I had no idea Donaldson played catcher. Check his block rating. A few years ago I was able to put Bruce Harper behind the plate. He had a really high block rating for a non catcher. Think he played it in the minors.

I got a headache trying to understand what you wrote. I believe the ghost runner will be gone after this year. I think it's only locked in the CBA for this year. It's an awful rule either way. It's meant to speed up the game but research shows it doesn't shave anytime off.

Tells you pretty much the state of disarray The game is in presently. Even our 21 stats arshowing up where 22 should be.All of that will probably be adressed as soon as they get thru countig all the dough we have given them or some popular YouTube streamer ( Stubb salesman ) complains. More than likely these are anomalies caused by incorporating multi platform information when you are struggling to deal with one. When you linked accounts it reset your stats somehow kinda would be the executive explanation. LMAO

That's what it must be. I've played one or two games this week but my log shows me playing several games everyday. I'm not worried about the stats as mine aren't very good. It would be cool if they gave me a free pack or somthing for letting the community beat up on my team everyday. Lol

Yeah this guy who points out that you won’t overrun bases if you don’t use the bumpers to control your runners instead of controlling them individually. Wow what a novel solution to the problem. And if you refuse to learn how to do this than you deserve to be thrown out when you overrun the base. Enough said

You tell EM! Or maybe they fix this? That could be another viable option. You know... bring things to light, on a few occasions this has rendered a patch from SDS. Why is it an issue to point out something that isn’t working as intended? It’s a function in the game. If it doesn’t work how it’s suppose to shouldn’t the community say something? Isn’t this a forum where players can come to and point out some of these things? And how do people not know Clark Kent is Superman? He disguises himself as well as Waldo at a funeral.

So let me get this straight, because YOU believe something is broken doesn’t mean that the developers see it as being broken. There is a solution to this problem and I pointed it out. Don’t use the advance all runners bumper and you WONT overrun the base. If you choose the individual runner and tell them which base to run to you won’t run yourself into an out unless you are truly thrown out by the defense I.e. trying to stretch a single into a double. So please tell me how this is broken when there is a solution to the issue that you can use. It may require you to train yourself to do something new but there is a learning curve to learning anything new. Again I ask what is broken here?

You’d do better breathing air into a bag. The bumper function does not work properly. This has been brought up every year. It is an issue. I use both buttons and bumpers. Your “solution” isn’t a solution it’s what’s called a work around.

According to YOU!!! That’s the operative word here. YOU think it’s broke. That does not correlate to the game developers see this issue as being broke. Maybe they leave it this way because there is a base running interface which addresses this situation. Just like you can choose to use classic pitching to pitch in the game and you sacrifice all sorts of different things if you use it it because this is the easiest interface to use. Whereas if you use pinpoint pitching you will be able to maximize each pitchers strengths due to pitch placement and accuracy. The same goes for this base running issue. The easiest interface is to mash bumpers whereas if you can relearn to choose individual runners your accuracy while base running will ultimately improve. But my guess is is that you’re incapable of getting past the YOU part of this argument. This makes your responses have little credibility.

People saying they are having an issue brings it to light and gives the developers feedback. I’ll be polite and not make assumption about YOU? Since you clearly want to imply incompetents on my part. Which I’ve said I use both bumpers and buttons. Anyways I’ll just say we are at an impasse and nothing on my end requires further rebuttal.

From my history with this moron, he's just yanking your chain. No one could really be as dense as he acts. Play back or ignore him.

I’d invest in a good tv instead. Some of the input lags are better than most monitors.

I looked on Google and couldn't find any info. So in RTTS my player is a catcher and in DD he's a first baseman. That was fine. I leveled up to the gold archetype and it moved him to LF. His defense isn't good enough to be in the OF. It said 1B was secondary but he dropped 3 or 4 balls in a game last night and I had to pull him. How can I get him back to first?

If you're playing vs cpu/offline - You'd need to equip a archtype that lists 1B first, which may not be the best one (its not a well thought out system making certain archtypes have a specific primary).

If you're playing online in ranked seasons -- set up your best ballplayer loadout you want to use and create a second one to be the "1B" primary and set that as active. When you go into the ranked game, it will ask you to select your archtype which you would then choose your "best" one.

This is how people get the C ballplayers right now online.

I appreciate the help. I understand the first part about vs cpu. I had silver slugger archetype. When I progressed to gold, I could only do LF or 3B. I'm a little confused by the second part about ranked seasons. I know if I go back to the silver archetype I can play 1B. Are you saying, I can use my gold archetype and still play 1B?

For ranked seasons only, yes. Its a workaround to the broken secondary position defense thing. You put your BP at 1B, equipped with the silver slugger 1B primary archtype. When you go to select ranked seasons it asks you which build to use. At this time you select the Gold one and it will have you playing 1B with normal stats. (or at least it should -- it works for the C position).

So if I have the hawk SS up to diamond, I can put a bronze Catcher in rtts and not even level up the archetype but choose that player but when I start RS I choose the hawk diamond archetype and he will be a diamond Catcher? Its like a puzzle, thanks if I understood that right.

EDIT: This is for DD, not so much RTTS. I don't know if its affected in RTTS.

I know Hawk is primary SS, not sure secondary's though. I think this is a workaround for the secondary positions ...so if C is a secondary on Hawk then yeah, pretty much.

I've seen this method work for the diamond Yo Adrian build (primary 3B). You select a slick fielding bronze C archtype as your "active" build (equip/perks are immaterial) and when you go to play a ranked game it asks you to select archtype. You choose your Adrian build (or hawk for you if it works) and it should allow you to play the secondary without deleting your fielding ability.

Interesting. I haven't been in the card game since I was a kid. That's cool they can get them out that quick. I heard Topps and MLB is launching something to compete with "NBA Topshots". I would be all in on packs of those.

update Thanks for all the advice. Got Fernando yesterday and added Romo to my pen. Grinded through a bunch of conquest. Fernando is great. I can already tell he is going to play well online. I pitched with strike zone and could see how hard he is to pick up. I feel like the fastball seems a lot faster because of his release point. Anyways, looking forward to testing him out online today

If he stays healthy it's gonna happen for sure. Hopefully it doesn't take that long though. It's not like he is life long minor league who is just on hot streak. He's a stud prospect and I think a top 10 pick a few years ago. Wander came in as an 80. I don't think wins and losses affect how they do the attributes. Playing for the Marlins, he'd be doomed. You're 100% right about the TN and POTM, I didn't even think about that.

I don't think so but you should google it. I just happen to see the link on gamespot.com. I believe it's part of Playstations "Play at Home" promo. They had some games available to download for free. Next they are doing free in game currency for certain games.

I have had the game since early launch and it is my favorite one I have played. I did not play in '18 but played all the other and sounds like I picked the right year to skip from what I have heard. I dont know about the connection issues, I think I have only had one game disconnect since launch. Hitting to me feels great, pinpoint pitching/created stadiums were good additions and hopefully they can improve on ballplayer some, but otherwise great. Content has been great as well IMO

Okay. Thanks a lot man. I kinda thought that was happening but wasn't sure if maybe the attributes just jumped too much based on performance. Lol. Gotta wait a month or so after release before I get next years.
