The game is broken due to one underlying reason many of us fail to open our eyes and see.........

    $$$ Player Retention Churn $$$

I might get banned for this but you should all google and research how game developers are using this stat to calculate how much money they are losing when many players leave their game to play something else.

Everyone is competing for our play time on their game. Ask why?

SDS openly admitted in one of their prior Twitch streams that a majority of their player base is not really good at this game compared to what they thought, so they had to “adjust” the game. This was based on their stats and research team.

SDS understands that most of their customers are not very good at this game. Therefore, they don’t want the better players consistently beating up on the majority of bad players causing them to leave the game and play something else. Why do you think Modern Warfare has Skill Based Matchmaking (SBMM)? Therefore they have to give the bad players a chance to “compete.”

So they add the randomness (RNG), random pitching accuracy, defensive errors, and inconsistent hitting feedback to help reduce the skill gap. Then they say “baseball is random” to justify their cash cow methods and many of us buy into it year after year.

The reality is that this allows the bad players who are not good in this game to still “compete” and be happy and buy stubs. It also helps these players think that all they need to do is “buy a new card” to be better at the game.

If the players stay, SDS makes $$$ through stubs.

Sorry if this is long but I tried my best to summarize it. It’s All about the Benjamins Baby

You say it like it's a bad thing that a company would like to keep casual players engaged and wanting to keep playing. Matchmaking the more experienced players together and the less experienced players (the "bad" ones) is how most online games work and there's nothing wrong with that.

Think about this for a second.

The consensus is that most of the “scripted” feeling of gameplay happens at All-Star or below.

Now ask yourself this question: Where do the majority of players play?

I don’t believe it’s a coincidence that where the majority of players play, the most BS happens.

It’s also not a coincidence that they drastically changed this game on general release day. They’ve yet to explain their reasoning for doing so.

Getting my pitchers to throw non-stop balls right over the middle of the plate or having outfielders like Canseco circle the ball and/or get hit with the ball even though he is not in the game is NOT the way to get me to keep playing or buy stubs. I would like to play this game but I am not going to sit here for 45 minutes and throw HR derby to my opponent.

I didn't play near as much online last year as the year's before and this one is looking similar.

It’s a bad thing when the game purposely screws you over to favor your opponent in an attempt to keep them “engaged”.

Sorry man but People like you and me are the minority.

We are outnumbered by the ones that keep buying stubs, new cards, and don’t look on these forums to complain or educate themself.

I don’t disagree, but I’m not really that good at this game and it makes me miserable. With the tight timing windows and faster pitch speeds, I’d say it’s geared more toward the top players. Is it possible that it’s geared toward horrible and amazing players at the same time? And those of us in the middle are the ones who are suffering.

I’m willing to bet the BS will be at an all time high next year when they go multi platform and will try to get all the brand new players hooked on the game.
