So my player has stayed 2-way the whole time and is low 90s rating as an SP and mid 70s rating as a 2B (but I was still one of the top 3 hitters on the team during the season).
I started and pitched Game 163 which I won, and then I was slated to pitch G3 of the NLDS on the schedule. So, like I did all season when I wasn't slated to pitch, I activated my 2B archetype for G1/G2 and started at 2B in both games. I hit a homer or two, we won both of the games.
After G2, I noticed that I was no longer slated to pitch G3. I noticed also that if I looked at the team's "rotation" I was moved down to 5th and ranked based on my 2B archetype rating as opposed to my SP rating. I tried switching back to my SP archetype but I guess it's too late at that point, it had already made the decision that I was a bad SP and I wasn't gonna start.
For G3, I didn't start the game in the field and just pinch hit in the 7th. I hit a double. We won the game and swept the NLDS in 3 games.
After the victory celebration, the game said that I'd been removed from the postseason roster. My player won the Cy Young, MVP, and Rookie of the Year -- and got removed from the postseason roster?!?!
Despite the bugs I'd been having fun playing RTTS still, but this really left a sour taste in my mouth and I just don't see the point of playing RTTS anymore.
I think what happened is the game must be reevaluating the starting rotation more frequently in the playoffs and rather than ranking you based on our best pitching loadout they rank you based on your currently equipped loadout. I guess to avoid it from happening you should just keep your best loadout equipped even if it means then you're going to potentially be running the wrong loadout in game?
