PCI shrinkage is ludicrous. MAYBE for a pull hitter I could understand it somewhat, but for a push/balanced hitter it’s just a miserable addition to the game.

@Talkingben9558_XBL I understand what you’re saying, but I also feel OP’s frustrations. There are games where the winner is already decided before the first pitch of the game. This coming from a 38 year old dad who could care less about a win or loss in a virtual baseball game.

I’ll play a game where my opponent is swinging out of his shoes at everything, and I mean EVERYTHING. You could throw the ball into the concession stands and my opponent would still try and yeet it 476 feet dead center.

Then here I am with an above average eye at the plate, with a sound approach, and literally every ball squared up is a line out, deep fly to the warning track, a perfect perfect missile to an infielder, or that insane animation where a line drive hovers 4 feet off the ground for 376 feet just to find the center fielders glove.

Only for the inevitable to happen; 9th inning, my diamond defense second baseman boots a routine grounder just for him to walk it off next at bat with a bloop hit on a cutter 4 feet out of the zone.

Again, at the end of the day I could care less. But come on guys, you cant deny that it doesn’t happen, and that it also happens way too often…?

I’ve been an avid DD player for 5+ years. I’m usually a .290-.320ish World Series player. Can pretty much hold my own with anyone, minus the 1000 rated goons who hit .450+ with everyone on the team.

I don’t know what’s wrong this year, but I absolutely can’t hit. I’m hitting .190-.225 overall. My timing windows seem nonexistent, my PCI is always late to the pitch, I can’t track pitches from the release point, and they just seem to teleport to the plate. I play on a monitor w/ 120hz and 1ms response time, have high speed internet (not fiber unfortunately), I’m hard wired with an Ethernet cord and use a Power A/Gamesir G7 both wired.

Anyone else having issues? The only thing I can think of is I did recently move from Georgia to Maine. My latency has been running 65-85ms the last few weeks, could that be an issue?

It’s so frustrating because I genuinely love this game, but not being able to hit a beach ball is infuriating.

I’m by no means a 1000 rated goon, but I’m a competitive WS player who can pretty much hang with anyone 900s rated and below. As much as I enjoy playing this game (diehard baseball fan), there’s nothing more frustrating than playing a game and just KNOWING it’s going to end in a loss no matter what. You can just tell after only a few outs at the plate.

I’m talking about the game where your opponent is swinging at everything, and I mean EVERYTHING. They have no approach or eye at the plate. You could literally throw the ball 6 rows in the stands behind the home team dugout and they’re swinging at it. Yet here I am with an above average eye at the plate, not chasing, and any pitch I square up is a line out, deep fly to the warning track, or a perfect perfect out.

Those are the games I’m talking about. After a few innings you just know a loss is certain no matter user input. Then the inevitable happens, it’s the 9th inning and your opponent gets on base because your diamond defense 2nd baseman boots a routine grounder, and the very next at bat is a walk off bloop hit on a cutter 4 feet off the plate. Is it RNG, built in code, or is it just a fluke? IDK, but those are the games that over the years have made me take online play a lot less serious. Those are the games I think about when Ohchev, YFK, Major Mangoes, etc go in depth on why this game can’t be played competitively for monetary gains.

Im a 38 year old dad who works full time, so winning and losing in a video game isn’t that big of a deal anymore these days. With that said, someone pls tell me Im not the only one where this happens to them?

  • Who is the Best Card in the Game?
  • Auburn2525_XBLA Auburn2525_XBL

George Brett, always has been and always will be for me. I don’t know if it’s stance, swing, distance he stands from the plate, or all the above, BUT that’s the one card I have all the confidence in the world with when going to the plate. It could be bottom of the 9th, 2 outs, GOAT difficulty, John Don on the mound, tying runner on second, and I JUST know I’m going to get a hit.
