Best hitting card on the market?
  • busdriver555_PSNB busdriver555_PSN

This is like asking someone what the best diet is in the world. Well that answer is simple. It is the one you can stay on.

Same for this. Some people rake with middle rate guys, some can't hit at all with very highly rated guys. And the next guy will have different feelings on it. You could get 50+ different answers. My son RAKES with Diamond Gleyber. I can't hit at all with him.

My ballplayer card references C, SP, and SS and makes zero sense.
Hey Colin - Why ignore all questions about RTTS and Ballplayer issues? Just keep ignoring and not responding like it does not exist?

In RTTS, my ballplayer is continually assigned as a Catcher in the lineup. Good. When my agent calls, he asks if I am OK with being a Catcher. I answer Yes. Still good.

When you exit RTTS and select the main Ballplayer loadout screen, it shows him with his 82 rating and a small circle that says SS. SS?? Then if you click the card to see more detail, it shows he's a catcher again as primary position, but SP as secondary. WTF? Why does it even mention SS?

If I move over to DD, the dude is no longer an 82, he's a base bronze 65! And in this one, he is a SS and C at secondary.

What is up with this?? Why would SDS make you do all this? You need to call the CIA to figure this mystery out. Sometimes, the ballplayer is an 82 gold, Diamond archetype (Mago), base screen shows a 78 SS, additional detail shows Catcher and SP as secondary, and DD does show SS primary.

Has anyone figured out how to get this thing as a high level Catcher in DD? I am doing this BS RTTS just to get my player bumped higher. Why would then even make it this hard to get the position right??????

I am an adult and a long time vet of this game. I cannot figure this out. SDS pretends there is no issue. Won't even say "We are looking into it". If adults and vets can't figure this out, you think kids will? No, they will probably give up and go play COD. Nice job, SDS!!!

I hit the best with Diamond Griffey.

  • My Ballplayer position?
  • busdriver555_PSNB busdriver555_PSN

YES. SDS should put a video out on You Tube. Who is really going to know what to do?? When younger kids get confused, they will just move on and that's not really what SDS wants. I am not sure why they have not educated us better on this. When you first launch the Ballplayer menu, SDS should have one of those in-game tutorial videos that launches. I am SMH on this...

Geez. My bad. One territory was not done and I saw it. Hate the contrast on this game this year. Fonts suck too. Someone with 68 speed looks like 88. My bad on this though.

+1. Not a fan of hitting now. Bring it back to how it was before this last patch.

  • Rating Mod
  • busdriver555_PSNB busdriver555_PSN

It used to adjust your range for DD RS match-ups. For example, if you're ranked 500 and have a rating mod of 102, it was "as if" your rating was a bit higher and it would look for people rated as like 550, or something along those lines.

SDS: Can you please confirm if Rating Mod is back in the game? People say it was removed last year with a patch, but no one is really sure if it's back for MLB20???

  • Rating Mod Definitely Affects RS Games

    So SDS refuses to comment.

  • CAP Progression - HELP?
  • busdriver555_PSNB busdriver555_PSN

    Hey fellas,

I have been reading a lot about how the CAP works, but I still find it mysterious. Here's my goal (like many of you). I went the best Catcher possible for DD play.

I have completed the bronze Slick fielding program and my ball player is a Catcher. Do I need to keep switching that top level program to different silver or gold ones to get my guy to PROGRESS? Since he has 100% completed the Slick Fielding one, is he stuck with progression? Or does that not matter? When I switch to something like Silver Slickster or whatever, he switches positions. This is where I get confused. If I want him back at Catcher, doesn't he go back down to like a 65 player again?

I wish someone could just tell me what to do to get my guy pumped up. I am playing RTTS and DD with him, but SDS has made this ridiculously confusing + there's a thought that this whole thing is broken. I do go into DD, do the bunt thing, to get progression going, but then back to RTTS for games. But what the heck do you have to do to get him to gold or diamond? Try all these stupid programs, buy a gold one? Again though, I want the darn thing to be a catcher. I get some of this, but I am lost with other parts (thanks SDS).😵
