Catcher CAP

I went power at 89 overall. With gold equipment he is at 95 power and about 85 contact vs both (not sure of exact #s but it's close). Gold Fielding, so somewhere in the 80s with 90 something Arm strength and 49 speed. I'm happy with how he plays.
Honestly, I think picking a good swing that you are good with is more important than the stats.

I think Power is the way to go. Contact it easily boosted with equipment.
My CAP C is my best hitter. I did also recently grind the CF too. So far he’s been ridiculous. I think I’ve got 10 HRs in like 50-75 Abs. Speed and perfect fielding. (As perfect as you can be considering the fielding issues)
I’ll second that swing is the most important. If there’s a live series card you smash with, get you CAP that swing. For me it’s Aaron Hicks.

Balanced/power is the way to go

Balanced...you need that vision for higher difficulties trust me

Dumb question, but just making sure. You went power at 85 and balanced at 89?

Honestly unless someone else can add to this but I've always treated the 85 and 89s as separate cards. Under the impression that whatever you select for 85 doesn't influence how your stats look like at 89...can anyone weigh in with more evidence on this?

It used to influence before (previous games) but now you have me doubting myself

I agree that the vision is huge in higher levels but depending on your stub count, you can use shades, batting gloves and other equipment to increase vision considerably. It’s all preference. I don’t think there’s a right answer lol.

Yeah I didnt think the 85 choice affected the 89. Pretty sure it is completely separate but dont know for sure. I went balanced at 89 and with a little equipment am 100 contact 90 power and vision, 66 speed and diamond fielding
