. -

This is how events used to be, this is a much better system
Completely disagree. Events were the only online game mode that casual gamers could really enjoy. The 12 win streak award has taken that away. Event lobbies are sweatier that BR and RS nowadays.

I’ve been playing The Show for years and I’m not usually one to complain, but online gameplay feels more inconsistent than ever to me. Overall the game has just been yucky so far.
Have y’all liked online gameplay so far or are y’all having similar experiences?

The 12 win streak reward is great for the top 5% of players, but kinda ruined Events for the rest of us

I’m going to his first start in AA this Saturday. I’ll give you my scouting report haha

IMO, Zito's curve was not all that great. Max Fried has the same curveball style. I think Kerry Wood or Verlander had the best curves. Curves that are thrown hard with late bite is difficult to pick up. But I'm excited about Leiter. He looked legit in college.
IMO, the pitch you’re describing is what a slider is intended for. A well thrown, slower 12-6 can really eff with a batters timing and straight up make major league batters look silly. Nothing against the power curve, but if you’re going with a curve and a slider, give me the slower curve to mix up speed differentials.

Well I’ve been playing for years, RS record last year was 74-11, so I think it’s fair to say I’ve “learned” the game. And I can attest to this years online gameplay being complete garbage thus far.

I’m going to work as hard as I can to develop a great Kaiju style monster video game. Grow it for years along with a monster gamer fan base. Once I’ve built it into a legit franchise and have all the monster gamers eating out of the palm of my hand, I’m gonna launch a game update and make all the monsters start playing baseball. Balance in the universe will be restored.

Chris Sale definitely should have been Scissor Hands haha

Completely disagree. Events were the only online game mode that casual gamers could really enjoy. The 12 win streak award has taken that away. Event lobbies are sweatier that BR and RS nowadays.
Why can’t you enjoy them now? It’s nowhere near as sweaty as BR and ranked. This is a much better system than “here’s 3k for winning 12 games in one run”
I’ve played both quite a bit recently and Events is actually sweatier than BR. And that system already exists, it’s called BR.
So you think a couple hours worth of time getting 12 wins is worth 3k? If the programs gave you an 83 gold for grinding out a whole program there would be revolts but it’s cool for online play for a couple hours of your time being worth no stubs?
Dude, there are cumulative diamond rewards at 5 wins, 10 wins, 20 wins, 25 wins, 40 wins, etc. there are plenty of stubs to be had in events without a 12 wins streak reward.
Most events have only been 2 rewards so that’s only 15 and 20 wins, 40 wins is the 12 win reward rewind (unsellable) 5 is the cumulative rewind (unsellable) most cumulative rewards are 15k. Again, 3k stubs for a 12 win run is a waste of time. This system is much better.
Again, casual players aren’t playing events for 12 win streak rewards. People are playing for the cumulative rewards. If you want to play for 12 win cards there is BR for that, it’s always been there. It’s unnecessary to sweaty up the only chill online game mode. Now there’s nowhere for casual players to go without getting their asses repeatedly stomped.
Sorry you don’t feel you can be gifted wins anymore..
I’ve only lost one game in RS, so I’m good bud
Lol in 12 games of ranked
Apparently you’re not “good bud” because you’re mad about event games lol
Yeah, I haven’t played much this year due to having a baby. Last year I was 74-11, if that sample size is better for you. Sometimes you have to look out for other people than just yourself, if you ever come down from your high horse one day maybe you will realize that. 12 win streak rewards in events are great for the top 5% of players for that can actually obtain them, but the increased competitiveness is the Events mode has made it miserable for the majority of players and that’s not good for an already dwindling game.

Is this an issue everyone is having?
I’ve tried everything and still can’t seem to fix it. -

I realize not every legend is going to be available at launch obviously, but I happened to glance at the icon inventory. There’s 8 legend icons but not a 42. There’s one for Randy Johnson but the others are the same as last year (I think… Didn’t open 21 to confirm though.)
IIRC Jackie Robinson day is on the 7th. We should get a program for him and all his icons etc.
JRD is always 4/15
Just like tax day -

Fellow Rangers fan....super excited, hear he is headed to Frisco where I can see him pitch often
He’s making his debut this Saturday.
I’ll be there. C’mon out brotha. -

Dr Pepper stadium? I need to get there for another game. That place is lively and fun af!
Yessir! That was my first game there. Really cool little park and part of town. Keep an eye out on their schedule and see if you can catch a Leiter start!

literally what I was thinking, playing throughout my life you could be timed for a fastball and a hard power curve you could hold hands back and flick it through the 5 hole ... a slow loopy zito esque CB??? youre sitting one or the other not both
Or you can just look fastball and react to a loopy curve. Because you know that 75mph curve isn’t blowing by you. Hard curves start with a similar plane as a fastball. Pretty hard to keep hands back and balanced when it’s too late picking up the spin.
just was my personal take as a D1 outfielder but sure okay
Ha I feel ya brotha. It’s hard for some people to differentiate video game hitting and real life hitting. It’s a lot more complex than mashing that X button.

I've played D1 as well. So yeah, I have a decent understanding as well. Zito's curve never made him a strike out pitcher.
Yeah, it only won him a Cy Young. You right tho, dude sucked.
