Today's Finest Cards Revealed
-
Interesting, I wonder how this is going to work.
Not great. Like @sbchamps17_nsw says, you basically have to buy a bunch of LS diamonds to exchange them for a card.
Of course, all the prices are spiking for these. Based upon my simple math, here's what it would cost to do one exchange if you can buy the cards at QS (for the 500,000 stub James Woods)
91's - 40,000
90 - 49,390
89 - 60,439
88 - 61,989
87 - 65,924
86 - 71,122
85 - 73,378For Brice at 400,000:
91's - 32,000
90 - 39,512
89 - 48,352
88 - 49,591
87 - 52,740
86 - 56,898
85 - 58,703Yandy is 300,000 and Messick is 200,000. So... less.
Someone check my math in case I'm off. Too bad I QS the 57 Glasnow's I've gotten from Vault packs.
I'll probably just skip the exchanges then. Doesn't seem worth it and plenty of other good cards out there to use. Maybe as I pull more dupes I'll use them for this instead of selling.

The exchange at least gives you reason to be happy about drawing Live Seeies from Vault or Chase packs?
Its kind of a smart way to let Live Series have some value.
But these finest cards - meh, how many of them do you really care about anyway?
-
How is Cole Carrigg not a Rockies Finest card.
I must say that Cody Clemens TN card was very good. I hope he has the same swing.'Earn Pete Crow Armstrong' has taken on another meaning for me, since my last 3 AS packs gave me......you guessed it!
-
@Coach_Monk_PSN I mean is this “celebration” not fitting of this years game.

-
Talk about underwhelming, wow they totally packed it in this year.
Just curious how your u see it as underwhelming? Cards released, pack cards or the exchange?
There is still two more days of finest cards to cine
-
@Dolenz_PSN a million people always cry when they realize they might have to do work to get the cards. Like, they might have to play the game...something they dread
-
@rubicante23_PSN I have to do the game's intended purpose? OH THE HORROR!

I kind of agree here, the only LS Im missing are Shohei and Judge, so show packs have essentially no chance of pulling anything worthwhile for me.

Did you know that the Rockies have the first rookie in over 100 years to lead the league in OBP? Dont worry, the BBWAA didn't either.
Jake McCarthy is reasonably worthy of a Finest as well.
Rockies pitchers? Not so much.

@Dolenz_PSN
I guess I was just expecting more programs and content, not the cards per se. -
@Dolenz_PSN
I guess I was just expecting more programs and content, not the cards per se.Okay. Thanks for answering.
They are just spreading them out over three days so there is a new program on Wed and another on Thurs.
-
@Dolenz_PSN that’s nice I did not know that,

Ive seen a lot of talk about Finest, but every Tuesday always goes by without a single person mentioning the Headliner.
Everyone should be singing for the Papa.

I almost posted that card. If they made Willie McGee a two way player it would look a lot like the Cool Popa Bell card

So we have to waste time buying a bunch of useless live cards in order to exchange them. On an app locks us out and forces a cache clear every couple hours. Only to be account restricted every few transaction attempts.
This and the spooky exchange are just ridiculous attempts to waste stubs. Even worse, they're also tedious. The spooky exchange also added the nice addition of frustration from pulling the same bs variant repeatedly.
SDS really makes it hard to enjoy their game.

No, you do not. If you must rush and complete this day 1, sure. But that's on you, not SDS.

Unless I'm missing something (which is very possible), The only way to get these cards in through the exchange. If so, I'll have to buy a bunch of Live series cards to accomplish it. I'm not going to earn enough Live series through random pack pulls at this stage of the game.
Seems like an odd thing to jump in and disagree with.

This game has 100s of cards you need to realistically buy. Wood will cost 80k if you choose to be impatient. The others less. Juan Soto costs far more than all of these combined. Getting the rare rounds of the Finest pack will be more costly too.
And there is actually a stub free path for these, which is a welcome change. Yes its an opportunity cost from selling live series, but between all the ballins, vault packs, and 85/88+ packs plus forever season coming up I suspect the average player will have no issue getting this exchange done stub free if they choose.
