Raisel Iglesias has one in the game when he gets the save. At least he used to. I haven't used him in a couple of years.

  • Stats that affect play

I just started a Catcher. You can tell the difference of TP and TA increases when throwing out base stealers. I'm not sure about reaction though. I thought it reduced that pause when the ball gets hit to a player before he moves, until I had a guy in DD with 99 reaction that took forever to be able to move, and missed everything because of it.

@Th3_Th1n_M4n-o_0_PSN well im 46 and have no issues doing anything in the game.. so I don't know what age has anything to do with it..I read the OP said he has trouble seeing. that is understandable.. But he was voicing his frustration more as to say he couldn't do it because it to hard for him..

I had spinal surgery when I was 46, that was due to degeneration caused by age. I currently have no tactile feel in my right thumb, and reduced dexterity and feeling in the rest of my hands because of it. Add the osteoarthritis and my hands suck...and I'm still not even 50. Go figure, age affects people differently. I think that would be a good idea to scale back the sliders from earlier showdowns. I'll never get Rolen or Williams because I can't beat the NBL or spring breakout showdowns. He saw a problem and put out a solution. Age is usually the cause to lot of problems like vision. The trifocal bottle lenses of my glasses--that I didn't have to wear when I was younger--told me that.

Now entering year 3, no MLb call up yet for Cubs. I am a 91 overall, the next best LF in the system is a 74. 1st minor league year batting .275 with 39 HR, the 2nd .260 with 33 HR. How in the heck am I not being called up yet?!?!?

Are you going to Spring Training? If so, make sure you don't simulate. It should keep you on the team. I find simulating games at all, in general, makes it tougher to get called up. 90 ovr with .260 and 33 hr should get you there. The drop from .275 to .260 looks, to me, like you're simming.

  • I was good until called up to MLB

@Jimmystick111_PSN said in I was good until called up to MLB:

@Precisionist99_XBL Let me tell you what my new strategy is that I tried last night for several games. First pitch im looking fastball down the middle and if I get it, I swing for power (square on PS5). It's a home run most of the time. If I don't get it, I take. If that pitch I took was a ball, then I automatically take the second pitch no matter what. I'm getting to 2-0 a lot more often than getting to 0-2. Need more time to test if it gets me more walks, but it is getting me into more hitters counts, which I like.

Situational baseball. Simplistically, you're starting to learn the actual game and not just video game baseball. MLBTS isn't perfect, but it does pretty well in teaching the game.

  • No-No on No-No's?

    @Nephila_MLBTS said in No-No on No-No's?:

Tested on beginner setting since i kept seeing the same issue i noticed in regular playthrough in RTTS:

ALWAYS being pulled before 9th through a No-No/Perfect Game, no matter the circumstances.

7 games and 7 times in AA i had a No-No/Perfect Game going through 8 innings.
Piitch count always under 85, 10+ Strikeouts with over 70 Stamina.
All 7 times i was pulled out of the game, wether the game was close or a blowout, even costing me the win on occasion since the RP blew the lead and gave up 5 runs in the 9th.

This is absurd and absolutely frustrating that we aren't allowed to create history.

For me, 79 stamina is the magic number. If under 100 pitches, you shouldn't get pulled.

  • Baserunning perks

    @Matjacav_PSN said in Baserunning perks:

I see what you're saying, and I apologize if I'm not being clear with what is happening.

If the BR perks are supposed to be persistent throughout my time either at bat or on the bases, then it definitely isn't persisting when I end up on base (again, just regarding the BR perks specifically) and hit pause to view what's currently active. It wouldn't make sense for the BR perks to activate while I'm at bat since I have no use for base stealing if I'm at bat.

I get the Rattled perk to activate when I'm on the bases, though, even though that's a "Batting" perk. But I'll have the Base Commander perk "activate" while I'm at bat, but not persist or activate when I'm on base, when the primary perk for that is a stealing speed boost (it also does not show as activated in the pause menu).

I'll try to grab a screenshot or clip soon. I may be misunderstanding the process for the perks, and I'm happy to be corrected. It might very be bad UI design rather than an actual bug, or I could be crazy, or both. 😂

I think the main problem is you are on the Blue Jays. Canadians are so weird. 😆

    @Matjacav_PSN said in Baserunning perks:

or you could be correct. Since this is a new feature it could be either. Does it feel different between when you steal with 0/1 out than with 2 outs? It's a bad way to figure things out, but I find this game will often have "feel" to situations more than other games. I can tell you the base commander perk during diamond quest for sure works this way. But that's not player locked. The only way to figure things out, for sure, would be to record multiple attempts and time things out. I'm way too lazy to do that.

Looking at the pictures, to me, it looks like the "currently active perks" shows up only for the current player at bat. Most perks only work for us, not the AI, so not showing for Ernie. Rattled must be useable for all of your teams players with you on base, but not base commander for them. That tells me bad UI design. That would also explain why BR perks only show while you are at bat.

If you are still unsure or confused, you can send a ticket to SDS. They do look at them, even if you don't hear from them. Sometimes your issue is just resolved without any fanfare.

Any way you look at it, I used the term "for sure" twice in the same paragraph. I feel a little dumber for that and can't help but apologize because I actually deleted a third use. 😕

  • Stealing Bases
  • broken_toy1_PSNB broken_toy1_PSN

Maybe your catchers have less arm strength and accuracy. Add that to not being as quick as the AI to jump to second. When I'm 2B or SS the success rate is typically less than 50%. However, my catcher is one of the better catchers. (Logan O'Hoppe)

It's usually 2-3 times a season. Before and/or after Spring Training, and right after the All-Star break. If she's not showing up at all you need to start a ticket with SDS.

He's going to get a 400 HR Milestone Card as soon as he hits 400 in about a month.

The number needed for a power hitter to ensure/insure their spot in Cooperstown. I'm looking forward to it.

@broken_toy1_PSN They do not show up for me when they should be activated. As another poster mentioned, they'll show up while I am up to bat, but stealing boosts don't really help in that moment of course.

When you are up to bat is when they are supposed to pop up on screen. Just like the hitting ones don't show up for each swing, 1 AB (At Bat) would be part of 1 PA. (Plate Appearance) 1 trip around the bases would also be a part of 1 PA. If the perk's usability went away, then came back, that would be one thing, but if the perk's usability doesn't go away during the PA, It's still going to be in effect. The AB is just the first part of the overall PA which will conclude with either the batter/baserunner being out, the baserunner scoring, or the end of the inning.

Does it not show it when you pause the game? I've never checked for BR perks, but it does show it for hitting and fielding perks.

  • How TF do you get out of AA?

@Precisionist99_XBL said in How TF do you get out of AA?:

@Crane_MLBTS I checked out some Reddit threads and there are a ton of posts where people have Overalls in the 80s and still not called up. One person says he's in year 5 of AA (THAT is some patience). Apparently sometimes it's broken and sometimes people get called up right away. I may go through 1 more year and if I get sent down to AA again from Spring Training I'll be done.

One note...I remember simming like the last week of Spring Training in the year I am in, assumed I was staying and was anxious to get to the regular season. I wonder if that's what broke it on this character.

Yes! Simming is always a bad to your CAP. Those are the only times I've ever been sent back down.

Thinking about that awful snapshot series, I hope it's not them in swimsuits.

It will be players in swim trunks, out of position, riding a kaiju

I can't stop laughing at this!

If I do it, it'll be when the whole thing is out. I don't really care for his swing, and a juiced up Corbin Carroll will be in my line up longer than Sosa would. It doesn't feel worth it.

"Juiced up" Totally not intended, but that's funny!

  • Getting places as DH instead of position as two way player on non-pitching days
  • broken_toy1_PSNB broken_toy1_PSN

You've always had to to DH since two-way players started. Order will usually go SP, DH, SS, SS, DH, SP. The only time that changes is with injuries to you, or if you've climbed/fell a spot in the rotation. Even if you're a primary position player, you will still DH before and after a start. Durability rating doesn't matter.

@Precisionist99_XBL said in How TF do you get out of AA?:

@PAinPA_PSN So yeah the AAA scrub they got has a 66 fielding, I've been pumping points into mine got it up to 63. Still no call up. I lead the AA team in every offensive category except triples. 77 Overall now so 12 over the SS they got playing 3rd in MLB. Just makes no sense.

Side question, are there certain time periods that call-ups happen? Do I just need to get closer to the All-Star break?

I'm an Angels fan as well, and have had several players. I like to get through MiLB quickly, so I will play on beginner. You can change the pitch speed sliders so they don't mess up your timing too much.

In the first year, first call up to AAA or MLB is the end of the first month after playing at the Smokies. There is a 2X token for that week, when the farm director calls you and says he's coming.

Next chance is a month later.

Final chance, September Call-ups then start at Spring Training with the team. You can be sent back to MiLB after Spring Training, then it starts over. (I believe) It doesn't tell you it's September call-ups, you just get called up at the beginning of September.

These are the times I've been called up in MLBTS25. I haven't been called up around the all-star break this year. I think that's so you can still win the awards.
