my pitcher just dropped an easy pop up following a fielding error at SS wich cost me the game. I dont feel that anything was fixed with this patch.
I hate to tell ya, but pitchers aren’t known for their fielding.
I’ve had them miss easy pop ups on the mound a couple times this year, but it’s rare. You can’t really be upset about it, because again, pitcher.

My fielders glitched twice in 1 play, first Gleyber not moving then Soto not locking on:

Holly dude, why is your pitch speeds so slow? That would totally throw me off so much, I've never seen it that slow...did you lower Pitch Speeds all the way down? or is this how it is in those beginner levels like Veteran and All-Star?...seems like its in slow motion.
Yeah Josh, it's called events and unfortunately if I want rewards then I have to play on it

Just had a ball hit off my CF chest in what should have been a routine fly out
How about some video captures of these events? Video evidence helps a lot more than talk.
I've always loved this about SDS... "please provide us video" for [censored] that is easily reproducible
Too many variables for each unique situation; which players in which positions, how early/late the was ball hit, what exit velo, launch angle, what type of pitch, what direction the fielding player was running from, what fielding interface was used, which park, where in the park, what route efficiency, did the user switch fielders, how far was the fielder from where they fielded the ball when the ball was hit, what was the ‘first step’ reaction of the player like, how quickly did the user react...
Its either provide all of this information and more so they can ‘easily’ reproduce the scenario, or provide a video.
Also insisting on video evidence weeds out the trolls (not referring to anybody specifically) who just make up [censored] just to be [censored]s.

To be fair, they always look that slow when you are pitching and then look even slower on video capture.
I watch the occasional steam of koogs or Kyle playing legend and the balls look really slow coming in when they are hitting compared to when I am hitting.

I have not seen any improvement on the game play still had gallo let a ball get by him that he was moving in on. It seems like the easy pop ups are the issue if it is a running tot he left or right the catch is made but pop ups the ball falls.
-
So this patch was a placebo
-
I'm still seeing running over groundballs. So I can definitely report on that.
I'm also seeing people run diagonally with bronze shields towards a line hit while attempting a shoe string catch like a headass, miss the ball, have it roll to the wall which is their fault 100% what isn't their fault is the game doesn't let them pick up the ball, or fielder glitches out on the wall, that's insane and I thought the patch would have fixed that.
-
It is still not fixed. Got a line drive straight to Castellanos and hit him in the chest and dropped it.
I rather SDS fix this massive issue instead of releasing new cards....makes no difference to have Trout or JD Martinez out there at this point....fielding attributes are meaningless if the game plays like this.
-
Nothin to report here, I’ve still not had a single fielding issue since the update yesterday.
-
Second rs game since patch, first today. Mickey mantle misses an easy fly ball in outfield costing me two runs, then I loose by two runs. Then later in the game larkin let’s a dribbler go through his legs. What’s the point of playing? Competitive gaming in mlb20 is reliant on who gets less glitch errors. Very disappointed, it’s not “better” if it’s exactly the same
-
They stated pretty clearly that every fielding animation is unique. Of course there are still errors, there are apparently 100+ animations to consider. They said the work is not all done. Most people here aren't developers, so I understand if you don't know that debugging is difficult work. The best thing a user can do is provide information to the team so they can identify the specific things to fix. That means videos. If you really care about fixing it, stop complaining and provide videos.
-
I had Kris Davis make a diving catch to left center and a sinking liner that was smoked and I cant catch a fly ball with mickey mantle.
-
The error with mantle he was running to the ball , made it to the circle with plenty of time, he just was a couple seconds late putting his glove up and let the ball hit him in the chest. It’s an animation glitch. Also this was near the wall but before track
I have a video but I don’t do YouTube , would be nice if we could just embed here

That was Showdown Kris Davis. You know, the Gold Glove winner.

They won’t fix it.

See guys?, the ones complaining and making silly posts about fielding will never get fixed?.....use this post to apologize
Please ban this hot pocket eating, offline playing wannabe troll.
How is this trolling?, the majority of you guys complained constantly that the game is garbage and made multiple threads screaming from the hilltops wanting refunds and saying SDS is slacking off and don't care bla bla bla. Now what are you gonna complain about now? go head, make something up. Why don't you man up and use this post to apologize for all the doubts and accusations you guys made.
Are you serious? They released a patch last time saying it would fix fielding and they didn’t.
You say what else is there to complain about?
- Inconsistent hitting feedback
- Pitching accuracy issues - serving up meatball homeruns on good input
- High sinkers
- Facing 99 Kluber every friggin game!
- Homerun or Bust feeling
- Perfect/Perfect is a double play/warning track shot but a Good/Okay is a homerun blast into the upper deck
- Base-runners running like they’re on ice
- Changing hitting when it was near perfect in beta / 1st week.
- Lying to us that skill will matter more than ever this year.
There’s more to complain about but I’m tired of it at this point.
- Turn that silly hitting feedback box off, its misleading and triggers noobs, you should feel when you're late or behind on a pitch not look at a box to tell you.
- That's baseball, suck it up.
- Whats wrong with high Sinkers?, lol okay high sinkers shouldn't be a thing
- Stop playing online and start a Franchise like a real man.
- You haven't tested the game enough to find realistic Sliders yet.
- See number 1.
- Whats wrong with that?, that's how Canadians run when they play baseball.
- Cause they realize it would be too easy and online casual noobs would feel too entitled and Sim players wouldn't want to play The Show.
- Skill matters that's why noobs don't like this year's game.
How do you turn that silly little feedback thing off? I can't find it in the gameplay options!

Swing/Pitch Info in the general gameplay settings Advanced tab (press L2 when you're on basic settings). This will turn off the pitch callout as well - the white dot and accompanying info that shows what, where and how fast a pitch was.

In a game last night, with the patch in RS, in an infield popup my FotF Gallo at 3B wouldn't lock on/look up/recognize the ball... I moved him around and he just never recognized it.
Thankfully it was a high pop and i had my wits about me to L2 switch tp my SS and make a diving catch just before it landed. I have a recording saved and can send to you if you'd like, just let me know.

Thanx bro been looking for that for quite some time. Always felt it was inaccurate and annoying.
