No, here's the problem with you casuals...you don't put the time in to practice. Why is it that I'm playing on Legend hitting and pitching at maxed out pitch speed but you're having trouble with the game and I'm not?. Its cause you suck!! you suck because you haven't put the time in...If you want to get good at something put the time in and get gut..don't get all pansy and wallmart Karen on the froum....get your S(^& together and practice casual.
I looked up your profile and you have played less then one minute of DD . You play manly “play now “ Whis is meant for casuals . so you clearly have no idea what your talking about . Your clearly a sad pathetic lil man who feels like a big boy coming on forums and making yourself sound like a bad a$$ .
Hitting is absolutely terrible this year . If your down by more then 2-3 runs , it’s over . The timing is ALL over the map regardless of what “division” your playing it . I’ve had 5 or 6 games where I think “oh now I’m getting it down “ then 30 games of 4 hits per . Some pitchers are so ridiculously OP I honestly think about quitting at least 2-3 time a week . I barley ever hit “Perfect-Perfect “ anymore and go through 10-15 game stretches where I can’t hit a HR if you through me 90 MPH fastballs down the middle . Like I get that hitting should be hard , and that you can’t have every player constantly hitting HR or batting .350 . But this year is terrible and I’m sick of the one or two people saying “no hitting is awesome this year , my team is batting .456 “ . Dude I have played more the 400 RS games and 90-95% of the teams I face have maybe 2 players batting over .225 . BUNTING is a legit stratagy this year . I want the hitting engine to not be absolutely terrible . I want to feel powerful at the plate with Pujols, babe , and Griffey . I want to feel like I can BLAST a HR if the pitcher makes a mistake . I want to STOP playing people who cheese bunt for hits because it’s a legit strategy this year , I want to STOP hearing about glitch swings and seeing tra Turner constantly have more HR then every other player on teams I play . I want contact hitters to hit singles and doubles . I want to have my 99 speed guy beat out the 6 speed guy to first on a infield hit . I want to stop having by best hitter batting .230 ! And most of all , I WANT TO STOP SEEING THE [censored] BUNT SHUFFLE !
I don’t think it’s RNG . I think it’s the obsession with “perfect-perfect “ . RNG allows for bloop and other hits you no longer get . It also gives a bonus to the players it real life who don’t have a “glitch swing “ (looking at you trea Turner and your 75 HR ) . It seems like now the only way you get a good hit is if you get “p-p” everything, and I MEAN EVERYTHING , else is a fly ball 90% of the time . That’s great for the top 5% of players , but for those of us who didn’t “buy a monitor “ or don’t want to spend hours watching YouTube hitting tips videos , it sucks . Honestly go play Ranked , play 10 games , mark how many people you play that have 8/9 players hitting under .230 . (Assuming the guy has used the player for more then 10-15 games ) . I know that if I get any replies to this it will be “ What are you talking about , I make WS every season and I’m batting .600 with 78 HR in 14 RS games with Acuna “ or “Get good “ . Bottom line this years version sucks donkey and I have yet to talk to anyone that legit has fun playing it
HATE hitting this year . I’m on next gen and it’s complete [censored] . Pitching is ok but you gotta get a feel for it and use the same 5-10 pitchers EVERYONE uses
He is only wearing 55 on the squad builder screen , in game he is wearing good old #5 . Side note, can SDS please let us assign numbers next year ? Having a bunch of guys with the same number bugs the hell out of me !

The biggest thing with pure analog (which I prefer ) is remembering to angle the stick correctly and not just flick up all the time .
How about everyone uses the hitting type they are most comfortable with and go from there ?

So if the top let’s say 10,000 love the way the game is and the rest of the 900,000 or so have serious issues , we should just leave everything how it is to cater to the 1% because “they are the top players ?
Does Posting this mean the “top guys” now tap the back of your head when they are about to finish ?
So in your mind , in the history of baseball , every single time a player has made good contact or perfect contact , they have gotten a hit ?

I completely disagree with this. The reason MLB players fail 7 out of 10 times is because they don't get "good good" with their swing. If they got "good good" every time they would do significantly better than a hit every 3 out of 10 at-bats. MLB players fail 70% of the time because they either mess up their timing or they don't square up the baseball. However when a hitter squares up a 96 mph pitch it NEVER leaves the bat at 85 mph.
What your looking for is Arcade baseball which this game is not and never will be . Try RBI baseball

I get so tired of hearing that on here. This is not baseball, it is a video game about baseball. The best video game baseball players should be hitting .400 or higher. Of course there needs to be some pci changes so that the player cards are different. This is hardly a sim, a sim is a game like OOTP.

Trust me , how many good cards you have and vision are not gonna make a huge difference IMO right now . I’ve got trout , judge , Stanton , Wilson contraez, Torres , and others and I either hit a HR , strike out , or pop out . The hitting is not good right now while pitching and fielding are even worse . Having said that I have full faith SDS will patch it soon .

Great post. I did agree with hitting being OP . I think hitting has just as many issues as pitching . The difference being that if you get lucky in hitting your hitting a HR 90% of the time where if you get lucky with pitching , best case your getting a single swinging strike . I have played about 50 online RS and BR games since launch and the box scores are always realistic ( in a 9 inning game let’s say a score of 7-2 with 7 hits on each side ) but the team that wins is always the one that has the big inning (back to back HR or two guys get on cause of a fielding glitch or something ) but after that both teams struggle to get anything going .
