Why did they absolutely butcher Yelich’s fielding?

they need to go the 2k route. 2k added an "intangibles" rating couple years ago. Which does nothing but effect overall. So you could basically give cards their best attributes and adjust the overall if its to high or too low

Yelich has been a below avg fielder his entire career, not terrible, but certainly below average. I haven't played with him yet this year so I can't speak on how bad he is defensively. I think Charlie Blackmon is far worse though
Actually, Christian Yelich played a gold glove centerfield not too long ago back in Miami. Albeit before he became the MVP player he is today. He’s been solid throughout his career. That’s just from the games I’ve seen him play. SDS is unfortunately keeping his fielding low to avoid him being a 90 or 91 ovr.
Being awarded a gold glove these days is very different than actually PLAYING gold glove defense.......

They said that they have used more advanced metrics for fielding this year than in years before. If a card sucks on defense, its because the advanced stats say he sucks.
