Still learning my way around The Show here. Sorry if this question has already been answered, Anyway, my Exhibition Roster isn't updating and I have no idea how to manually update it either. I was always under the impression that the update happened automatically. But I have noticed that the Rosters are always 1 day behind and not updated to same day pitchers. I can see that the Teams Standings / Records are in fact correct when I go the days schedule, but when I pick a game to play, it's a day behind with the starting pitchers. So, how do I update.

Will MLB The Show 21 have the All-Star game in Exhibition Roster on game day like it does for regular games? Same question for Home Run Derby with the actual line up set to compete in the HRD. Just curious.

So, I finally got around to creating my custom player. I feel embarrassed to ask, but how do I put him on a Team and use my created player? I want to drop him into the Padres Roster. Thanks in advance.
-
Not a Giants fan, but Candlestick Park with mini tornado in Left Field would be nice.
-
Yeah, old Gen Xbox. Gonna be awhile before I upgrade to next gen.
-
For me it's Keibert Ruiz. Hits better than a lot of the top players I have on my Roster.
-
Padres fan here, so naturally I would like to have old Jack Murphy Stadium in the game. Is there a reason why this isn't even available as an unlockable for The Show 21? I figured that this would have already been in the game given the other old stadiums getting the unlockable treatment.

@daddysr-29_psn said in Total Bases for Matt Kemp and Eric Davis:
Skip those steps.
Put Rookie Kemp in your lineup until you get the stats, then just collect outfielders.
Way easier and less frustrating. Not sure what you mean. Still new the game....learning what I can about the Ins/Outs. So unclear about Kemp in lineup. Does using him in lineup and ranking up help with doing Moments later? Just curious. Thanks in advance.

I just wish there was a way to reset the whole process. If I can't get a few hits in Game 1, I know it's not gonna get any easier with 2 games remaining...but I still have to go thru all 3 games just to start over.
-
I'm pretty sure ya'll have already knocked out Matt Kemp and Eric Davis player program with ease....but man, getting X amount of Total Bases (TB) is infuriating for me. Been at it for weeks for Davis and for the last few days for Kemp. I'm lucky if I get 1-2 base hits total.
Okay. Mini "rant" over.

I'm looking to get a specific Home Run call (Oh, Doctor! by the late, great Jerry Coleman) and I thought I could just grab it in the marketplace. But I'm not seeing it at all. Can you not purchase these? Or do I just have to wait and hope I get lucky with a pack?
Thanks in advance.

New to the series, but I have seen previous sports games where they allow you to scan in your face onto your character. Is that something that is not happening with Show 21 or is it coming later? Just curious. Thanks in advance.
-
Don't know why people think it's so hard to get good pulls. I got 3 Trout's in 5 minutes. Granted.....they were actually fish from the market.
-
Ahhhh. Okay. Thought maybe I got shorted a good card. Oh well. Thanks guys.
-
So I was under the impression that once I got enough XP for get Headliners Set 2 that I would be getting CJ Abrams as one of my cards and the Mariners Alternate Road 1997 Jersey. Or is this another random draw for players? New here, so not entirely caught up on how this all works when it comes to packs. Some clarification would be helpful here. Thanks in advance.

No problem. I suggest you pick up any of the really cheap silver or bronze legend cards if you don't have them. You can find them on the market at the link below. They're all around quick sell value for now, but may become more rare when more collections are released.
What exactly are "collections" within this game? Is it an event of something like that? Or is it just collect X,Y,Z of a particular player to reap rewards?
You lock in a certain number of cards so you can no longer sell them on the market (they can still be used in game) and then you get an exclusive card. There are smaller collections like the prospect one that went live this week. I think that was collect 10 prospects for some new diamond prospect I don't know. That caused the other prospect cards to jump up in price.
Eventually there will be huge collections where you need to collect a lot of cards from various types (all-star, post-season, rookie, breakout, etc) to get one of the best cards in the game. In 19 that was 99 Honus Wagner, and in 20 it was a 99 Mike Trout. Those collections end up being expensive, so it helps if you can knock out some of the cheaper cards before supply dries up.
Thanks for the heads up. So when it comes to buying cheap cards (with the link you sent), is there a benefit to buying multiples of the same card (just like in real life) in this game? And then flip those extra ones when they go up in price? Not sure if that is the norm for this game....I imagine it is.
There is a benefit to an extent. Those are likely to be a longer term investment that could take quite some time to pay out. You could spend thousands of stubs buying them up now and potentially make a decent profit later, but that could be months. Topps Now would probably be a safer bet since we all know they will be needed for a collection at the start of June, but the cat is out of the bag already based on what happened last month. Lots of people already have the same idea, and cards haven't dropped as low as they were last month. That means potentially less profit to be made, and more competition when trying to sell at the start of June.
A lot of people will invest in cards that can become rare, or live series cards that could potentially see an upgrade, but for me personally I prefer shorter investments. I flip cards on the market with 1-2k profit per flip. When the market is moving at a good clip (usually at night) I might have 10 different cards coming and going as quickly as I can post orders while I'm watching TV. I make a good amount of stubs in a single night this way, and I don't have stubs tied up in long term investments. So far I've finished the AL live series collection and I'm a few cards away from finishing the NL after maybe 4-5 serious nights of flipping and a few good pack pulls. I wasn't really using the market much early on with all the server issues and the website constantly lagging.
If you are going to flip, my advice would be to stick with cards you wouldn't be upset if you lost, and you wouldn't be upset if you got stuck with. For example, I was flipping the milestone Cavan Biggio when he was in the 30-40k range. I sold him and stopped checking the market for a while. Next time I went on he was in the 65-75K range. Now, I could buy him back, but at this point that's 30K more than the last time I bought him , and it's a card I don't really need. If he ever goes back down I may pick him up, but for now he's out of my range and I've turned my attention elsewhere.
You could also end up in a situation where you're flipping a card worth 15k, and something happens and his value drops down to 7-8K. Now you can eat that loss and just sell him, or you can decide you're okay with keeping him around.
The market can fluctuate quite a bit, so you just have to make sure you don't risk anymore than you're willing to lose.
Thanks for the very informative breakdown. This helps a lot!!
