Is there a way to update the rosters in RTTS? I played through one season and got called up to the majors in first week of my 2nd season but when I arrived to the majors, my teams roster has been obliterated and has maybe 4 of the real life players on the team. I play with the Chicago Cubs. My MLB level roster in RTTS is missing Bryant, rizzo, baez, hendricks, marisnik, contreras, davies, etc. I still have Heyward, Happ, and Hoerner on my team. The rest I have found spread out around other teams. Kind of stupid to pick your favorite team to play for and get to the majors to find a completely random roster of players. Hopefully I am missing something and the rosters can be fixed? I would be fine starting a new save file and player, but I want my team....

Yeah unfortunately that is how this games career mode works. There are two ways to somewhat mitigate this however. First, go to sliders and turn trades all the way down. This will usually lock the roster for every team (trading wise). The downside being this takes a little realism away from the game since no rosters really ever change. The second way is to turn off auto saves and manually save every few games. You have to keep an close eye on your roster but if the game makes a trade you don't like, You can undo it by losing a little in game exp. (points towards programs don't disappear) and just reload your last save. Downsides being it's time consuming and if you forget to save for a stretch you might lose a bit progress.

Unless your team just failed to resign players like the above poster mentioned. That's pretty much down to luck.

Thanks for the replies. I might just restart a rtts with the slider for trades turned way down. And ya I forgot half the cubs main roster is on contract years in real life so most of them were gone by the 2nd season in rtts. New save file should be easier to get called up seeing that archetype progress doesn't reset. I also have jumped into franchise and MTO modes with the cubs which I have more roster control over. I just prefer to grind my ballplayer right now and play DD to keep up with the inning programs. Franchise mode will always be there later. And I need to get more MTO play done for team affinity missions.
