    I have been meaning to do this for a while, especially when we were in the midst of all the Cardinal Chase & Headliner Packs.

    I was curious why, with so many good cards, I was less motivated to actually play. The bottom line was the packs. Cards in packs don't really motivate me to play since I know I just need to grind for stubs in order to buy them which is somehow, in my mind, less satisfying than grinding for the actual cards.

    Here are how Cardinals Legends and Flasbacks were earned

    Packs = 35

    • Chase Packs = 5
    • Headliner Packs = 3
    • Various Other Packs = 27

    Earnable = 20

    • Includes 4 Team Affinity Cards
    • Includes 2 Diamond Quest Rewards (which to me are same as packs since I just buy them)

    Collection = 2

    • Red Schoendienst - Cardinals Collection
    • Albert Pujols - NL Collection

    Thanks for posting this, mate.

    I think it's important to continue highlighting that we all play differently, with different goals, different time availability and different skill levels.

    It's very easy for one to assume that their way is the only way, therefore if they don't see a problem, no one should, but it's far more complex than that and posts like this show that.

    Let me add in this as well.

    I played the Finest Conquest yesterday using all 99s. An upgrade from my Usual Cardinals team.

    I don't really notice the difference.

    Here is a comparison of a conquest game back in March with a beginner team vs a team of all 99 OVR hitters yesterday. Shouldn't I feel infinitely more powerful with a team of 99s? I just don't notice much of a difference.

    I have struggled with this for the last two years.

    I could see that in a developer meeting how they think it wouldn't matter: buy the card with stubs, earn the card directly...its all the same, right?

    Well no, not for me it isn't.

    My account is sitting without most of the spotlight cards, a good chunk of Topps Nows, and pretty much every rare round pack card because I don't want to simply buy the card, no matter how cheap it is.

    I keep hoping for a spotlight miniseason to provide repeatable packs and a good reason to use the ones I do have, but it never comes.

    Interesting you say that because i've generally found i hit better with lower diamonds than i do their 99 equivalents and i have no idea why.

    Chone Figgins is a prime example.
    His 91 was my favourite card this year, so i busted my [censored] to get the 96 at a time when I was really stub poor and I hit like [censored] with it.
    I'm better with the Moonshot one, but my 91 overall still has better stats than both of them.
