Am I in the minority wanting all of my RTTS saves to actually look like me and not having an issue with the “my ballplayer” this year?

Both. Depends on the position and archetype. If you’re talking for your RTTS save, then the one in RTTS

I’m not sure about with the two load outs since I only have one, but use the middle button on the controller to go into load outs. I haven’t had my equipment appearance revert when doing it this way

I haven’t had any issues since the first big update. I wonder what the trigger is to make them stop counting and progressing

If you’re talking about the appearance resetting, just use the middle button on your controller and access it that way. I’ve never had it reset when I do that

After playing 3 complete years I would think whatever Archetype you are using should have progressed to at least Gold by now, if not Diamond. Assuming you are upgrading your Archetype and Perks in your loadout? Seems like your OVR should be at least 90 by now.

Overall is 74 I believe. I have a diamond secondary perk. Is the only way to get other diamond archetype stuff by buying them? Idk what to do

Did you ever switch your bronze archetype to silver? Or silver to gold? If not, there’s your issue

Are they -H/9 on hard hit balls? It’s based on how hard they’re hit, not the outcome of the play

I know they've made it so that you can't earn any progress towards archetypes if you sim at all. Can't even choose next appearance when you're on the bases with all pitches on to get stolen bases and you're done stealing. But even with knowing that my pitcher archetypes aren't tracking at all. Went to get bronze pitcher archetypes up and the missions won't progress at all in RTTS for me.

At least some of it is still broken/rebroken. I hate how infuriating and limiting this mode has become.

So we HAVE to do all the fielding and running opportunities to get progression? I can't sim to my next appearance? That's absolutely terrible. What a joke RTTS has become..

I don’t know what you guys are playing on, but all I ever do is bat and I still get progression for putouts, assists, steals.

And you aren’t getting any progression towards your archetype for putouts or steals (depending on what your archetype is)? I’m playing on ps5 and haven’t had any issues since the first update

Other players will progress in their careers as well. Once you started your career, you have zero control on the roster, it's all managed by your "GM".

There 2 things you can do :

• Play Franchise mode and "lock yourself" playing only your player. It's not RTTS anymore but you can sort of play a Career and manage everything.
• You can alter the roster prior starting your career by editing the roster of the game and when you start a new RTTS Save, you can choose to play with your custom roster. Once again though you are at the mercy of your CPU GM since you have no control, just like in real life a player isn't controling the roster of his team...

Quick tip : always Carry a 2nd backup save of your RTTS Career. It helps a lot when your GM decide to trade your best prospect for aging 70something Ov players... Always roll a backup every 2 weeks. If there's a weird moove, reload a previous save and hope your GM won't repeat his mistakes. ** Or there's the option to adjust Trade slider in setting but you'll be penalized with your XP...

Isn’t it only 50% XP for changing gameplay sliders only? Thought they said in the one update that any non gameplay sliders could be changed with no penalty

You can adjust the trade frequency in sliders, but then you lose half the XP. That was always the first thing I set in previous years but it is not an option if you want full XP... just another change to RTTS I absolutely hate. (Not allowing multiple players starting from scratch is still my number one frustration.)

I thought the change during the one update was to 50% XP when you change gameplay sliders only and full XP if you change non gameplay sliders? Atleast that’s what I thought I remember reading on the update notes.

How are you accessing your loadout screen? I’ve never had mine reset by hitting the big button on the controller and going in that way

I may be mistaken, but I had thought that was how it is designed to work. Which is why if you create a new loadout, that new loadout doesn't have any equipment enabled. I'm very interesting in seeing if this Fix 5 which supposedly fixes equipment in RTTS mode also makes it so that your equipment is correct based on which of your loadouts you choose. For instance, my speed guy uses those gawd awful Stance socks with the flames and the sunglasses. But my other toons who are not speed guys do not. Also, I have one diamond glove that is better for a pitcher - another is better for position players. Long version short is that I think you're right - how you describe it working is how it should work. Just a buggy game overall at release.

You can equip those socks, but then change the pant length to cover them while still getting the bonuses. Atleast that’s how it has been in previous years. Haven’t been able to try it yet this year. Oh and each time you say “toon” it cracks me up

The Dodgers thing in the playoffs must be hit or miss then because I played against them in playoffs without any issue. Doesn’t make it acceptable that some aren’t having issues though

The training has always been like that. You’re talking about the batting and fielding practice which it seems like isn’t in this years game. And they didn’t come up too much in last years game.

I’ve only played since 18 and have never been able to so genuinely curious, but have you ever been able to really interact with the manager?

Don’t go in through the rtts main menu. If on PS, hit the big middle button on the controller and go to loadout to check progress that way

It's definitely a bug and they still haven't addressed it. Seems to be different for everyone. For mine I figured out it is not counting equipment for the first game of any series. But when I click play next game after the first game it has been giving me the bonuses in games 2, 3 and 4 or however long the series is.
A good way to tell is when you're up to bat go to your player card and see which perks are activated. I'm using a gold archetype now and when equipment isn't active only the sniper perk shows up. When I check game 2 and after it shows all the perks like hitting machine, bomber, etc. And you can probably tell just by hitting though I've been able to dial in during game 1 and actually still hit homers on AS sometimes with 60 power. But 95 power is better lol. And more often than not I'm hitting deep fly balls since the same approach with equipment boosts would be HRs.

So wait, where are you getting sniper, hitting machine, bomber perks for your RTTS ball player? The only perks I’ve ever seen are contact, power, speed etc.
