It’s the same game as last year to be fair. Mini seasons was an improvement. Events are some what better but everything else is the exact same. There is no variation to things. And this collection stuff is just annoying now. Collection 4/24 for a 99 card.. don’t know what we have to do.. details should be released a head of time. The players starting at 88-90 (95 pxp)is just silly. I went back to see videos from MTS 17. Diamonds were so rare for the 1st inning program. Now it’s like here you go.. here you go.. 95% are still unusable. It’s all “meta” driven

What is the direction SDS is going this year? All of this seems so random. Some programs have collections, some don’t. Cards are released at random and in this case only in packs. Diamond values are all over the place. Some packs are cheaper than others during programs but give the same rarity tiers. Some collections are over 20 cards another is 16. I know they want to make money and the only way is having some unachievable standard for NMS to force to buy stubs but why would you want to put money into this game for everything being all over the place.

It’s bound to happen. Sports games will adjust when UT doesnt do it anymore but it will be a few years. These modes are the only way a company can make money after launch.
-
Most likely no advantage to keeping em if I remember from last year.
-
Just gotta rip one and they won’t throw again. Just pick up on the tendencies and sit there. Don’t swing if it’s not there. Best advice I have haha
-
Thanks. I haven’t cared enough to look at the pitches honestly. Just move on to the next one. The gaming community is so ego driven these days I guess. The “competitive crowd” are just people that are so ego driven by a games results as if it means everything. All I see are complaints about perfect perfect and bloop hits as if there are no perfect perfect outs for their opponents or they don’t receive bloop hits. If it happens to their opponents it happens to them.

@Rhyno1986_XBL
“ Yet multiple times a game in ranked you'll see balls 50% or better in the strike zone be called a ball.”This is definitely false. This has never been an issue till ABS got introduced this year in the MLB. I’d like to see to a picture or something to show this to be true because it doesn’t happen to me or against me.
-
It’s definitely fine as it is now. To make it like “the MLB” SDS would have to shrink the box of the strike zone by a half a ball width for it to be a strike. I do see them going that way in the future just to have that realism. Obviously keep perfect umps on and no ABS system though.

@teak2112_mlbts
To an extent. I wouldn’t buy madden to play a baseball game. DD is the best UT mode out there but I know you could agree it hasn’t been the best start this year. -
Yup they don’t need to because we still buy. Change a couple things, call it good for the year.
-
The only way to demand more is not buy. It’s as simple as that. Obviously a competitor would help but licensing restricts that. That’s why they pay the MLB tons of money a year to restrict competition. No one is gonna buy a game with everyone named “Joe Random”
-
Agreed but it’s just the reality of yearly released games. Hoping the next one is better than the previous. It’s not even sports games, look at COD it’s a joke but people still continue to buy. It does suck that even the game modes don’t work properly. The gameplay itself isn’t the worst it’s been so unfortunately that’s what I need to take. To your point if you could refund a game (after just a day or whatever it is now) A LOT of people probably would have refunded by now. What impacts SDS is the sales the following year. People (probably even me) will still buy regardless. It sucks and wish it could be perfect but that’s just the gaming reality.
-
Debatable but valid. They have put out a decent product (not saying perfect) every year. It can be better but in all reality we get what we pay for. You say suckered “us” but how many years straight did you buy?
-
You and I both. I love baseball games but it’s never going to be perfect. They can’t make it up to everyone’s standards. It’s a sad reality that we fall into. We wouldn’t keep spending money on say the show 27 if 26 was everything. They know this.
-
Am I wrong tho? Why did you buy the show instead of just playing that game?
-
Cool maybe that’s your game then. You’ll get bored in an hour or wouldn’t have bought the show this year
-
@JenkinMeyer_PSN
Okay. What would you pay for a perfect baseball game with no flaws and up to your standard? -
You can say what you want. But you also did the same thing this year. It’s just how it is.. would you pay $400 for a baseball game a year? Probably not. They know they can get sales off you and I and many others. No reason to make it the best game ever
-
We don’t really pay more. Standard is $70 for a year of a baseball game. Going out with your buddies or a girl will cost you that in one night. I am assuming you played the show more than a few hours. You can’t expect everything when you pay minimal price for a game
-
That’s fair. A lot of it is the same game with different minor changes. That’s just sports games in general though
Am I The Only One Bored With DD
Bullpen Bash 1
The most boring edition of DD yet?
What to do with extra eggs?
Someone explain to me how to hit same side inside pitches
