Kris Bryant is a sneaky buy. His position could get swapped to a primary OF with a secondary 3B, which would give him a rating of 86 with his current stats. Given a slight increase to his arm (far stronger than a 67 or whatever he has, and he shows it in the outfield) and hitting stats vs. righties, I think he's a virtual lock to go up anyway. The dude is 3rd in WAR in the league, was a diamond in 19, and is playing like the best third baseman in the league right now.

Crisco. Bardol. Vagisil. Any one of them will give you another two to three inches drop on your curveball. Of course, if the umps are watching me close, I just put a little jalapeño inside my nose and get it running, and if I need to load the ball up a little, just wipe my nose.

I personally love the idea of moments, and I'd like to parrot another post I saw awhile ago on here in saying that it would be perhaps the coolest thing they could add (outside of stadium creator, which I can't wait for) if when you completed a moment, the game cut to audio/video of the actual moment or something similar. Something to make it seem more important and stress the historical relevancy and pertinence of the moment, which I feel is lacking in the current way moments are presented.

Quick addition to this:

Make sure your phone is plugged in when you start your hotspot. Most phones will throttle connection speed based on battery connection and enter a pseudo "low-power mode" when they're drawing a lot, as is the case with running a hotspot.

It's totally unreasonable to lump every create-a-stadium in with the idiots that take a template stadium and put a few crappy props around until they hit 98% memory and save it.

My newest (and favorite!) one so far is a red-rock cove themed park with lots of beach-y features and seating for 30-something-thousand fans. I put a ton of work into making it look good, but I put even more work into keeping the memory down. It only uses 82% memory and plays about 200% better than my old go-to custom that was at 93%.

Don't speak on this dude's hard work because you met some fools playing online.

Kris Bryant for sure. He's been really really good against Righties, one of the top hitters in the league against Lefties and his defense has remained world-class at third.

I don't think it's worth it. We'll get plenty of great soft tossers as the year goes on for a lot less than 95k.

I'm going with a '71 Cy Young Fergie Jenkins. I don't know how useable he'll be but per 9's will be great as well as velocity & control. One of his old catchers said on his command: "I could catch him with a pair of pliers"

I played in one last week where the dude had about 60 cows and 20 or so T Rexes behind the visitor's bullpen so I'd freeze for a good 2-3 seconds every time I opened the bullpen menu. As annoying as it can be, I had to commend the creativity.

Late response as I rarely check this area of forums, but go for Chip. You can't play both Griffey's at the same time so no point in having two unless you want him for collections. I think he's super cheap anyway, under 250 stubs.

Hello everybody, I've been running a predictive analytics model since '20 now to identify rating changes of players as well as an accompanying model that predicts increases/decreases in overall based on those rating changes. Last year I was sitting at a .7 r^2 for accuracy of updates and I'm constantly looking to refine my model.

It pulls in players' real-life stats over the past 3 seasons and compares them with samples of players who have been upgraded/downgraded per rating category, so theoretically the longer it runs and the more data I feed to it, the more accurate it will be.

Here's a few guys that it has getting upgraded, along with a % probability that they're heading upwards:

1. Kris Bryant - 88% probability to diamond
2. J.D. Martinez - 74% probability to diamond
3. Xander Bogaerts - 73% probability to diamond
4. Giancarlo Stanton - 84% probability to diamond
5. Vlad Jr. - 71% probability to diamond

Bonus deep cut upgrade potential:

Christian Javier, based on my model, has a 94% chance of going gold and a 63% chance of going diamond.

Nobody knows for sure, but I can't imagine them removing season 1. If it's like last year, which is what I expect, you'll need to be at 100% progression on a division in season 1 before you can begin progress towards season 2 for that division.

Homers in HRD gave a ton of xp. Not the most major way the xp system got abused though.

You could play a custom game in retro mode with all 99 batters and 0 rated pitchers and fielders and be the away team and they'd walk you endlessly. You could just set your controller down and leave and they'd keep serving up walks forever, giving you a ton of xp for taking pitches and getting the walks and runs from it.

I can just quicksell when (if) they go diamond. I'll be very close to a million if they both go. Conveniently, I'll have enough stubs to finish off the LS collection with about 40k to spare too.

"If". all that work to get those cards cost you about 750k if you just sold them as gold's you could be sitting on almost 900k right now. And it would take less time and risk. You sure can do what you want and I admire your willingness to take a decent risk to finish the collection. But you could do better I think by just straight flipping cards. I've been done with the collections for a few weeks now. That's all I did. Check it out and see how the numbers come out for you + time taken.

I flip plenty. I have almost every card in the game right now outside of the collection guys. Once I'm above the 100k mark, I usually can't handle flipping at that high a volume so anything above that I've been investing. I'm probably 200k or so into Bryant and close to the same for Lynn. I got in on Bryant super early and got Lynn after last roster update when he was super cheap.

I wish I would have heard about these earlier, before they were patched.

I didn't get the chance to take advantage of the big one, I got a week or two of HRD grinding but it was so boring I probably only got from bronze 60 to bronze 90 or so from it.

Pronounced perfectly you have to get that nasal r sound and master the breath pronunciation of the "chet". It's closest english equivalent would be Crow - shae.

I have all but the D-Backs, Rangers and Rockies at 100% right now. As long as you have the initial investment capital, you can easily profit off of the ones with higher value TA3 guys like the Dodgers or Blue Jays. Even on the lower tier ones between the stubs you get for progressing and the cards you pull from packs they usually either put you barely below break-even or turn you a profit once you sell the TA3 guy.
