So I suck at hitting. I have a real hard time picking up the ball and identifying the pitch/location. I’m trying, but it’s a work I progress... any helpful tips would be appreciated!

So I’m playing this guy in the event today and I trotted out 93 overall Feller (I’m very close to prestige games him, I think we’ll need a certain number of prestige players for the “Honus” player) and he pitched Lodolo. Needless to say, he hit 3 bombs off me and replayed them all. Not gonna lie, it was getting to me. I also couldn’t get a hit VS Lodolo not to mention 95% of his pitches were not in the strike zone... bottom of the third, down 5-0 with no hits and two outs, this guy intentionally walks 5 straight to make it 5-2 with bases loaded then brings in Treinen for the save... I get down to my last strike and BLAST ONE OPPO with Sheffield!!!
I only wish I could replay it for him! It was the ultimate FU!
The kicker is... then he messages me... “why couldn’t you just let me?” LMAO!!!

After pulling an Arenado last night (and a few other mid range diamonds) ...

I will say again and again... SHOWDOWNS SUCK! They are way too difficult, take too much time and end in failure for the MAJORITY of average players. This is getting ridiculous how many of us are saying the same thing. It is impossible to hit!

Can we please add a prompt in the market when going into “sell” that asks

“are you sure you want to sell “X” at the sell now price?”

It’s BS that there are prompts in other places similar but not here. I have personally lost over 150/k + just this years release alone! Happened to me last years game too. It is irresponsible for there to be no safeguard for a thumb twitch, dropped controller, dog jumping on you or otherwise and you sell a card at the “sell now” price by accident when your intent was to post it in the “buy now” market. It’s inexcusable and another testament to the nefarious structure of the market in general.

I know the wise guys will make their comments to be more careful, however this has nothing to do with care. It is simply ridiculous that here there is no prompt whereas other less and or meaningless decision prompts in the game have the two extra prompts “are you sure?” and the pressing of “x” to proceed.

The best is his message “why couldn’t you just let me?” That made me bellow with laughter!

This problem with catchers watching players run past them without tagging them sucks! Hard enough playing these people that bunt/steal/steal then try and steal home. 50% of the time my catcher doesn’t attempt to tag or dives when I try and tag. It is frustrating the hell outta me!

That’s cause Showdowns suck! They are glitchy., hitting becomes impossible, bad fielders make spectacular plays, cpu leads off and auto steals and tags up your runners, perfect/perfects are into a glove or warning track... shall I continue listing?

I appreciate what these guys are doing however... I am a HUGE Mets fan and agree the Mets will make the WS. They fail to mention JD Davis and McNeil! And Syndergaard is out for the year! Brush up on MLB before discussing it!

It’s unacceptable! Surely they must have anticipated the server load and had it segmented to ensure a positive gameplay experience for everyone. There is just no excuse, should be able to scale up for high server load times. Sick of the pandemic and chip shortages being used as an excuse. Zoom burst on the scene last spring and was able to handle the immediate load due to everyone all the sudden using their service that was not expected. From large corporate users to individuals all over the world had no problems with their network. That’s just one example.
Another problem is the lack of communication. The technicians working the issue are not the ones to convey anything to the public, that would be public communication department. They must do better explaining what is going on here and what we as consumers can expect going forward.

Who exactly are you to criticize anyone for when they determine they would like to play a game for which they paid with their own money to do so? Why does everyone attack anyone with a different view or competitive game plan? To each his own! If it works for him, great... if it doesn’t for you, great as well! The point is to have fun and be as competitive as you can be with what works for YOU! These holier than thou players whom declare what is easy and what should or should not be in the game is exhausting. Play your game and let others play theirs... and for gods sake SHUT THE HELL UP ALREADY!
OP was simply making his case for directional hitting... I don’t agree, however it’s his game and his choice!

Market is CRASHING! Big time tank on value for cards I have. Just gonna hold them and hope for the best later! Dustin May was avg 108k yesterday, now 88k!
