I did this one on Zone, using power swing, and sat on anything up and inside.

Whenever I bring Gossage into a game, "Here comes the Goose, bottom of the 9th!", even though it's usually the 2nd or 3rd inning of a Conquest or Mini Seasons game.
-
Nothing. I'll play the heck out of the market instead. Last year within a month of launch I was able to afford Trout, but it did take a lot of hustling.

Definitely see a specialist. And in the meantime, look up ergonomic solutions for your time on the computer. I fought this a while ago from typing day and night (both for work and for my hobbies) and when it was cold, I would come inside, warm up, but my hand stayed ice cold for an extra 20 minutes, and I had those elbow pains too. I had to change my setup to reduce the strain.

@chuckclc_psn said in What is/was the longer grind? Immortals or Superfractor?:
This was easily the worst part of Immortals. The collectibles.
Absolutely. Especially since it was full of jerseys and caps, none of which you were allowed to actually equip on your team. That sucked.

As an offline player I would like to see them bring back Conquest Extreme. Not as part of any Inning or Program, just as an option, perhaps with either exclusive rewards, or as an offline way to earn a few of the premier RS/Events award cards.

I think it’s actually the opposite. As long as a player is part of the MLBPA and it seems for a small amount of years after they retire, anyone who has a licensing deal with the MLBPA can use the name and likeness of those players. After that time, it seems like you need the direct consent of the player themselves. So there are some greats who have never been in the game, probably because they keep saying no (like Sandy Koufax or Randy Johnson). Plus SDS can probably only spend to get the rights to so many players each year, so it rotates. Players like Mauer were in before (and were great, the 99 Mauer was one of my favorite catchers) so hopefully they bring some of them back again before too long.

wasnt xbh that didnt happen till the next year.it was 2 doubles( not sure but think it was 3 hits 2 doubles)might have had to score a run or 2 or rbi as well. I still have nightmares on that. took me till 26th inning of 3rd attempt to do it, hated it so much never used the card.
You’re right. Oh, and it all just came flooding back to me…how you would have to try and artificially extend games in order to get your guy another AB. For me, it meant intentionally walking the CPU with the bases loaded (two outs) until the score was tied and then trying to get out of the jam to go another inning. Wow, that sucked.

I did it and I stink.
You can too.
This isn’t impossible, unlike the Daniel Nava mission in 18. Or the Damon mission in 17.
I am pretty sure the 4-hit Nava mission destroyed a few marriages. “When are you coming to bed? Your children haven’t seen you in days!”
The other evil one was “two extra base hits with J.P. Crawford”. And some of those old missions weren’t player locked Moments, you had to play out the whole game. [shudders]

I keep playing Conquest, exchanging for Affinity, etc., and normally wait until I have like 100 packs built up before opening them. Which are usually predictable. Today I had 27 Balling Is A Habit packs, which are normally disappointing, but within a span of ten packs I pulled 99 Kerry Wood (love those gold lights), 95 Guidry and LS Kershaw, Buehler and Nick Anderson.
Nice, I’m grateful… but where was that luck esrlier in the year?

I went into Showdowns for the first time in a month or two, and had the Scherzer Showdown saved at 25%. I went to play the second boss, and the info box on the lower left pre-load screen had overlapping nonsensical data, but I ignored it. I enter the game, and there’s no Scherzer, it’s the Orioles vs the Pirates, some scrub pitcher on the mound, and my Pirates line-up (wearing Braves unis) is total scrubs, all common / low bronze. My only bench bat is a bronze rated Kyle Schwarber. I’m only hitting, the score is 0-0, and it says I have 255 outs to go.
I roll with it, play about 15 outs (the 255 counter never goes down) and I finally scratch out a run. The game doesn’t end. It seems like it will go forever since there is no goal.
I quit, and go into a new Showdown (Run It Back). Assumed the saved file was corrupted, perhaps from a game update. I set my lineup and perks, and when I hit start, it says the opponent has an invalid line-up. Won’t start. I have to forfeit that, go into a different new Showdown mode, and at start get the same invalid opponent lineup message.
I hit the forums expecting people to be mentioning this same problem, but… isolated incident? Now it works fine (although my Scherzer one was reset to 0%). Weird.

Which team will Moonlight Graham play for?

I would have loved it if you filed suit, though. “Good news, Mr. Ward. Sony have acquiesced to our demands, and so I am happy to present you with a refund for $99.99. You will also find enclosed our invoice for $2,400 for our legal services. Please make the check out to our firm, Dewey, Cheatem & Howe.”

@tomivory23_psn said in Who let a blind otter design the All Star uniforms?:
Still to this day the best All star uniforms in the history of Mlb was when they would wear their own teams uniforms with an all star patch. Call me old school but I loved seeing a Yankee complete a double play by throwing to a Red Sox player.
It's the only time u see opposing uniforms working together on the same field. Showing the true unity of American League vs National League.
I just made a tear come to my own eye.
That’s true. MLB All-Stars should always wear their team’s own unis. In the NBA, NFL of NHL games you might get confused with the new faces in the heat of the moment and pass/throw to/ignore the wrong guy, but it’s not like you can confuse a runner with a fielder in baseball.
But as bad as the ASG unis were, the official limited ASG bobbleheads for each team designed by FOCO were even worse. Don’t even look them up if you don’t want eye cancer.

Run a bath? I just walk downstairs and start playing. Women want confident take charge men. Don't be rude or mean but be the man of the house. Later this year will be our 19th.
Yeah, women love the kind of confident, take-charge alpha male who does whatever he wants, responsible for all his own actions, and then who spends years complaining on Internet forums about match-up latency issues on a baseball videogame. “Oh, d_e_m_i_s_e,” your wife must purr, batting her lashes, “once you're done instructing other strangers how to live their lives, please tell me again about the deficient ping rates this Ranked Season. And then leave your toenail clippings in the shower again… just like a real man of the house.”

I still love adley over both of them
I was reluctant to use Adley since his numbers don’t match up to a couple other catchers, but he’s done nothing but rake for me. Doubles into the gaps, over and over.

Jeter was a great hitter, but for the entirety of his career, by every advanced fielding metric, he was a below average fielder. Not even average — he was actually a liability with his glove. Garciaparra was better. J.J. Hardy was much better. Jeter hit his way to the Hall Of Fame, but it had zero to do with his defense.

I have never pulled Trout from any pack in 7 years of playing. I don’t buy stubs and don’t buy packs unless I’m filthy in stubs and bored, but considering that you get hundreds of packs each year from all the grinding and XP, you think it might have happened once. But… dear Penthouse, nope.
Within 5 TA packs this year, I did get LS Chapman and a 2nd Half Maddux. Earlier I had two LS diamonds in back-to-back normal packs. From more than enough experience, I also believe TA packs are even better than Gold Is A Habit packs. Never buy those.

2003 Eric Gagne Prime
1986 Mark Eichhorn Breakout
1996 Brady Anderson BreakoutThat Eichhorn card would be on my list too. He had an insane year in ‘86. And typically gets overlooked — even then he had a 7.3 WAR season, and finished 3rd in Rookie Of The Year (!) behind Canseco and Joyner.
