    This is what I have found works really well.

    1. Never swing at the first two pitches of an at bat.

    2. Never swing at the first strike of an at bat.

    3. After this, try to only swing at meatballs down the middle or hangers until you have 2 strikes. When in doubt, don't swing. If you feel the itch to swing before the pitcher even starts his windup, take the next pitch (unless there's two strikes of course).

    I find that if you swing early in the count you are much more likely to hit the ball right at someone. If you struggle with patience, watch YouTube or something in the background and set the controller down until you've passed steps 1 and 2 above. The RNG seems to reward taking pitches the majority of the time.

    Last tip: edit your lineup for different missions. If you're facing a righty, go lefty heavy. Facing a lefty, go righty heavy. Pitching-only mission? Consider the defensive roster behind you.
