Have you just had some sick pack luck or something? I think it takes like 1.5 million stubs to complete the LS, right? Getting that close this early in the cycle is crazy with NMS.
I finished the LS in early May last year, but I pulled trout twice and Arenado three times, along with a lot of the other high value dudes (I was getting diamonds for daily sign-in rewards and as post-conquest bonuses... it was my first year playing MLBTS so I had no idea how lucky I was lol). I’ve pulled Alonso twice this year but that’s it. Used up all my good fortune last year I suppose. And I made most of my stubs through gold—>diamond investments last year ... looks like that may or may not be possible this year (at least not on the same scale).
Anyway... drop that fiddy and snag the mick.

I’m also NMS and am 5 cards away, but 4 of them cost a fortune (Trout, Cole, Scherzer, Degrom, and Judge).

If you have a disposable income, why not buy something you’ll enjoy. I haven’t spent any money, but I think it’s ridiculous to trash those that do spend money.
Last Show that collected all LS, I spent $50 to buy Trout. Felt good to collect them all, even if I spent some $$$. -

My only pull for player over 20k stubbs was my first year. Not a coincidence.

I hate to say this, but I've been playing The Show since '08. I typically never have good pack luck. This year is completely different. Just from The Show packs I've pulled Trout (2 times in the last week), Cole (yesterday), Yelich 3x, Lindor 2x, Verlander 2x, Altuve, Arenado, Marte, and Acuna 2x as well. It's honestly been nuts pulling so many. I'm down to just needing to finish the Dodgers, Brewers, Cubs, Rockies, and Dbacks. I sold every card from the NL to finish the AL first and I've probably wasted a ton of stubs buying packs. I never spend a dime over the cost of the game either.
I'm sure they give big streamers so extra packs and stuff, but I otherwise, it's just straight random. To get an idea how bad my pack luck has been in the past, in MLB 18 when they did finest cards the first time I bought 100 of those packs before I pulled my first one. It may have been more than that too. I had a thread going in the forums about it because it was so bad in 18. -

My only pull for player over 20k stubbs was my first year. Not a coincidence.
My first year playing DD (‘17) I only pulled 3 diamonds (Thor, Thor and wait for it...Thor).
In ‘18, I pulled Thor 2 more times along with JoRam and Lindor.
Last year I pulled Thor 3 more times, but it was only the gold versions. I only had good pack luck after I finished the LS collection. I pulled Trout literally 2 weeks after I purchased him using stubs from selling off SS cards not in my squad. Pulled Arenado twice after his priced dropped. But those pulls did help me buy cheap SS cards for the Wagner collection. Most were pulled after the 3 pack bundle of headliners came out.
Kinda disappointed we can’t QS locked in cards this year but I get why the decision was made. Just probably won’t get it done this year. Have only pulled Alonso from my digital deluxe packs on early access night. Nothing but golds from BIAH. Nothing but silvers from twitch packs (if that). Nothing but bronzes so far from the TA “fire” packs.
My pack luck is straight booty cheeks! That’s why I haven’t bought one yet!

Actually, It can be done by this time with no money spent, If I saved all the stubs they gave out for playing and completing stuff plus I do flip cards I understand not everyone has the time to flip or chooses not to. I would have had the collection done with no money spent. I have bought all the 5 packs for each HL. That 22,500 stubs per set. We are on like set 9 roughly 200,000 stubs wasted on just HL. Not counting all the 10 pack bundles I opened at 15,000 stubs each. Yeah It can be done if you save your stubs to buy players. Some people have pulled the high diamonds in the free packs we get from the dailies and TA.

We'll never know but I think your chance of getting a diamond pull is much better if you fall into one of those categories. Of course, there will always be outliers but fairly rare.

I did buy a 50 pack this year. First time in 3 years. I know the likely outcome based on my earlier statement but bought anyway for the hell of it. I didn't get mad when I didn't get anything. I knew the probable risk.
Do you guys really think people that run these games think about your best interest? They think about what will make them the most money. It is a BUSINESS. They know the things that make people keep coming back, buying stubs, packs, etc. They know how to reel you in. You are very naive if you don't think so. Conspiracy no, common sense which a lot of people in this forum seem to be lacking.
