The game rewards steals and bunting over squared up balls hit 100+
-
Just faced a guy bunting with 99 speed guys. Lays a bunt down with the ball a foot below the zone and gets a run. After that it’s bunt defense everytime. I square up about 5 balls with dudes with 100 - 125 power, sending the ball 100 - 106 to the middle of the end field for an out. Only one went to the wall, but of course it was for an out. He gets 2 bloopers for another run and we go into extras 2-2. In extras, I hit another 105 exit vel ball with the new 99 David Ortiz, and it doesn’t make it anywhere near the warning track for an out. Then of course he bloops one passed the diving second baseman going 60 mph to win.
This game constantly rewards these type of players, and punishes you for actually making good contact. Done forever.

Done forever.
I am skeptical of this claim

There's certainly some frustrating RNG involved in online play, which is partly why I've been sticking to events lately. Because if I lose - who cares?
I do agree that bunting and stealing are incredibly annoying. It's not how I play, and I'm known to replay homers against guys who bunt or bunt dance against me.

Bunting used to be a cheat code and then they nerfed it pretty hard. Every bunt became a rocket.
Is it back to being OP again? I never use it offline, not even to cheese DQ like others have mentioned doing

@Dolenz_PSN it’s not insane, it’s just that a player with a 10 bunt attribute can lay one down even if the ball is thrown a yard out of the zone. Not to mention fielding is crazy lackadaisical. I’ve seen people call for bunting to have a PCI just like hitting for the past 5 years.
