Rating Mod Definitely Affects RS Games

Especially on All-Star difficulty. I win about 60-65% of my games, but I've noticed I get smoked by teams of all golds with sub .500 records every day. I'm thinking about testing my theory out by building a team of all golds in RS and see what happens when I match up with a good player with a much better squad.

Or do all Gold Teams just try harder vs All Diamond Teams & All Diamond Teams think its going to be a breeze and swing at every thing

I have the same issue. I faced a guy last night who had Mad [censored] pitching who I apparently cant touch. My timing was always good or ok but my contact result would always give me the jammed ect. I had 2 hits in a full game this guy was 30 games under .500.. then somehow I play guys who have solid records and good teams and I win both.
I feel like the game is nerfed and you could win just as many games with an all gold squad

That's not how the rating mod works..... P.S rating mod was actually removed last year, So while you see it prior to finding an opponent, it has zero bearing on who you match up with.

We know rating Mod was removed LAST YEAR. That does not mean it was not added back. If it was really gone, why would SDS continue to show it? Only SDS knows. From what I am seeing, Mod still affects match-ups. To me, it seems to look at your rating, ping (I seem to play a lot of local guys based on team names, like colleges and high schools near me), then Rating Mod seems to come into effect like maybe 3rd of the things that impact match-ups.
To me, it does seem to affect match-ups, but maybe just a bit.
Can SDS please comment?

Well I think they kept it visible in game because they basically copy and pasted the same layout of everything. It doesn’t effect match making. As far as how it effects gameplay is really just speculation.

Testing is the only way we'll get an answer it seems, but even that can be influenced by psychology. You'd have to have an identical approach and effort throughout the test

Right. So many people swear it was removed and does not affect anything, but it does seem to, IMO. Maybe it was removed LAST YEAR and is back this year. SDS refuses to comment.
