Check out this video from one of the best players in the world , who puts up like 40 runs on legend. He states that all star is harder than legend. I totally agree...... this game does NOT play right on all star, the timing windows are whack

    https://youtu.be/eNtaYfGO9cc

I’ve made several reply’s and a post about this. Once I got out of AS hell last season I only lost a couple games and went from 700 to 870 and ran out of time to get to WS. The games I played above 700 were legit, like how the game should play. I could compete, my pitchers were effective, I could time pitches.

All star is total [censored], the timing windows are all jacked up. I don’t like going back and forth either. Hof needs to be universal until you reach WS. This is the best player in the world, if you watch the whole video which is fairly entertaining regardless he keeps talking about how even he sucks on all-star!!!

Please sds make hof start at the DS division at the very least , waaaaaay to many ranks have this all-star garbage.

I'm so glad you shared this post along with Kyle's experience. I finished last season in championship(872) and began the new season at 700. My 1st game of new season was a win moving me to 730. My 2nd game was a disconnect loss in the 1st inning(my up and down were both over 100) sds removed my loss for some reason but still left me at 695. From that point all (all strar) hell broke loose. I think I dropped 3 games in a row to guys that I shouldve beaten. The gameplay was so wack. Mickey mantle missed 2 pop ups after he camped under them allowing runs to score both times. The fielding is bad rn. Timing windows in AS are bad rn. It was a little refreshing to see Kyle have similar struggles.

It's funny when people want to make corrections only to miss the main point if the post. Also....I believe he semi-corrected himself by saying that kyle was one of the more elite players.

All-Star is awful. The amount of lunging and foul tipping, late hits, and inconsistency for good input is just gross.

Tell me if I’m wrong, but wouldn’t it just be easier to make allstar the same timing as HoF with a bigger pci?

It pretty much already is. The bigger pci in this case is the problem.

The timing is definitely not the same. The window of very early-very late is WAY bigger on all star than hall of fame. You can gas up and away fastballs by guys on HOF if they’re sitting on offspeed, at AS, you can still get to it and be just late or even on time. Plus the amount of lunge foul tips on HOF is minuscule compared to AS.

I’ve had guys just foul off 10 straight pitches in all-star ranked, every at bat they get to two strikes. It get really ridiculous, I tried it myself to see how they were doing it and if you just keep pci centered and contact swing the outer ring extends to a half a foot outside the zone or more. So you can just stay centered , contact swing and endlessly foul off pitches , unless one is waaaaaay out of the zone (in that case don’t swing it’s a ball) and when the pitcher finally hangs one, power swing , boom gone . It’s not realistic and it’s not fun

Allstar during RS is one of the most frustrating experiences in this game. It makes little to no sense and on a daily basis it feels as if the pitch speeds change. Sometimes even game to game or inning to inning

Sure, I didnt mean to imply they were exactly the same, but pitch speeds and timing windows are closer than they've been in recent memory. I acknowledge there's still way too many check swings and fouls on all star.

Let’s be real though, the game is far from perfect on HOF as well, but the smaller PCI eliminates some of the problems.

So I thought I would post in this thread again, I finally made it back to 700 last night and went 4-0 today to make it back to CS, further confirming what I posted before. All-Star hell is harder than hof. Just being able to pitch effectively, where people can’t connect w everything from giant pci’s is sooooo huge. Game plays how it is supposed to on hof, please make more ranks hof in RS!!!!!

All star is not harder than HOF or legend. It does make it much easier to hit so that anyone decent can put enough good swings on the ball to score runs and beat someone that they would not have been able to beat on a higher difficulty. That doesn't make it harder, it makes it more random and there is a key distinction between the two. It's also so easy to hit almost any pitch that it can cause you to become too aggressive but again, that doesn't make it harder.

Believe me, I like playing on HOF or legend much more than all star, but that's because I am good enough to play on those difficulties and most people on this forum are too. However, it would be a bad idea to make everyone under 700 play on HOF because the majority of people that play this game would be striking out 20+ times per game on HOF and you would have a hard time keeping the game going if that was happening.
